A Malaysian man has recently taken netizens by surprise after sharing that he rakes in RM6,000 to RM9,000 a month as an e-hailing driver.
Posting in the Facebook group 'grab&Mycar司机乘客中文交流区', the 25-year-old revealed that he drives his Honda Civic for 14 hours a day.
'I'm 25-years-old and I drive a Honda Civic doing jobs on another platform. My monthly net income can reach RM6,000–RM9,000 (after deducting the platform's commission),' he said.
He explained that the perks of being an e-hailing driver are more flexible hours and the freedom of not having to take orders from anyone like an office worker.

'This line of work basically requires putting in more hours, but it's more flexible — you don't have to take orders from anyone like an office worker.'
He also assured netizens that his Honda Civic's mileage has already reached 300,000km but has not needed any major repairs — just regular servicing.
'Don't listen to those old uncles who keep saying things like 'repair costs' — as long as you drive properly, there's not much to fix,' he wrote.
The man shared that he's always happy as this job allows him to converse with passengers, enjoy the scenery, and most importantly, have freedom.

He added that the key is knowing how to save money and take care of one's health.
'For those thinking about joining, don't be afraid — don't believe the nonsense from other drivers. Try it yourself and you won't regret it.
'If you work a regular job for 10 years, your salary will still be the same few thousand ringgit. Life is short, freedom is the most important thing.'

80 per cent road accidents caused by careless drivers, not poor road conditions

Road users must realise their actions don't just endanger themselves, but everyone else on the road. Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi with Sinar Daily Editor Tasnim Lokman during Sinar Daily's podcast entitled 'Billions Spent but Are Our Roads Any Safer?'. - Photo: FACEBOOK / ALEXANDER NANTHA LINGGI SHAH ALAM – Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi has urged Malaysians to take greater responsibility behind the wheel, revealing that over 80 per cent of road accidents in the country are caused by driver negligence rather than poor road conditions or weather. Citing data from the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (Miros), Nanta said Malaysia recorded about 500,000 road accidents each year, with around 12,000 cases involving serious injuries or fatalities. Of the roughly 6,000 annual road deaths, around 4,000 involved motorcyclists, he added. 'These figures are high and people often ask if it's because of the road conditions. The fact is, Miros studies show slightly more than 80 per cent of accidents are due to the carelessness of drivers themselves. "Only 13 per cent are linked to road conditions or weather, such as slippery roads from heavy rain," he said during Sinar Daily's podcast entitled 'Billions Spent but Are Our Roads Any Safer?'. He stressed that many accidents could have been avoided if road users adhered to traffic laws, especially speed limits that were set scientifically to suit road conditions. 'If the maximum speed limit is 60 km/h, it's there for a reason. Exceeding it might still be safe to a point, but your control over the vehicle decreases, especially on roads with turns or downhill stretches,' he explained. Nanta also warned against the growing trend of drivers using mobile phones while driving, calling it extremely irresponsible. "You might think replying to a WhatsApp message is harmless, but if you hit someone and they die, you'll carry that guilt for life. "Our road users must realise their actions don't just endanger themselves, but everyone else on the road," he said. More Like This

Guy interviews a purported transgender about her preference in male and the answer is hilarious

ANY man looking to score a lady would want to take pointers from the horse's mouth. After all, an average lady should know the needs of the woman folk, or would she? Recently, a man was seen in a video interviewing a lady nearby the night club. And the question? He wanted to know her preference in men. But the internet was quick to point out that the lady in the video might not be a lady after all. This is going to be an interesting interview and we are not disappointed. The video can be found at: According to the 'lady,' fat and short guys without hair are at the bottom of her list. Sorry to all those fat, short and hairless guys out there. Also, the 'lady,' who called herself Puteri said she is into rich guys who drove Honda, and she dislikes going to the mamak shops to hang out. 'But there are a lot of Malay men who drove Perodua,' she said. Puteri is certainly a lady with good taste. But netizen @faizfayeshz pointed out that Honda drivers aren't in the rich category. Perhaps dear Puteri should go for the fast and furious men out there who drove Ferrari, Lamborghini and whatever sports car out there that costs the average Malaysian a lifetime of work to own. 'She has the eyebrows of a viper and she doesn't want to hang out at the Mamak?' said an incredulous @syhmienajmie. The storm of criticism continues but we doubt Puteri can hear it over the shrill noises she is making. 'Her make up is terrible,' said @JatIkhwan while @tikarberantai suggested they check her identification card to make sure her religion is not the wrong one. Then there was @MeRep2p1 with the hard hitting remark that her forehead was wide enough for an aeroplane to land on. Regardless of all the hate, it is commendable that Puteri is being very frank about what she likes and dislikes. After all, she was being asked a question and honesty in a dishonest world is noteworthy. —Aug 15, 2025 Main image: @bckupacc99 (X)
