Leonardo DiCaprio reflects on turning 50 and feeling as though he is still 32

Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio has reflected on turning 50 and revealed he still feels as though he is in his early 30s. The Los Angeles-born A-lister, known for his roles in Titanic, The Wolf Of Wall Street and Romeo And Juliet, celebrated his milestone birthday in November. Advertisement In conversation with US filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson for men's magazine Esquire, DiCaprio said he feels 32 in response to Anderson asking him how old he feels, imagining he does not know his actual age. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Esquire (@esquire) 'You're going to answer as quickly as you can. If you didn't know how old you are, how old are you right now?' Anderson asked. Responding to Anderson's question on whether now is 'a natural time for reflection' after turning 50, DiCaprio said: 'Well, it creates a feeling like you have a desire to just be more honest and not waste your time. 'I can only imagine how the next few decades are going to progress. I look at my mother, for example, and she just says exactly what she thinks and wastes no time. She spends no time trying to fake it.' 'You have to just be much more upfront. It's almost a responsibility because much more of your life is behind you than it is ahead of you.' DiCaprio stars in Anderson's new film, One Battle After Another, an action thriller which sees a group of ex-revolutionaries reunite to save the daughter of DiCaprio's character. Asked how he avoids getting the 'blues' after filming, he said: 'I think I'm good at it because I take a lot of time off between films. Advertisement 'I do things more sparingly, which means you're anxious to get back to your real life once you've finished filming. 'Life goes on hold when you're filming. Everything stops and gets put on the back burner in your real life. 'I might be more concerned if I worked too much. To go from film to film, I would be scared about: what do I have to come back to? I'm very fortunate for that.' DiCaprio made his film debut in 1991 and has since won a slew of awards including an Oscar and Bafta for his role in 2015's The Revenant. It's The Aviator. That's simply because it was such a special moment to me. 'I had worked with Marty (Scorsese) on Gangs Of New York, and I'd been toting around a book on Howard Hughes for 10 years. 'I almost did it with Michael Mann, but there was a conflict and I ended up bringing it to Marty. I was 30. It was the first time as an actor I got to feel implicitly part of the production, rather than just an actor hired to play a role. 'I felt responsible in a whole new way. I've always felt proud and connected to that film as such a key part of my growing up in this industry and taking on a role of a real collaborator for the first time.' Advertisement

Ranvir Singh takes stinging swipe at Brooklyn Beckham's vow renewal as she shares her theory on why he'll never change his surname

Presenter Ranvir Singh has made her feelings very clear about Brooklyn Beckham 's much-publicised vow renewal with his wife Nicola Peltz. The 26-year-old aspiring chef and his actress wife, 30, recently held a second wedding ceremony on August 2 at Nicola's billionaire father's estate in Westchester County, New York. But while the loved-up couple appeared to be celebrating their union once more, the absence of Brooklyn's parents - football legend David and fashion designer Victoria Beckham - has only fuelled rumours of a family feud. According to reports, the Beckhams were left out of the event entirely, a move insiders have described as 'cruel and spiteful'. The decision to host a vow renewal after only three years of marriage has sparked backlash online, with critics questioning whether such a lavish celebration was necessary. TV host Ranvir, 48, weighed in on the controversy during a discussion on ITV 's Lorraine alongside US entertainment correspondent Ross King and Woman and Home's Hannah Fernando. When Hannah mentioned Brooklyn's desire to renew his vows annually, Ranvir responded with a scathing remark. 'He hasn't got a job, that's why,' she said bluntly. The Good Morning Britain host also addressed the criticism directed at Brooklyn over his decision to retain the Beckham surname, despite reportedly distancing himself from his famous family. 'There seems to be quite a lot of kickback from fans looking at it and going, "If he feels so separated from the Beckhams, maybe he should change his surname,"' she said. Ranvir went on to suggest that the name itself plays a key role in Brooklyn's public persona, adding: 'He lives off that name essentially, that is his inheritance - the name.' Her co-host Hannah said of the ceremony: 'In the words of my daughter, it gives me the massive ick to be honest with you. 'I mean, three years on and you're already having to renew your wedding vows. 'It's clearly a statement and it does feel very publicity driven.' The Lorraine presenters suggested the event was a publicity stunt designed to gain more traction for their respective brands. Ross said: 'Why does everyone have to do it with pictures? Can nobody just go off and quietly do it? 'I'm laughing at the fact that after three years they're renewing their wedding vows, I'm sure they thought about doing it after one, after two, after three. 'Do it every single year because it's another publicity opportunity.' The Beckhams are currently on holiday, regularly sharing snaps from their time in the sun. 'Why does it all have to be played out in the media,' Ross continued. 'Well I do know why, because it's publicity and we're talking about them and I think that's it.' While the Beckham family remained noticeably absent from the vow renewal, Nicola took to Instagram to share a series of intimate images from the ceremony, capturing moments of joy with her husband and their guests. She captioned the photos with 'only love' and 'this day meant so much to us'. For the occasion, Nicola paid tribute to her mother, Claudia, by wearing a reworked version of the wedding dress she first wore in 1985. Brooklyn looked classic in a sharp black tuxedo. One poignant image shows the couple standing together as Nicola's father, billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, reads from a card, leading the ceremony in front of a small group of loved ones.
