FIFA Considering Biennial Club World Cup Starting 2029

Rana Atef British media reports have revealed that FIFA is studying the possibility of staging the Club World Cup every two years, beginning in 2029, a move that could further intensify the already packed international calendar. The next edition of the tournament is scheduled for 2029, following this summer's expanded 32-team event in the United States. According to The Guardian, major European clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Napoli have pushed for the competition to become a biennial event, encouraged by the significant financial rewards. Reports indicate that FIFA does not plan to hold a tournament in 2027 but is considering adding one in 2031, given that the international match calendar is locked until 2030. Among the proposals under discussion are changes to qualification rules, including raising the maximum number of clubs allowed from the same country, and a potential expansion to 48 teams, mirroring the men's World Cup format. FIFA is also exploring the possibility of scrapping the June international break to ease fixture congestion and create space for tournaments, though UEFA is opposing the idea as it clashes with the Nations League finals. Meanwhile, FIFA is set to launch a formal bidding process for host nations starting from the 2029 edition. Unlike this year's U.S. tournament, which was awarded directly, future editions will be contested through open applications. Countries such as Qatar, Spain, and Morocco have already expressed interest in staging the competition. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

Ligue 1 Opens with PSG's 1-0 Win over Mostafa Mohamed's Nantes

Rana Atef French champions Paris Saint-Germain opened the new season of Ligue 1 with a narrow 1-0 victory over Nantes, the side featuring Egyptian forward Mostafa Mohamed, on Sunday evening at La Beaujoire Stadium. The decisive moment came in the 67th minute, when Portuguese midfielder Vitinha found the net to secure all three points for PSG in their opening league fixture. The Parisian giants entered the clash riding a wave of confidence, having lifted the UEFA Super Cup for the first time in their history last Wednesday. PSG defeated Tottenham Hotspur 4-3 on penalties at Udinese's Stadio Friuli after staging a remarkable comeback from 2-0 down to draw level in dramatic fashion. That triumph marked PSG's fifth trophy of 2025, adding to their domestic treble—Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Trophée des Champions—and the UEFA Champions League, where they demolished Inter Milan 5-0 in the Munich final. Luis Enrique's side now set their sights on an even bigger milestone: the Intercontinental Cup (Club World Confederations Cup), where they will represent Europe as Champions League holders. PSG are scheduled to play the final in Doha on December 17, 2025. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

Benzema Downplays Ronaldo Rivalry before Al Ittihad-Al Nassr Showdown

Rana Atef Ittihad Jeddah star and former Real Madrid icon Karim Benzema declared Al Ittihad ready for their highly anticipated showdown with Al Nassr in the semi-final of the Saudi Super Cup, set to take place tomorrow at Hong Kong National Stadium. Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Benzema stressed that the clash should not be reduced to a personal duel with Cristiano Ronaldo, despite their long history together at Real Madrid. 'This is a match between Al Ittihad and Al Nassr, not between me and Cristiano. We were teammates before, and of course, he's a great player, but the focus now is on the team as a whole,' Benzema said. The French star also sent a message to Ittihad fans, urging them to rally behind the team: 'We need your strong support. On the pitch, we'll show you what we're capable of achieving.' Benzema sidestepped a question about whether Al Ittihad's squad had been built around him, insisting that the priority was the upcoming semi-final: 'We have an important game tomorrow. That's the only thing that matters right now.' After helping the Jeddah giants secure the Saudi Pro League and King's Cup titles last season, Benzema is now targeting further silverware. However, he admitted that facing Al Nassr, led by Ronaldo, will be one of the toughest challenges of the tournament. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
