Eagle Sports FC, based in Littler's hometown of Warrington, play their senior football in the Cheshire Football League, step seven of the English game.
The local sporting legend chose a match between the team's development squad and Bruche Athletic to make his appearance.
The players were thrilled to see the Nuke in attendance, and he took time to get photos with them outside of the ground.
He was not quite the lucky charm the team would have hoped for though, as they secured a 2-2 draw on the day.

Newcastle star 'likes' post slamming Alexander Isak as Liverpool plot second bid
Alexander Isak has made it clear he wishes to leave Newcastle for Liverpool (Picture: Getty) Newcastle star Joelinton has made his stance clear on Alexander Isak's conduct after 'liking' a social media post criticising the 'destructive path' the forward has taken this summer. Isak informed Newcastle's hierarchy of his desire to seek opportunities elsewhere last month and the situation has turned increasingly bitter in the proceeding days and weeks. Liverpool have emerged as Isak's priority for the new campaign and the 25-year-old – the Magpies' top scorer with 27 goals last term – has been training alone after opting out of Newcastle's pre-season tour of Asia. An impassioned post from Isak on Tuesday evening accused Newcastle of 'breaking promises' and holding him to ransom with just a fortnight remaining of the transfer window. The Toon responded with an explosive statement of their own, refuting Isak's claims while also stressing that they would be prepared to stand in the way of the Swede's potential exit at St James' Park. It remains to be seen if Liverpool will return with a follow-up bid for Isak having seen an initial offer of £110million – plus add-ons – rejected out of hand by their Premier League rivals.. The latest reports suggest the English champions would be willing to break the British transfer record for a second time this summer by lodging a £130m bid for Isak before the September 1 deadline. The Sweden striker has accused Newcastle of 'broken promises' (Picture: Getty) Liverpool are reportedly considering a second bid for Isak (Picture: Getty) How to watch 215 Premier League matches this season (Picture: Metro/Sky Sports) Sky Sports is going full throttle this Premier League season, airing a record-breaking 215 live matches - that's nearly double the usual dose of drama, goals, and post-match meltdowns. However, it's understood Newcastle are refusing to waver from their £150m asking price and would only consider selling if they are confident they can bring in a viable replacement. Yoane Wissa remains Newcastle's top target up front, but Brentford turned down their initial proposal for the attacker and are believed to be holding out for a fee in excess of £50m. It's fair to say Isak's conduct has left many Newcastle fans furious, with loud chants of, 'There's only one greedy b******', heard in the away end at Villa Park last weekend. And it seems Isak's behaviour has begun to seriously frustrate and anger members of the Newcastle dressing room – that's if Joelinton's social media antics are anything to go by. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Up Next Previous Page Next Page With the situation threatening to descend into a farce, several eagle-eyed Newcastle fans spotted that Joelinton had 'liked' an Instagram post from fan page, Wor Flags, condemning Isak's actions in recent weeks. 'Idolised and adored. No promises broken by the fans that make this club,' the post read. 'We deserve better than the destructive path you've chosen. 'Newcastle United will never be defeated.' Joelinton 'liked' a post hitting out at Isak's 'destructive' behaviour (Picture: Instagram/@worflags) Despite Isak's hardline position, Eddie Howe has repeatedly stressed that he would be prepared to welcome the attacker back into the fold as soon as he is ready to rejoin his team-mates. 'Nothing has changed. The door is well and truly open,' the Newcastle head coach said. 'He has to decide what he wants to do. We would like a resolution. We need that clarity. You don't need any kind of distraction. 'I am not in control of that. There is one person who can control that. Let's wait and see. I have made my stance clear. I am concentrating on the team.' Howe is ready to reintegrate Isak back into the squad (Picture: Getty) Asked about the chants directed at Isak from Newcastle fans, Howe replied: 'The supporters acted really well today. 'If afterwards, they want to say something, they are free to do that.' Speaking after Newcastle's goalless draw with Aston Villa, Anthony Gordon admitted the uncertainty surrounding Isak's future had contributed to a 'difficult' start to the season. More Trending 'It has been difficult because we're a tight-knit group,' the Newcastle winger said. 'But you see today, we've still got that spirit and togetherness. 'That will never go, regardless of individuals. We're still together. Things like this can make you better in the end.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Gender row boxer Imane Khelif shows off dramatic new look after more than a year without returning to ring
Khelif put out a cryptic post on the one-year anniversary of her gold medal Box office Gender row boxer Imane Khelif shows off dramatic new look after more than a year without returning to ring Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) IMANE KHELIF has shown off a dramatic new look, over a year after her last boxing match. The Algerian, 26, won her nation's first ever gold medal in women's boxing in the welterweight category at the Paris Olympics last summer. It emerged that Khelif had been banned from fighting in competitions by the International Boxing Association in 2023 after tests allegedly showed her to have DNA of a male. But the International Olympic Committee allowed her to compete in Paris because of her female passport status after replacing the Russian-led IBA, who were stripped of recognition by the IOC in a row over ethics and financial management. The controversy sparked a huge debate, with Khelif being subjected to a barrage of abuse and accusations, including from the likes of Elon Musk and JK Rowling. READ MORE IN BOXING GENDER ROW Imane Khelif breaks silence after leaked report 'proves Olympic boxer is male' Changes have come into play since then, with the new governing body, World Boxing, confirming fighters will be required to undergo mandatory sex screening to compete in their events. Khelif has not stepped into the ring since her Paris victory over Lui Yang on August 9. However, earlier this week Khelif was seen sporting a remarkable new look. On Tuesday she took a selfie alongside television host podcaster Nassima Djaffar Bey. Khelif was seen beaming in the photo, appearing with makeup and flowing hair. Djaffar Bey shared the photo to her Instagram story and captioning the post: "Always a pleasure." New Gender Testing Rule for Female Athletes at World Athletics Championships On the one-year anniversary of winning her Olympic gold, Khelif shared a cryptic Instagram post as she reflected on the "difficult phase" she was going through. Khelif said: "It was an unforgettable moment a moment where my tears mixed with the awe of pride, a moment where my country's flag soared high, and I held my head up with the strength of a boxer and the heart of a human. "Today, on the anniversary of that triumph, I'm going through a difficult phase filled with challenges, silence, and waiting… "But despite everything, the spirit that fought for gold still beats within me. I still believe that every fall is a prelude to a stronger rise, and that every delay carries within it a test of faith and willpower. "True strength lies not only in victory, but in perseverance against all odds. I am Imane Khelif a champion yesterday, resilient today, and determined to return tomorrow. "Thank you to everyone who still believes in me… And to myself, thank you for never giving up."

First video of Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson together resurfaces on social media... when she was just 21
When Bill Belichick was spotted walking around the New Orleans ' French Quarter in January 2023, local football fans were hoping he was in line to take over the struggling Saints. People paid little attention to the young woman walking alongside him in a pink top. But two-and-a-half years later, the footage appears to be the first time Belichick, now age 73, was seen with his 49-years-younger girlfriend Jordon Hudson. At the time the clip was taken, Hudson would have been just 21 years old, while Belichick would have been 70. The controversial couple appear unaware that they are being filmed in the footage that was first shared by the New Orleans travel Instagram page, New Orleans Lifestyle. 'When you randomly spot a Super Bowl winning coach and wish they were in town for a job interview,' the caption read. Exactly what the couple were there for is unclear but Belichick would have been absolved of any major football commitments at the time. His New England Patriots team had failed to reach the NFL playoffs and Belichick would go on and have just one more season as the team's head coach before departing after 24 seasons. Combining with Tom Brady, they won six Super Bowl titles together. Belichick and Hudson, meanwhile, first met on a flight from Boston to Tampa in 2021, when the NFL great was in a relationship with his now ex-girlfriend Linda Holliday. The timeline of when things with Holliday broke down and how his relationship with Hudson became romantic is unclear but Belichick's split with Holliday was confirmed in September 2022. They had been together for 16 years. Back in February, Hudson and Belichick returned to New Orleans for the Super Bowl, where they watched the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs. They attended several lavish events together leading up to football's showpiece game, while also stunning onlookers by going for a drink in an Irish bar packed with NFL fans on one night. Since then, Hudson has made a series of calamitous PR mis-steps that have caused so much scrutiny on the couple, the idea of walking down the street unnoticed is now nothing but a fantasy. The most notable self-inflicted humiliation came when Belichick gave an interview to CBS. From off-camera, Hudson interrupted to stop a visibly uncomfortable Belichick from answering a question on how they met - something CBS said happened repeatedly during the interview. Recently, two podcasters from 'The Sports Gossip Show' detailed a week of excuciating exchanges between themselves and Hudson. They were keen to have her as a guest on their show but amid a growing sense of unease from speaking to Hudson, talks ended with Belichick's girlfriend 'yelling and crying' on the phone at how they had mocked her appearing at a beauty pageant. It remains to be seen how much Hudson has curbed her appetite for center stage but for Belichick, a huge day is approaching with his first game at college level as head coach of University of North Carolina. They face TCU on Monday, September 1 - a massively anticipated game for plenty of reasons off the field after the last few months.
