Troy Fautanu ready for upcoming season after injury derailed rookie campaign
The Steelers' offensive line is going to look a bit different this season, in part because Troy Fautanu is healthy again and back on the field.
Fautanu, the team's first round pick last year, says he's excited to be back on the field after spending nearly all of last season on the sidelines.
After suffering a knee injury early in the season, Fautanu was placed on injured reserve and only appeared in one game for the Steelers.
Fautanu says dealing with the injury was a difficult time for him, but he's happy to be on the other side of it now.
"I wouldn't say I handled it the best some of the time," Fautanu said. "I would say I was my biggest enemy sometimes and thinking about my future when I really just had to lock in what was going on that day."
Fautanu said that once he was able to focus on the day to day, he felt he was able to turn corner in the recovery from his injury.

With Fautanu back in the mix for the Steelers, there will be some movement on the offensive line.
Broderick Jones, who moved to right tackle in Fautanu's absence, will be back in his original spot at left tackle and Fautanu will be on the right side.
"Being back on the left, I feel like it's a bigger boost for me," Jones said. "Just because I've been used to playing on the left side."
"At the end of the day, I made it through and I feel like that's what made me stronger and that's what's gonna make me play the best I can for this team," Fautanu said.
Thursday will be the final day of Organized Team Activities for the Steelers.

Reynolds tied it again with his eighth home run of the season into the left-field bleachers. Turner drove in two with a two-out single for a 4-2 lead in the fourth. Henry Davis answered with a two-run homer the same inning. Matt Strahm struck out the side for the Phillies in the eighth. Bednar immediately matched him in the ninth, capped by getting Turner to whiff on a curveball in the dirt. Pirates starter Bailey Falter allowed four runs on five hits in 3 2/3 innings. Chase Shugart, Caleb Ferguson, Dennis Santana and Bednar combined to give up two hits and one walk with eight strikeouts the rest of the way. Endy Rodríguez left due to right elbow discomfort and continues to be evaluated, the Pirates said. LHP Ranger Suárez (4-0, 2.72 ERA) will take the mound for the Phillies on Saturday opposite Pirates LHP Andrew Heaney (3-4, 3.39).

Kate Rouch, OpenAI's chief marketing officer, said she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Rouch said she is expected to make a full recovery and urged other women to prioritize their health. She said she leaned on OpenAI's ChatGPT to navigate her treatment. Kate Rouch, the chief marketing officer at OpenAI, shared on Friday that she was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer weeks after assuming the role, which she called her "dream job," in December. In a thread posted on X, Rouch said she was sharing her story to help other women, adding, "We can't control what happens to us--but we can choose how we face it. My biggest lesson: no one fights alone." Prior to joining OpenAI as the company's first CMO, Rouch was CMO at Coinbase and, before that, spent over a decade at Meta, including as vice president, global head of brand and product marketing. Rouch said she started treatment right around the Super Bowl in February, when OpenAI aired its first-ever ad, and that she has since gone through 13 rounds of chemotherapy while leading OpenAI's marketing team. She wrote that she is expected to make a full recovery.
