G50 Corp (ASX:G50)
A Eureka moment has provided G50 Corp (ASX:G50) with a potential major gold and silver boost to its Golconda project in Arizona adding to the gallium recently identified.
High-grade results from a second RC drilling program has confirmed a new and significant gold-silver discovery and has seen shares jump 42.2% to a three-year high of 27c.
Golconda was the site of the state's largest zinc-lead mine more than 100 years ago but is now back in the spotlight due to its potential gold, silver and gallium riches.
A high-grade gallium halo identified by G50 at the flagship asset has brought the project into focus since China initiated export controls on the critical mineral back in 2023 and led to discussions over the strategic nature of the asset with the US Government.
And now returns of up to 47.2m at 2.00 g/t Au, 40.2g/t Ag and 0.29% zinc from 191m to the end of hole in the first ever drill program to target the central portion of the Tub Zone below the depth of oxidation increase G50's optimism.
The intersection also included 16.8m at 5.19g/t Au, 100.2g/t Ag and 0.57% Zn from 198m while other results were 77.7m at 0.76g/t Au and 11g/t Ag from 184m to EOH, and 97.5m at 0.27g/t Au, 4.8g/t Ag and 0.7% Zn from 149.4m at the base of historic mine workings to EOH.
Twenty-six RC holes were completed and assays have been returned for 14 holes, four of which ended in mineralisation.
Results confirm the Tub Zone is a laterally and vertically continuous, wide, well defined mineralised discovery that remains open along strike and at depth.
Phase 2 RC drilling also tested the high-priority gallium halo with all holes returning consistent shallow intercepts including 216m at 18.4g/t Ga from 4.6m, 209m at 17.7g/t from 4.6m and 204m at 21.7g/t from surface.
Every RC hole hit consistent widths and grade of gallium underpinning management's view that the halo could be a valuable source of the strategic minerals for domestic supply.
'Today's results confirm we have a new and significant gold-silver discovery at Golconda in Arizona,' G50 Corp's managing director Mark Wallace said.
Prospect Resources (ASX:PSC)
Positive results continue to emanate from Prospect Resources (ASX:PSC) at Mumbezhi in Zambia with metallurgical testwork showing that the copper project has a conventional processing profile that can be treated using low-cost methods.
High-grade copper concentrates with strong recoveries have been produced from several tested mineralised zones, meeting industry standards.
The company is also buoyed by gold indicators and a gold assessment will extend licence-wide as part of phase 2 exploration work with potential for a high-value byproduct at a time of near-record gold prices.
Progress from Zambia has resulted in shares hitting a 12-month high of 20c, an increase of 8.11% on the previous close.
Testwork on transition samples from Nyungu Central deposit and fresh samples from Kabikupa deposit provides indications that Mumbezhi can deliver strong economic returns.
Fresh composite from Kabikupa achieved a copper concentrate of 27.5% Cu and 310ppm cobalt at 95.3% Cu recovery after one cleaning stage, while fresh composite from Nyungu Central delivered a copper concentrate of 24.6% Cu and 0.9% Co at 96.2% Cu recovery after single cleaning.
Nyungu Central transition composite also returned strong results with a copper concentrate of 32.1% Cu and 9.1% Co at 81.4% Cu recovery after two cleaning stages.
The standard flotation process worked effectively for Nyungu Central and Kabikupa, supporting the use of one simple centralised processing plant.
'These results show that Mumbezhi mineralisation has a conventional processing profile, with copper ores that can be treated using simple, low-cost processing methods as implemented at both Lumwana and Sentinel mines,' managing director and CEO Sam Hosack said.
'The potential for gold at Nyungu Central also adds value, and a broader gold assessment across the licence is underway.
'Recent Nyungu Central testwork, covering fresh and transition materials, has delivered much better results than those achieved by the previous operator, Argonaut,' he added.
The test results come on the heels of additional exploration success at Nyungu Central including phase 2 drilling which returned 49m at 0.52% copper from 314m as well as 12.3m at 0.79% from 331m.
Mumbezhi, which is in northwest Zambia in proximity to several major mines in similar geological settings, hosts an indicated and inferred resource of 107.2Mt at 0.5% Cu for 514,600t of copper.
Ionic Rare Earths (ASX:IXR)
Significant support from government at various levels is being received by Ionic Rare Earths to establish a Brazilian rare earths supply chain and this is welcomed by investors with shares hitting a 12-month high of 2.1c, a 16.67% improvement on the July 16 close.
The latest show of support for Viridion Rare Earth Technologies, the 50/50 Brazilian JV of IonicRE and Viridis Mining and Minerals (ASX:VMM), comes in the grant of 2,071m2 of land by the Municipality of Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais.
This land in an industrial district will be used to construct the Centre for Rare Earth Refining, Recycling and Innovation.
Viridion is seeking funding from Brazilian federal authorities to support the centre's establishment and technical team, with definition of the funding package expected in coming weeks.
'We are extremely appreciative to the Municipality of Poços de Caldas, the state of Minas Gerais, Brazilian federal authorities and all local stakeholders for their magnificent support as we build South America's first rare earth refining, recycling and innovation centre in Minas Gerais,' IonicRE MD Tim Harrison said.
Initial phase 1 drilling is expected to begin in August at the Golden Gate target area of Resolution Minerals' Horse Heaven gold, antimony and tungsten asset in Idaho's historic Stibnite mining district.
This follows approval being granted by the US Forest Service with the upcoming program to include up to 20 drill holes for around 20,000 feet.
It is part of RML's Plan of Operations that comprises 57 holes from 19 drill sites along an existing road network in Valley County.
Several past drilling programs targeted shallow oxide gold, returning 36.6m at 1.51g/t gold and 71.6m at 1.37g/t but overlooked antimony and tungsten.
RML plans to confirm the presence of a gold resource, expand known mineralisation and potentially identify the presence of tungsten and antimony.
Shares hit a new two-year high of 6.6c, a lift of 20% on the previous close.

Resources Top 5: Critica confirms Jupiter as Australia's largest magnet rare earth clay-hosted resource
Multiple MREO zones at Jupiter contain neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and terbium Testwork identifies potential to produce gallium as a by-product at Leliyn graphite asset OD6 has produced high-quality MREC and MREH from Splinter Rock REE project Your standout small cap resources stocks for Wednesday, August 13, 2025 Critica (ASX:CRI) In what it considers to be a step-change in understanding the value potential of its flagship Jupiter rare earths project in WA, Critica has confirmed the project to be Australia's largest and highest-grade clay-hosted magnet rare earth resource. The step-change comes as magnet rare earth oxides (MREO) are critical for high-performance permanent magnets used in EVs, wind turbines, electronics, medical devices and defence systems. Although accounting for only a small fraction of total TREO content, industry commentary frequently notes that the MREOs can contribute the vast majority, in the order of 85% or more, of total basket value at prevailing market prices, making them among the most strategically sought-after rare earths globally. Investors also recognise the value creation potential of MREOs with CRI shares increasing 34% to 2c and more than 62m shares exchanged. Building on a July 2025 heavy rare earth oxide (HREO) review, Critica identified multiple higher-grade MREO zones containing neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and terbium, the four rare earths essential for the magnets. This work was based on the February 2025 resource estimate of 1.8Bt of ore at a grade of 1700ppm total rare earth oxides calculated a little over 18 months after Jupiter was discovered. At a 400ppm MREO cut-off, Jupiter contains 640 Mt at 490 ppm MREO and 2,100 ppm TREO within the broader resource. The maiden TREO resource established Jupiter as Australia's largest and highest-grade clay-hosted rare earths deposit and the MREO resource adds value, highlights Jupiter's scale and its concentration of high-value magnet REEs that support long-term demand from sectors including EVs, wind turbines, medical and defence. 'This is a turning point in the Jupiter story. The size of the resource has always been compelling, but this updated analysis confirms that Jupiter also has quality, with significant quantities of neodymium, praseodymium, terbium and dysprosium,' Critica's CEO Jacob Deysel said. 'What sets Critica apart is our approach. Rather than rushing toward an end product at all costs, we are systematically and innovatively advancing our metallurgical plan. 'We are applying a smarter, more targeted strategy, starting with a beneficiation stage that has upgraded high-value REEs into a small-volume stream while rejecting ~95% of the mined mineralised mass. 'This approach has the potential to deliver a significant advantage compared to projects requiring full-volume leaching. By removing this stream early, we are improving our pathway to more efficient processing and potential economic benefits, reducing the volume of material requiring chemical processing.' Kingsland Minerals (ASX:KNG) A testwork breakthrough has identified the potential to produce high-value gallium as a by-product from Kingsland Minerals Leliyn asset, Australia's largest graphite deposit, and resulted in shares reaching 15c, an improvement of 15.4% on the previous close. Mineralogical testing has established muscovite mica as the principal host of gallium within the Leliyn graphitic schist, with biotite mica a secondary host. This work has been verified by CSIRO analysis. Kingsland Minerals managing director Richard Maddocks said this marked an important development in the company's strategy to unlock value at Leliyn. 'Now we know what mineral hosts the gallium, we can work towards producing a gallium concentrate,' he said. 'It is anticipated that once a gallium concentrate is produced, additional work will assess the viability of extracting gallium and/or gallium compounds from the concentrate. 'It should be noted that gallium production will not be considered in the Leliyn scoping study due for release later in the September quarter,' he added. Kingsland has already completed an exploration target for gallium at Leliyn and plans to publish a maiden gallium JORC resource later in 2025. Gallium is a soft metal with a melting point near room temperature (30°C) and is a critical component in semiconductors, optical-electronic devices, solar panels and several military applications. Classified as a critical mineral in Europe, America and Australia, its market is projected to grow from US$2.45b in 2024 to US$21.53b by 2034. It isn't mined as a primary ore but is typically produced as a by-product of bauxite and zinc cores. OD6 Metals (ASX:OD6) OD6 Metals has produced high-quality mixed rare earth carbonate (MREC) and mixed rare earth hydroxide (MREH) from Splinter Rock REE project in WA and reached a 6-month high of 5.9c, a lift of 68.6% on the previous close. What makes the results more significant were the low impurities and high payability potential. The results were from heap leach liquor via metallurgical testing conducted by the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO). MREC of ~56% TREO was produced via a simplified and scalable heap leach and impurity removal process flowsheet while MREH of ~59% TREO was also produced utilising the same process but using sodium hydroxide (NaOH) to precipitate the saleable product. 'This is a significant milestone for OD6 and reinforces Splinter Rock's potential to become a competitive and scalable producer of high-value rare earth products,' MD Brett Hazelden said. 'Our innovative processing pathway – using a combination of nanofiltration, ion exchange and impurity control - has enabled us to produce a high-quality, low-impurity MREC and MREH product that meets or exceeds global benchmarks.' Bayan Mining and Minerals (ASX:BMM) As progress is made at the US projects of Bayan Mining and Minerals the company reached a 12-month high of 13c, a 51.2% increase on the previous close. Comprehensive exploration is progressing at Desert Star project in a prospective REE corridor in California's Mojave Desert. A total of 65 rock chip samples and 30 heavy minerals concentrate samples were submitted to ALS Laboratory in Reno for REE and multi-element analysis as well as gold fire assays with results expected shortly. At Desert Star North exploration is advancing 3km north of the 1.1Moz Colosseum gold mine. The claims are also along the same regional corridor as the Mountain Pass REE mine. Twenty one rock chip samples and 46 heavy mineral concentrate samples were also submitted to ALS with results expected in September. A desktop review of existing geophysical datasets from both projects is underway, leveraging high-resolution airborne magnetic, gravity and radiometric data along with satellite imagery to refine targets. At Bayan Springs South project in Nevada a second phase of fieldwork was completed and assays are anticipated within two weeks. Lion Energy (ASX:LIO) While there was minimal work on Lion Energy Port of Brisbane Green Hydrogen joint venture in the June quarter as a joint development strategy is refined, progress was made at the oil and gas operations in Indonesia. At the hydrogen project the JV received initial EPC cost estimates and continues to develop a strategy to optimise project costs. Hydrogen offtake discussions remain contingent on short-listing an EPC contractor and finalising development-cost assumptions. In Indonesia, production continued at Seram PSC in which Lion holds 2.5%. Gross quarterly production totalled 70,883 bbls of crude oil with Lion's share being 1,772 bbls. LIO also continued engagement on an East Seram PSC farm-in to secure funding for drilling Bula Karang prospect which is scheduled for Q2 of 2026. 'In the East Seram PSC, we continued to progress the high-graded Bula Karang prospect, which we view as a significant play opener,' chairman Tom Soulsby said. 'Across the hydrogen JV, our focus remains squarely on optimising development costs through rigorous EPC cost and risk management.'

Big copper target lurking for Southern Hemisphere, FMR
Southern Hemisphere Mining and JV partner FMR Resources say that reprocessed geophysics at their Llahuin's Curiosity–Southern porphyry at the Llahuin Copper‑gold‑moly project in Chile might have a copper tiger by the tail. The JV partners say the reprocessed geophysical reinterpretation blending MT, IP, and magnetic survey data with field mapping and historic drill-logging is showing all the potential hallmarks of a big copper porphyry target lurking at depth. The latest geophysical advancement builds on Southern Hemisphere and FMR's recent resource uplift to 218 Mt at 0.38 per cent copper equivalent, containing approximately 496,600 tonnes of copper, 654,000 ounces of gold, and 12,500 tonnes of molybdenum. That figure is backed up by a further 260–340 million tonne exploration target across the Llahuin domain. Llahuin sits in Chile's copper heartland of Coquimbo, roughly 350km north of Santiago with power, roads, and logistics already in play. Southern Hemisphere's field teams, together with FMR, flagged argillic alteration, silicification, quartz veining, and oxide-after-sulphide textures at surface, all hallmarks of a porphyry system right above the newly mapped geophysical footprint. The newly-modelled 3D inversion highlights a low-resistivity anomaly plunging more than 1,400m below the surface and extending laterally over 1 km, more textbook red flags for porphyry architecture. Chairman Mark Stowell called the geometry 'textbook' and likened it to the famous Valeriano deposit, signalling both technical pedigree and scale. To sharpen targeting, Southern Hemisphere is revisiting historic drill data: a standout intercept, for example, included 164m at 0.16 per cent copper equivalent from near surface and deeper, far richer grade hits like 2m at 1.45 per cent copper equivalent from around 168m. The staged data layers now feed into a tight targeting model ahead of deep drilling. Under the terms of the JV framework with Southern Hemisphere, FMR can earn up to 60 per cent of the southern concessions, funding exploration that's pegged to include a minimum 1,400m deep hole into Curiosity. A$2.2 million capital raise and support from heavy-hitter Mark Creasy has lent weight to the joint venture push. The next stage for the JV partners is to test the new geophysical theories with the rotary truth diviner which is expected to happen soon – watch this space.
