Woman, juvenile charged after flag stolen from Walk of Heroes in Troutman
A juvenile and a woman were charged for allegedly stealing a flag from the Walk of Heroes display on the Richardson Greenway, police in Troutman said.

The juvenile is facing misdemeanor larceny. Officers have requested a juvenile petition for the suspect.
The 38-year-old woman was charged with aiding and abetting misdemeanor larceny and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Teen, adult charged in Walk of Heroes flag theft
TROUTMAN, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two suspects allegedly stole one of the flags from the Walk of Heroes display on the Richardson Greenway Sunday. The Troutman Police Department began investigating the incident and were able to identify the suspects, as well as obtain sufficient evidence to seek charges. Officers have requested a juvenile petition for a juvenile suspect on misdemeanor larceny. A warrant was also issued for Jessica Poole, 38, for the charges of aiding and abetting misdemeanor larceny and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. This warrant is pending service. May 11—A man reportedly "freaking out" and playing with a lighter, at a gas station, lit a cigarette and threatened to blow up the building. A semi transporting fuel would not do anything until the potential hazard was gone. The man extinguished the cigarette on his skin and got into a gray Chevy Blazer driven by a woman.. A man whose wallet was stolen out of his truck in Evergreen allegedly traced one of the stolen cards to a store in the mall. He called the store, and an employee described the alleged thief as a 30-year-old man with shoulder-length hair, wearing a "Rolling Stones" hat, tank top and shorts. Mall security said the man got on a bicycle and rode away. The man told the Kalispell Police Department his cards had been used at a big box store and a hardware store. Someone in a beat-up black colored BMW with no license plates allegedly swiped a gas jug from a landscaper out working and sped away. Someone reportedly drove by a man sleeping on a park sidewalk with his hoodie covering his face and started shouting at him. When he didn't respond, they called the police to check on him. He was fine and did not need assistance. A passerby called the police after reportedly seeing an elderly man speeding through town, where school children and school buses were active in the area, and thought it was dangerous. The man allegedly said he sped up to make a light but slowed down by the time he reached a residential area. He was counseled by the police. A man with bleached hair was allegedly told to leave a gas station store several times, yet he kept making unrequested encores. A greenish Mercury Sable, a gray PT Cruiser and a brownish Dodge van were reportedly abandoned in a thrift store parking lot, and an employee called police wanting to find the owners and have them moved. Officers warned another driver about speeding when they were allegedly going 35 mph in a 25 mph zone.
