India ‘financing' Ukraine conflict
In an interview with Fox News on Sunday, Miller addressed Washington's decision to impose 25% tariffs on imports from India, plus impose an undisclosed penalty on the South Asian nation for its defense and trade ties with Russia.
'What he (Trump) said very clearly is that it is not acceptable for India to continue financing this war by purchasing the oil from Russia,' Miller told Fox News. 'People will be shocked to learn that India is basically tied with China in purchasing Russian oil. That's an astonishing fact.'
Last week, Trump attacked New Delhi for its ties to Moscow in a post on his Truth Social account. 'I don't care what India does with Russia,' he said. 'They can take their dead economies down together, for all I care. We have done very little business with India, their Tariffs are too high, among the highest in the world.'

The US president has also threatened 100% tariffs on exports from countries that buy Russian oil unless Moscow reaches a major peace deal with Ukraine.
Last week, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio criticized India for continuing to import the discounted oil despite Western sanctions, claiming New Delhi was 'helping to sustain the Russian war effort.' Rubio, in a Fox Radio interview on Thursday called India's energy trade with Russia 'a point of irritation' in Washington's relationship with New Delhi.
New Delhi has defended its decision to ramp up purchases of Russian oil despite enormous pressure from the West, by arguing that it has helped global markets avoid sharp increases in crude prices.

US threats to impose secondary sanctions on Russia's trading partners are illegal and a breach of other nations' sovereign rights, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said. In an interview with Bloomberg on Monday, Whitaker claimed that purchasing Russian oil amounts to sponsoring hostilities in the Ukraine conflict. He asserted that introducing sanctions on importers would cut off Moscow's main source of revenue. India, one of the largest importers of Russian crude alongside China, responded that it would 'safeguard its national interests and economic security,' calling the idea of targeting the country over energy purchases 'unjustified and unreasonable.' New Delhi has also pointed to ongoing Western trade with Russia, despite repeated pledges to sever economic ties. Beijing likewise defended its economic cooperation with Russia, stating that China will 'always ensure its energy supply in ways that serve our national interests.' 'China will firmly defend its sovereignty, security, and development interests,' the Foreign Ministry said on Monday, adding that 'coercion and pressure will not achieve anything.' In July, Brazil condemned similar remarks by NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte about potential secondary sanctions on BRICS nations trading with Russia, calling them 'totally absurd.' All three countries also highlighted what they described as Western hypocrisy toward importers of Russian energy, noting that both the US and the EU have maintained trade relations with Moscow.

Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is scheduled to visit Russia this week to discuss defense and security matters, the Times of India reported on Tuesday. Doval is expected to hold talks with senior Russian officials and is likely to discuss the purchase of more S-400 air defense missile systems, according to the report. US grand jury to investigate Russiagate hoax
US Attorney General Pam Bondi has ordered a grand jury to examine the origins of the 'Russiagate' affair, media outlets reported on Monday. The move follows the release of newly declassified intelligence suggesting that senior US officials may have manipulated intelligence to support unsubstantiated claims of Russian collusion with Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has referred the materials to a grand jury to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to support criminal charges, several media outlets reported, citing sources familiar with the proceedings. The DOJ declined to comment on the matter. Since mid-July, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has declassified several documents which she claims show that top officials under then-President Barack Obama worked with intelligence agency heads to discredit Trump and undermine his first presidency even before he took office. Among those named in the allegations are former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Gabbard alleges they manipulated intelligence assessments to portray Trump as the preferred candidate of the Russian government. Moscow has consistently denied interfering in the 2016 election, with Russian officials characterizing the US accusations as a product of partisan infighting. While Special Counsel Robert Mueller led a sweeping probe into alleged Russian interference, his 2019 report did not result in any charges supporting the claim that Trump had conspired with Moscow.
