The programme was started in November 2024 and so far 75,181 CISF personnel and their family members have utilised its services. The psychometric assessments of over 31,000 personnel for early identification in case of potential issues have been done so far. The initiative has resulted in counselling and interventions in the case of depression, marital discord, and financial stress, it said.
Suicide rate of CISF personnel has declined below the national average during the year 2024 and 2025, which showed effectiveness of the programme, the release claimed.
The ABET has trained 1,726 CISF officers and sub-officers to identify and manage low-risk mental health issues and escalate serious cases to professionals. This two-tiered structure has made psychological support more accessible at the grassroots level, the release stated.

Mohali (Punjab) [India], August 9 (ANI): The CISF on Saturday said that its Project Mann has extended crucial psychological support to more than 75,000 personnel and their programme, launched through an MoU signed in November 2024, in collaboration with the Aditya Birla Education Trust's mental health initiative 'Mpower', was jointly reviewed today by CISF Director General RS Bhatti, Indian Police Service (IPS), and Aditya Birla Education Trust (ABET) Chairperson Neerja Bhatti lauded the role of mental health professionals from ABET in building awareness, providing counselling, delivering clinical interventions, and training CISF staff to handle psychological challenges. So far, 1,726 CISF officers and sub-officers have been trained to recognise and manage low-risk mental health concerns while ensuring serious cases are referred to professionals. This two-tier system has significantly improved access to mental health assistance at the grassroots high-security units such as IGI Airport, Parliament, and Delhi Metro, psychometric assessments have been conducted for over 31,000 personnel, enabling early detection of potential mental health issues. Interventions have addressed cases of depression, marital discord, financial stress, and other personal challenges. As a result, the CISF suicide rate has dropped below the national average in 2024 and 2025, reflecting the initiative's its success, both DG Bhatti and Mrs Birla have committed to continuing the programme in the coming years. Emphasising the importance of mental health, DG Bhatti remarked, 'Mental health is as mission-critical as physical fitness for our personnel. This initiative strengthens our internal support systems and ensures that our personnel remain emotionally resilient, focused, and operationally ready."Neerja Birla highlighted the broader achievement of institutionalising mental health within the force, noting, 'Over the past three years, Project Mann has supported more than 75,000 personnel through psychometric screening, counselling, peer engagement, and a 24×7 helpline across CISF units nationwide. Madras High Court conducts health camp for its staff
The Madras High Court, in association with the Tamil Nadu government, on Thursday (August 7, 2025), conducted a mega health camp for its staff with doctors from various specialities in allopathy, ayurveda, unani, siddha and homeopathy systems of medicine screening them. The camp was conducted by first collecting blood samples of the court staff members between July 28 and 31, 2025 and then organising a consultation with the doctors inside the High Court campus on Wednesday (August 6) and Thursday (August 7). Consultations were held with experts in cardiology, diabetology, general surgery, neurology, nephrology, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, psychiatry, pulmonology, urology, radiology, dermatology, general medicine, dentistry and physiotherapy among other specialities. The health camp was open to the court staff as well as the police personnel deployed for security in the court premises, the personal security officers of the judges and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel who guard the High Court buildings. According to the State health department, 1,267 consultations were held with the specialists and 901 master health check ups were conducted on Wednesday alone. The number had risen considerably on the second day of the camp. The camp also offered medical investigations such as electrocardiogram (ECG), echocardiogram (ECHO), Ultrasound Sonography (USG), X-ray, pulmonary function test (PFT) and optometry. Justice P.T. Asha oversaw the arrangements and encouraged participation of the staff. The Madras High Court Officers and Staff Association office-bearers thanked the judge, Additional Advocate General J. Ravindran, Health Secretary P. Senthil Kumar, the government doctors, paramedical staff and all others who conducted the health camp for the benefit of the court staff.
