Flydubai to Retrofit 21 737 Max Aircraft

Gulf Insider11-04-2025

At the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), Dubai-based airline flydubai and Boeing announced a deal to retrofit 21 of flydubai's 737 MAX aircraft with larger Boeing Space Bins.
The new Space Bins can hold up to six standard-sized bags per bin by positioning the bags on their edge, compared to the previous standard of four bags per bin.
'Since commencing operations in 2009, we have remained dedicated to investing in product innovation and elevating our passengers' inflight experience. By having Boeing's larger Space Bins on our 737 MAX aircraft, this will provide our passengers with added convenience and increased storage space that rivals the experience offered on a wide-body aircraft,' Daniel Kerrison, Senior Vice President of Inflight Operations at flydubai said.
flydubai operates a fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, 59 of which are 737 MAX. The airline serves a growing network of more than 130 destinations in 55 countries, including regions such as Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and South-East Europe, the GCC, the Middle East, South Asia, and South-East Asia.
'Passengers are making the connection between bin capacity and the extra room they need and expect for their carry-on bags. We are proud to partner with flydubai to bring Space Bins capability to their existing 737 MAX fleet,' Doug Backhus, Vice President of Cabin, Modifications and Maintenance at Boeing said.

DLD achieves key milestone with tokenised real estate sell-out

Dubai Land Department (DLD) has announced that its second tokenised project on the 'Prypco Mint' platform was fully funded in a record-breaking one minute and 58 seconds, attracting 149 investors from 35 nationalities. This unprecedented demand pushed the waiting list to over 10,700 investors, reflecting rising confidence and strong interest in digital real estate ownership solutions across the emirate, said DLD in a statement. By enabling investors to purchase shares in ready properties through seamless and cost-effective mechanisms, Prypco Mint is setting new standards for market accessibility. As the platform expands its projects and partnerships, it is helping to shape a future where tokenised assets are expected to become a central part of Dubai's property market by 2033, it stated. Amid this momentum, DLD has called upon interested individuals to register early and set up their accounts to take advantage of upcoming offerings before they get sold out. This ongoing success underscores the effectiveness of the platform, which is officially accredited under DLD's Property Tokenisation Initiative, it added.

H&H expands Eden House brand with new Dubai project

H&H, one of the pioneers in Dubai's real estate market with bespoke turnkey developments, is expanding its flagship Eden House brand with the launch of its new project in DIFC. Conceptualised by DXB Lab and Tristan Auer, the Eden House Za'abeel project represents a pivotal new phase in the brand's growth strategy, and demonstrates its commitment to exceptional design and craftsmanship. The latest launch highlights the Eden House portfolio's expansion and resounding success in Dubai's upscale real estate market, particularly within the highly popular DIFC district's limited residential offerings, said the statement from H&H. The project features a curated collection of high-end apartments, consisting of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, along with a limited number of penthouses featuring spacious layouts, exquisite finishes, and a wrap-around balcony. The development prioritises wellness and comfort with its diverse range of wellness amenities, such as a wellness courtyard, indoor wellness lounge, fitness facility, movement studio, spa suite with a sauna and steam room. Additionally, the project promotes a sense of community with its residents' lounge, multiple courtyards, food and beverage venues, café, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, and a business suite, among other offerings and amenities, it stated. Speaking on the occasion, CEO Miltos Bosinis said: "The launch of Eden House Za'abeel in DIFC reflects our commitment to excellence through exceptional design and meticulous craftsmanship. Our latest addition to the Eden House portfolio, located between Za'abeel and DIFC, is an extension of the brand's growing property portfolio in Dubai. With easy access to global financial institutions, fine dining, retail outlets, and other cultural attractions, the project functions as an integral hub for the local community." "We also commend the shared vision of DXB Lab and Tristan Auer, whose collaboration refined the structure into an ideal setting that offers residents a serene and sophisticated living experience," he added. Centrally located in the DIFC district, the development's main entrance on the Za'abeel side ensures easy access while offering a unique setting that prioritises serenity, privacy, and a welcome escape from the city's bustle. This project reflects the DNA of Eden House, seamlessly blending with the vibrance of DIFC to create a living environment that is both tranquil and dynamic for its residents, said the developer. According to Bosinis, the design develops with elegant, curvilinear gestures that blend in with the surroundings, taking inspiration from the site's native Ghaf groves, which became part of the landscape scheme of this development. This is reflected in the carefully considered design elements - from the textured concrete façade and cascading greenery to the rhythmic grid of balconies with elegantly curved handrails - all contributing to a striking balance between urban sophistication and simplicity.
