Lucknow: Top BJP netas are gearing up to carry out an extensive ground level campaign in UP to mark completion of the first year of Modi 3.0 govt next month.
The campaign, aimed to ratchet up public support, will be part of a nationwide plan to highlight the works of the BJP govts in the Centre as well as UP.
The campaign will begin around June 9, marking exactly one year of Modi 3.0 govt in office.
Sources in the party confirmed that top BJP leaders from Delhi and Lucknow are finalizing the campaign's blueprint. While the finer details are still under discussion, the overall strategy is expected to include rallies, public meetings, and outreach initiatives spanning urban and rural constituencies alike.
"This has been the policy of the party to put forth its works before the people every year.
The completion of one year of the third term of the Modi govt provides us yet another opportunity to reach out to the people," said UP BJP spokesperson Hero Bajpai.
Sources said Union ministers, state-level leaders, and key organizational functionaries will be assigned specific districts to spearhead these outreach drives. The campaign is expected to have a significant role for the party IT cells and social media teams which would be tasked to amplify campaign messages, success stories of govt schemes, and real-time updates from ground events.

Sources said the campaign will revolve around four key issues – the army strike against Pakistan post Pahalgam terror attack, Waqf Amendment Act, honour of Dalit icon BR Ambedkar, and the One-Nation-One-Election (ONOE) proposal.
A senior BJP functionary said the party plans to highlight the Indian Army's strike against terrorist camps in Pakistan in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, positioning it as a testament to Modi govt strong and decisive national security policy.
Likewise, the focus on recent amendments to the Waqf Act, which the party has been arguing promotes transparency in Waqf property management, will be central to the campaign. The BJP is expected to highlight the Waqf Amendment Act as a measure to reach out to the non-Muslim communities with land rights and property administration.
The campaign will also see BJP leaders reaffirm their commitment to Dalit welfare and social justice by celebrating the legacy of BR Ambedkar.
The party plans to organise events including seminars and welfare scheme announcements, particularly in Dalit-dominated constituencies.
The issue of ONOE will also be pitched as a cost-saving and governance-enhancing reform. A senior BJP leader said that the party aims to spark a national conversation around electoral efficiency and political stability.
With the 2024 general elections behind and preparations for the 2027 assembly elections in view, the campaign is seen as a crucial exercise in consolidating voter confidence and party organisation --- especially in UP which is the most critical battleground for the BJP.

All preparations are underway to ensure the success of the Prime Minister's visit to inaugurate the first Vande Bharat train in the region. Although no official statement regarding the Prime Minister's anticipated visit has been issued, sources have indicated that the local administration in Katra is reportedly making arrangements for the expected event. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was previously scheduled to inaugurate the service, but the event was cancelled at the last moment due to inclement weather. Sources have suggested that other railway projects, such as the inauguration of the Chenab Bridge, may also be included in the programme, which is tentatively scheduled to take place on 6 June. In fact, as sources noted, the government aims to complete this programme before 9 June, which marks the 11th anniversary of Narendra Modi's tenure as Prime Minister. Environment activists protesting against Mahadayi basin projects in Karnataka have demanded an apology from BJP MP Jagadish Shettar for calling them 'agents of Goa government'. 'The statement by Belagavi MP Jagadish Shettar, branding eminent environmentalists of Belagavi as 'agents of the Goa government', is not only shameful, it is a deliberate attack on truth, dignity, and the democratic voice of the people. The MP should immediately issue a public apology,' activist Sujit Mulgund said in Belagavi on June 2. He told reporters that the activists who Mr. Shettar had termed agents are respected personalities who had worked hard for decades to protect and preserve the environment. Raju Topannanvar, activist, said that the 'Save Water, Save Western Ghats' movement will organise a rally in Belagavi on June 3 to protest against the Mahadayi basin projects. 'We are doing this for the environment. Not for any party, not for Goa, not for votes. We will march for truth, forests, water, and future generations. Let the people judge who is truly serving Belagavi and who is serving vested interests,' Mr. Topannanavar said. He said that Ridhima Pandey, a 17-year-old climate activist from Haridwar, would join the rally. 'Her journey of activism began in 2017 when she filed a petition against the government of India for failing to fulfil its commitments under the Paris Agreement. In 2019, Ridhima joined 15 other children, including Greta Thunberg, in a historic lawsuit at the United Nations against five countries —Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, and Turkey — for violating the rights of children through inaction on climate change,' Mr. Topannanavar said.
