She always reminded me to be grateful for every little gift our blessed lives give us. She never complained about touring— she loved this life. She accomplished so much in a relatively short time and we are all so proud of her. She hates it when I sing show tunes, but I got to sing her one last song: there's no business like show business— it was just the chorus, but still, her eye-contact said: bitch, shut up. I love you Jiggly.'

Shigeo Nagashima, Japanese baseball legend with ties to the Dodgers, dies at 89
Legendary Yomiuri Giants player and manager Shigeo Nagashima attends an event on Jan. 19, 2008, in Chiba, Japan. Nagashima has died at 89, his former team confirmed Tuesday. (Koichi Kamoshida / Getty Images) Former Yomiuri Giants player and manager Shigeo Nagashima, one of the biggest stars of Nippon Professional Baseball, died early Tuesday morning of pneumonia at a Tokyo hospital, his former team said in a statement. He was 89. Nagashima played third base for the Giants from 1958 to 1974. Along with fellow superstar first baseman Sadaharu Oh, Nagashima led the team to 11 Japan Series titles, including nine straight from 1965 to 1973. He retired with a .305 batting average, 2,471 hits, 1,522 RBIs and 444 home runs. Advertisement He was one of Japan's biggest celebrities, so much so that his 1965 marriage to Akiko Nishimura was nationally televised and was reportedly the country's most-watched program of the year. In 1975, Nagashima became the Giants' manager but was fired in 1980 after not leading the team to a Japan Series title. He returned as manager from 1993 to 2001, however, and led the Giants to championships in 1994 and 2000, with future MLB outfielder Hideki Matsui as his star player. He posted three pictures of the two of them together, including two from the Dodgers' trip to Tokyo in February for two games against the Chicago Cubs. Advertisement 'May your soul rest in peace,' Ohtani wrote in Japanese. Nagashima could have become the first Japanese MLB player, and he could have done so as a member of the Dodgers. In the spring of 1961, the Yomiuri Giants visited Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Fla., to train and play exhibition games. (David Guttenfelder / Associated Press) Then-Dodgers owner Walter O'Malley is said to have been so impressed with Nagashima — who in the previous season had won the second of what would be six straight batting crowns in Nippon's Central League — that he offered to buy Nagashima's contract from Giants owner Matsutaro Shoriki. Shoriki turned O'Malley down, and pitcher Masanori Murakami ended up becoming the first Japanese MLB player when he debuted with the San Francisco Giants in 1965. Chicago White Sox owner Bill Veeck also attempted to purchase Nagashima's contract in 1968 but also was thwarted by Shoriki. Advertisement Nagashima maintained a close relationship with the Dodgers and the O'Malley family, particularly with Walter's son Peter, according to Walter O'Malley's website. The Dodgers posted a tribute to Nagashima on X, featuring a photo of the 1988 Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame inductee with legendary Dodgers manager Tom Lasorda. "The Dodgers mourn the passing of Shigeo Nagashima, Japan's 'Mr. Baseball,' who died Tuesday in Tokyo at age 89," the team wrote. "Nagashima became a legend for the Yomiuri Giants, who have enjoyed a longstanding relationship with the Dodgers from as far back as the 1960s. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and generations of fans." Advertisement Nagashima's wife, Akiko, died in 2007. They had four children, including oldest son Kazushige, a former professional baseball player who played for the Yomiuri Giants and Yakult Swallows in Japan, as well as 53 games for the Class A-Advanced Vero Beach Dodgers minor league affiliate in 1992. Diddy Trial Sees Heckler Disrupt Court as Judge Learns Anonymous Witness' Name Leaked Online
Disturbances were abound at the federal criminal trial of Sean 'Diddy Combs' on Tuesday, as a woman viewing the rap mogul's sex trafficking and racketeering trial from the gallery shouted out in the middle of open court about the defendant, disrupting ongoing testimony in the fifth week of proceedings, and the trial's judge discovered that the name of 'Mia,' a pseudonymous witness, was leaked online. The heckler on Tuesday is a woman named Jacqueline 'Candor' Williams, who has been a regular inside and outside of the courthouse at 500 Pearl Street in Lower Manhattan. She has been a fixture there, speaking to a smartphone in the front of the courthouse where members of the press await the departure of Combs' mother and sons each day; she's also been present in the court's overflow room where press and members of the public watch the untelevised trial on medium-sized closed circuit TV screens. On Tuesday, Williams secured a seat in the courtroom where the trial was being held. She then yelled, 'You're laughing at a Black man's legacy,' before adding, 'Pull your gun out, ninja, I dare you.' Combs remained calm as this all occurred, but as Williams and another witness inside the courtroom told reporter Emilie Hagan, the jailed mogul pivoted in his chair with his mouth open when he heard Williams mention a security guard's gun. Judge Arun Subramanian quickly ordered the woman removed from the courtroom. Williams said that she has been told not to return to the trial room but that she is still allowed to view proceedings from the overflow room. The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to Williams via Instagram but did not immediately receive a reply. Her outburst caused a minor delay, and it occurred prior to the start of testimony from Eddy Garcia, a Los Angeles hotel security employee, when the 2016 incident occurred where Combs beat and dragged ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in L.A., all of which was caught on security footage. Garcia was a 33-year-old security guard at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016. He testified about speaking with a nervous-sounding Combs and his chief of staff, Kristina Khorram, about the footage of the rap mogul viciously beating then-girlfriend Ventura in a hallway there nearly a decade ago. He told the court he ultimately accepted $100,000 for what he believed was the only footage of the horrific incident. Garcia testified that he split the money with a manager and another staff member, another guard; however, he had filmed the footage to show to his wife, and video of Combs attacking Ventura eventually leaked to CNN. Garcia's testimony followed that of 'Mia,' a former personal assistant of Combs who used a pseudonym in court as part of her testimony, which included discussion of several alleged incidents where she says she was raped or sexually assaulted by Combs. On Tuesday, the identity of 'Mia' was leaked online by a YouTube streamer and posted on X (formerly Twitter) by another outlet. Prosecutor Maurene Comey raised the state's concerns about the leaked name after the YouTube streamer shared Mia's identity; the streamer has now been barred from the federal court and will no longer be able to cover court proceedings. Comey told the judge that a second outlet had posted the real name of 'Mia' on X and requested that the judge ensure the post was removed and the source who posted it online was barred from court. The state prosecutors have been asked to draft a possible court order for consideration. Combs was federally indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution in September and has been held in a Brooklyn federal jailhouse since then. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Sabrina Carpenter teases new music in a pair of cheeky hot pants
Sun's out, buns out. On Monday, Sabrina Carpenter dropped a video on Instagram seemingly teasing new music, showing off her figure in dangerously cheeky denim hot pants. With her back facing the camera, the 'Espresso' hitmaker, 26, attempts hitchhiking in a deserted area, wearing her butt-baring shorts, a white cropped blouse with a tie front and dangerously high baby blue heels. Though short-shorts have become a fixture in Carpenter's pop star wardrobe, these are potentially her teeniest pair yet. Carpenter's signature long blond curls, typically perfected by celebrity hairstylist Laurie Heaps, are bouncier than ever in the clip, too, hitting just below her shoulders. The video is silent until a second car passes by without stopping, with Carpenter, who stands next to a suitcase, letting out a giggle and an 'Oh boy.' Spotify's Instagram account quipped, 'how dare they not stop for sabrina???' Meanwhile, Sephora joked, '*hops in car* we're on our way Sabrina!!' A third enthusiastically wrote, 'SUMMER OF SABRINA AND MAY IT CONTINUE FOREVER' Some believe there's new music in the works, with one commenting, 'thank GOD we've been starving for a song of the year.' Others are desperately trying to figure out more about the cryptic video. 'SABRINA WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL US,' one fan pleaded. 'WHAT DOES IT MEAN,' a second questioned. It does seem that the Disney alum plans to release a new song — potentially called 'Manchild' — as billboards have started popping up, hinting at the release. Besides the title, they read, 'Amen,' 'Hey men!' and 'I swear they choose me, I'm not choosing them.' Carpenter released her hit album 'Short n' Sweet' last August and then dropped an extended version on February 14. In September, the musician kicked off the 'Short n' Sweet' tour for her sixth studio album, making stops around North America and Europe and will headline Lollapalooza next month. Fans will have to wait to see if she drops another song of the summer.
