The plot of Single follows the life of a forlorn man named Vijay, who is simply tired of his status as a bachelor. As he searches for someone special and ends his single status, he meets and falls in love with Purva.
Meanwhile, another woman named Harini secretly harbors romantic feelings for Vijay, which he is unaware of. The climax arrives when Purva gets to know about Vijay's feelings for her, and he, too, learns about Harini's love for him.

The complaint was registered against her after an alleged incident took place on May 29 at Prism Pub, where she reportedly created a scene following a disagreement with the staff. According to the pub management, the issue began when Kalpika attempted to bring a birthday cake from another shop into the premises of the restaurant, which is not permitted by the outlet. After she was denied, she allegedly started throwing plates, damaged hotel property, body-shamed staff members, and used offensive language as per an India Today report. In a video shared by her on her Instagram account, she was seen arguing with the staff and refused to pay her bill. Another video on social media also saw the actress engaged in a heated exchange with pub employees. Even when the police arrived at the location, they were unable to bring the situation under control. According to the complaint, the management claimed that Kalpika continued to create a ruckus despite the police's presence.
