Emmerdale favourite 'to get the blame' for Vinny attack in ITVX release
Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) has told a huge lie to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) in the aftermath of his attack in Emmerdale.
Yesterday, Vinny invited Mike over, the man he met on an LGBTQI+ forum.
The two men had met up a couple of times prior to this, and Vinny believed they were connecting over thoughts regarding sexuality.
Unfortunately, it was all a lie, as Vinny discovered yesterday that Mike was after one thing and one thing only – money.
Mike accused Vinny of inviting him over just to try and sleep with him. Vinny denied this, but it was this moment where he started to realise that the man he had told some incredibly private secrets to was someone entirely different.
He tried to run out of the house but Mike grabbed Vinny and brutally attacked him. The violence was so intense, Vinny was reminded of the times his biological father Paul would beat him.
In tonight's episode, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) arrived home after spending the night away from the village. It meant that Vinny had the chance to tidy the house up and hide his injuries, and she was completely none the wiser.
While he was hiding his bruises, Vinny still needed to create a cover story in case Gabby spotted them, and it involved targeting a perfectly innocent Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah).
Outside, Vinny approached Kammy and started to goad him, hoping that he would be pushed to throw a few punches. Kammy was never going to attack his best mate but when Vinny tried to hit him, he had no choice but to push him away.
This, and the shouting that was happening between them, sparked Gabby to run towards them both and pull Vinny away. Poor Kammy was so confused, even more so when Vinny told blatant lies about what he had said.
A while later, Kammy visited Vinny, desperate to know what on earth was going on.
Kammy told his friend that if he isn't honest with himself, everything will end in tears. Reluctant to do this, Vinny got Kammy to leave.
Just before the episode ended, Vinny was seen getting the Hotten Police Station website up on his phone. He couldn't bring himself to contact them, but whether he thought about putting the blame on Kammy for the break-in and attack, or whether he almost reported Mike remains to be seen.
Is Vinny capable of going this far and framing Kammy for this?
All to hide this secret?
Vinny has felt confused about his sexuality ever since he tried to kiss Kammy. Shortly after it happened, Vinny claimed it was a joke and reminded Kammy that he's currently engaged to Gabby. More Trending
In the days that followed, Kammy tried to talk to Vinny about the moment and how it made him feel, but he pushed his mate away.
Vinny made contact with Mike after a conversation with Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), who volunteers for a mental health charity. Paddy spoke about how valuable the charities are, and how they help people feel less alone.
Vinny took to the internet and found a forum. He made contact with Mike and spoke to him about a variety of things.
It was the first time Vinny has genuinely and comfortably discussed that he might not be straight, but bravely doing this has caused a massive fallout, as he opened up to a man who simply did not care what he had to say.

Ross demands the truth about the baby in Emmerdale as Charity fights back
In last night's episode of Emmerdale, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) discovered that she's pregnant. It was a happy development Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), as it meant the recent embryo transfer had worked, and Charity was now going to carry their baby for them. The couple remained unaware of Ross Barton's (Michael Parr) reaction when he walked in the pub. A while later, we discovered why he had reason to be shocked at the news. A flashback scene confirmed what happened after a drunk Charity left Vanessa Woodfield's (Michelle Hardwick) house last week. She threw her ex out, and said their kiss was a sign Charity was just being self destructive. Stumbling through the street, Charity found Ross, who was also dealing with relationship woes. The two residents had sex and now Charity is pregnant, and Ross knows that means there's a chance the baby could be his. Back in present day, Charity denied Ross' claims and said there was no chance, as the sex they had was completely meaningless. It was still sex though, but who are we to judge. In complete denial, Charity headed back into the pub and listened as Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) gave a speech and the family celebrated. In tonight's episode, Charity was confronted by Ross again. He still wanted answers, and pointed out that Charity doesn't actually know the complete truth. Charity claimed that she hadn't long been back from the hospital, with a scan confirming the size of the baby and therefore, proof it had formed before she slept with Ross. But he didn't believe her. 'I think he's desperate to find out the answer because it comes with such responsibility, having another child, it's a lot of pressure on him because he's not doing so well with work right now and his living situation isn't ideal as he's always swapping and changing', Michael Parr explained. 'Plus he's just met his brother Lewis. There's a lot going on for him in his head, so he just needs to get to the bottom of this. So he can get a good night's sleep.' A DNA test needs to be conducted to confirm the truth – but will Charity go ahead with it? She was seen researching tests later that day, but what if the test confirms Ross is the father? Will she lie to Sarah, Jacob and Mackenzie? 'There are so many emotions going on which again, puts more of a spotlight onto Charity's awful secret and dilemma', Emma Atkins said. 'The situation was awful to begin with as it began with poor Sarah's position. It's so sad for Sarah as her situation is awful. She so wanted a child but can't physically have one. And in real life there are poor girls in that situation with cervical cancer or who have had to have a hysterectomy. 'So Charity had good intentions initially to help Sarah in her plight to have a child but now it's clashing with the awful situation she's in. The fact Mack is now so upset as he and Charity lost a baby and it was Mack's dream was to have a child with Charity but Charity told him way back when that it wasn't going to happen. She added: 'She wasn't going to go down that route again. But now she has but for someone else. He's rightfully hurt by this although wanting to support her.' 'There are just so many layers to this story. So Charity had thought she had closed the door on having another child and that prospect killed Mackenzie in many ways – she was aware of that so Charity now holds all that guilt. Of how he is feeling. More Trending 'And now this new situation so this all comes back up to haunt her and it's just a sort of whirlpool of awfulness. And what will she do?'. Just how will the next few weeks play out? With rumours circulating that Charity's partner Mackenzie is going to get killed by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) soon, will he find out Charity's secret about Ross before this happens? Credit: ITV 4 Joe is currently playing Emmerdale baddie Ray Walters Credit: ITV Joe defeated Alex Beresford and Sarah-Jane Crawford to reach the final round. He made light work of the ITV show's pyramid - with 29 seconds remaining to answer the £50,000 Catchphrase. At this point, Joe hit a stumbling block as he tried to work out the last puzzle. It first showed various shops, with stop signs on display in the window. The key focus was "Sign World", which had a single stop sign and an arrow pointing to it. Joe initially guessed "Stop sign" and "Only a stop sign", as the clock ticked away. With only four seconds left, the actor correctly answered "One stop shop." It meant Joe scooped £50,000 for his charity - as well as £6,700 he won in earlier rounds. Host Stephen Mulhern said: "Do you know what, that is incredible. Wow, I have never seen it done like that." Joe then revealed he couldn't wait to share the good news with his charity. Ricky Wilson misses out on huge jackpot as he struggles through Celebrity Catchphrase final - would you have done better He joined the Emmerdale cast this year, playing shady new bad guy Ray Walters. Introduced with connections to Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb), it was revealed he would be involved with Dylan (Fred Kettle). Speaking at the time of his casting, Joe shared: "Well what an honour to join such a talented team at Emmerdale! "It's an iconic show and I'm grateful to be part of it." He added: "I can't wait to see what's in stock for Ray!' Hardest Quiz Show Questions Would you know the answers to some of quizzing TV's hardest questions Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Earlier this year, fans were left outraged after what they described as the "worst" question in the show's history. Host Jeremy Clarkson asked: 'From the 2000 awards ceremony onwards, the Best Actress Oscar has never been won by a woman whose surname begins with which one of these letters?' The multiple choice answers were between G, K, M and W. In the end, and with the £32,000 safe, player Glen had to make a guess and went for G. It turned out to be correct as Nicole Kidman, Frances McDormand and Kate Winslet are among the stars who have won the Best Actress gong since 2000. - Earlier this year, fans were left outraged after what they described as the "worst" question in the show's history. The 1% Club - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. The query went as follows: "Edna's birthday is on the 6th of April and Jen's birthday falls on the 15th of October, therefore Amir's birthday must be the 'X' of January." It turns out the conundrum links the numbers with its position in the sentence, so 6th is the sixth word and 15th is the fifteenth word. Therefore, Amir's birthday is January 24th, corresponding to the 24th word in the sentence. - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. One of the questions asked the player: "Someone with a nightshade intolerance should avoid eating what?" The options were - sweetcorn, potatoes, carrots - with Steve selecting sweetcorn but the correct answer was potatoes. Long-time soap fans will remember Joe as EastEnders' Matthew Rose from 1997 to 2000. The character feuded with Steve Owen (Martin Kemp) - who memorably framed him for murder. Terrified Mack begs for life in brutal Emmerdale trailer as killer John strikes
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video An Emmerdale trailer has been released that shows the moment Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) learns the truth about John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). Mackenzie was suspicious of John for quite a while, but he ignored his worries when the local medic was able to save Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) from a deadly situation. That was orchestrated by John, by the way. Mack concluded that he judged John far too early and since then, they've been somewhat civil with each other. But everything is set to change next week. Mackenzie will make a discovery about John shortly after a huge row with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins). We don't know what it is at the moment, but the trailer is enough to confirm that uncovering the information about John will alter everything for Mack. In the tense trailer, Mack is seen running through the woods. Eagle-eyed fans will also spot that this is the moment from Mack's flashforward clip, which aired towards the end of 2024. Mack dashes through the trees but ends up falling. Alongside these clips, we see John telling Mack that he has now 'joined up the dots'. While this is happening, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) looks set to confront Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). They will share a kiss on Monday, but Robert reckons that Aaron still loves him and doesn't want to leave with John. At the end of the trailer, Mackenzie is seen begging for his life as John throws a large rock above his head, presumably preparing for the moment he murders Mack. 'Guess I really am the bad guy', John says. If Mackenzie is murdered by John, it will be the first time (as far as we are aware) that he truly intends to kill someone. When Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) was killed, John never planned for it to happen. He gave Nate some medication and he had a bad reaction to it, leading to his death. Could this be a sign that John will now become even more unhinged, ahead of his inevitable exit? Lawrence Robb, who plays Mackenzie Boyd, spoke about the rumours of Mack's death this week. When appearing on the ITV daytime show Loose Women to talk about the ongoing surrogacy storyline – that has seen Charity decide to be a surrogate for granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) – the awkward matter of his upcoming exit was addressed. 'I don't want to put you on the spot, but I'm going to,' asked Jane Moore. 'There's lots of rumours that Mack might be getting killed off.' Lawrence, visibly squirming, replied: 'Yeah, there are lots of rumours. And rumours they shall remain.' Quick thinking – though Denise Welch didn't look too convinced. Co-host Coleen Nolan then chimed in, asking: 'If that was the case, I'm not saying it is or it isn't, [but] do they discuss that with you straight away or about a month before it's happening?' 'It's never brutal,' he replied, being extremely cautious about his wording. 'I've always said, being in the show, I never want to be too prescriptive with it. 'I've always enjoyed doing what I'm doing. Ultimately if and when, – if, when – the time for Mack to leave comes, whether that be my choice or the writer-producers, I'll be thankful for the time that I've had.' He concluded: 'Ultimately, nobody is safe in the show. It's most dangerous village in the country.' More Trending Mack made his debut five years ago when he turned up at Butlers Farm as the long-lost younger sibling of Moira. He also swiftly embarked on a relationship with Charity, who was seeing Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) at the time of their one night stand. In the years since, Mack has been at the centre of numerous stories, including a one night stand with Chloe Harris, which led to the birth of his son Reuben.
