Jessie J Shares the ‘Honest Lows and Highs' After Undergoing Breast Cancer Surgery
In one slide of Jessie J's recent 16-part photo dump on Instagram, the singer watched back a clip from her performance at Capital's Summertime Ball. On stage at Wembley Stadium in London, she told the audience, 'This show is my last show before I go and beat breast cancer.' Revisiting the moment from her hospital bed, she joked, 'Look a bit different, innit?' Jessie is recovering at home from surgery now, but wanted to share a glimpse into her battle with the diagnosis she revealed earlier this month.
'This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours,' she wrote in the post caption. 'I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through. Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit. I am home now, to rest and wait for my results. Chanan is in a nurse outfit. No no, he isn't, but funny to imagine. Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this!'

The carousel of images and videos Jessie shared captured sweet moments with her son and her partner Chanan Safir Colman, as well as more emotional instances. In one, she cries at the thought of imagining hearing her son say he loves her and not being able to say it back. In another, she explains the tubing system that drains blood and fluid from her breasts to him.
The post-surgery recovery period will allow Jessie to truly slow down and process the moment. When she revealed her diagnosis, she mentioned that she was 'not processing it because I'm working so hard.' In a separate post shared earlier this month, she looked back on a live performance before which she had undergone several breast biopsies in private. 'I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories,' she said. 'I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse, that's the bit that kills me.'

Located in the town of Tickhill near Doncaster, it is set in more than 5,000 square feet with three bathrooms, four reception rooms and a large garden. Called a 'famous home' by the property website, its current starting price is £1,475,000. 'You don't want to live like a nun' Helen Mirren issues life advice to younger generation
Dame Helen Mirren has advised the younger generation to avoid smoking, but insisted they shouldn't "live like a nun" either. The 79-year-old actress is gearing up for her 80th birthday next month, and while she is against smoking, she also encouraged the youth of today to "do everything, but don't do too much of anything". When issuing advice to youngsters, she told Grazia magazine: "Don't smoke, that's rule number one and do everything, but don't do too much of anything - that's a great way of looking at things, because it's important to take care of your health, but you also don't want to live like a nun." The MobLand star has been a household name for years, but she is still pleasantly surprised when someone approaches her to tell her she is "great". She said: "It always surprises me when someone comes up to me in a supermarket or an airport and says that they think I'm great, but it's lovely. "This sort of thing is fun, it's fabulous, it's fantastic. It doesn't feel right to say that I'm proud of being a role model to people, but it's a great feeling." Helen admitted one of her luxuries in life is buying make-up and then heading home to spend "hours" applying her new purchases. But the star doesn't like it when her favourite products are discontinued. She added: "My idea of a treat is going into a drugstore and buying myself another lip liner. "I sit at my little desk at home and can spend hours putting my make-up on, it's something I've always loved to do. "It's not that I don't like trying new products, the innovation is amazing, but it's heart-breaking when you hit on a foundation or a mascara that you love - the golden chalice - only to find out a few years later that it has been discontinued."

The best Glastonbury 2025 photos as 200,000 fans descend on Worthy Farm
The gates to Glastonbury Festival opened on Wednesday morning, kicking off day one of the 2025 celebration. The festival will last from Wednesday June 25 - Sunday June 29, hosted in the Somerset countryside. With over 200,000 people attending this year, the cow-farm venue has been transformed into a hot spot filled with an array of colourful camping tents, stages and arts and festivalgoers from all over the world. The event is said to be the most popular UK festival and one of the biggest festivals in the world, with some tickets selling out in under 40 minutes for £378.50. The festival's co-founder Sir Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily, who also co-organises the festival, kicked off the countdown as they prepared to open the gates for this year's event. This year, the main headlining acts are The 1975, performing on Friday, Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts on Saturday, and on Sunday, US artist Olivia Rodrigo, who will become the second youngest headliner ever at the festival. The three will perform on the main Pyramid Stage, with other artists including Raye, Biffy Clyro and Sir Rod Stewart also set to perform there over the weekend. According to forecasters, the weather this year is expected to be warm for the most part, with temperatures between 20C to 25C. Some rain is expected on Thursday, but considering Glastonbury's rainstorm history, festivalgoers are expected to be in luck this year weather-wise.
