Julie Anne San Jose lent her voice to the official soundtrack of the highly anticipated "Encantadia" spinoff series, 'Sang'gre!'
At the media conference on Sunday, the Asia's Limitless Star sang the series' soundtrack for the first time.

The series will also feature a new set of characters including Rhian Ramos as Mitena, the late Ricky Davao as Governor Emil, Ysabel Ortega as Armea, and Sienna Stevens as the younger counterpart of Rhian.

Rhian Ramos reveals getting anxiety in playing the role of 'Mitena' in Sang'gre

Rhian Ramos revealed that she got anxious about playing the role of Mitena in "Sang'gre." In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" on Monday, Rhian said she made an extra effort to get to know her character well. "Extra effort talaga into understanding her, especially knowing na she's an evil character," she said. "Kasi ako 'yung tipong tao na naniniwala ko that all people are good. So, kailangan kong mahanap what kind of pain can make someone evil, can change them," Rhian added. In "Sang'gre," Rhian's character as the Ice Queen is one of the main antagonists of the series. Mitena is the twin sister of Cassiopeia, a character played by Solenn Heussaff in the series that aired in 2016. Cassiopeia is the first queen of Lireo. "Sang'gre" is a spinoff of the iconic Kapuso fantaserye "Encantadia." It will introduce the newest keepers of the brilyantes: Flamarra (Faith Da Silva), Deia (Angel Guardian), Adamus (Kelvin Miranda), and Terra (Bianca Umali). Aside from Rhian, "Sang'gre" will feature a new set of characters which include Ysabel Ortega as Armea, the late Ricky Davao as Governor Emil and Sienna Stevens who will take on the role of younger Mitena. "Sang'gre" will premiere on GMA Prime on June 16. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News

Miguel Tanfelix gets mixed emotions as 'Mga Batang Riles' nears end

Miguel Tanfelix can't help but get mixed emotions as "Mga Batang Riles" is coming to an end. In Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Monday, Miguel said that he grew to love his character Kidlat in the series. "Sobrang minahal ko talaga 'yung character ni Kidlat eh. 'Yung mga challenges na kinakaharap at kinaharap niya sa buhay, talagang masakit sa puso eh. Talagang gusto mong damahin talaga bawat eksena," Miguel said. In the upcoming episodes, viewers will witness the return of Kidlat and his friends—Sig (Raheel Bhyria), Kulot (Kokoy De Santos), and Dagul (Anton Vinzon)—as the bantay-riles, working to maintain peace and order in their town while Matos (Bruce Roeland) remains at large. For Miguel, even though the series is nearing its end, it reignited his adrenaline and passion for performing action scenes. "Nag-enjoy ako ng sobra dito sa 'Mga Batang Riles.' At the same time, feeling ko nasa surface level pa lang ako ng genre na action kaya gusto ko pa palalimin," he said. "Mga Batang Riles" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8:50 p.m. after "Lolong." —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
