Pacers unveil special concession foods for remaining home Finals games
Exciting things are happening at Gainbridge Fieldhouse these days.
The Indiana Pacers are competing for their first NBA championship in franchise history, sure, but perhaps just as importantly, spectators at Gainbridge Fieldhouse can chow down on some special concession items to mark the historic occasion.
The Pacers and food partner Levy Restaurants on June 12 unveiled six special dishes that will be available at Game 4 of the NBA Finals versus the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday (and, if necessary, Game 6 on June 19).
Levy Restaurants executive chef Charles Humphreys said the limited-edition concessions will only be available for the Pacers' remaining Finals home games. A taste of these stadium bites essentially requires one of the city's priciest passes, with Game 4 tickets fetching around $850 to $3,000 on Ticketmaster.
These are the special concessions items to look out for if you manage to snag an in-person view of the Pacers' title push and have some discretionary income remaining.
The Boomer Stacker
This monument to the meat and dairy industries features two smashed hamburger patties, a small fried pork tenderloin, double sharp cheddar cheese, bacon strips, fried onions and a drizzle of barbecue ranch.
Indiana Porkster
If you didn't know Indiana is one of the nation's biggest pork producers, this behemoth on a bun should erase any doubt. Pig appears in four different forms on the Indiana Porkster, piling a fried tenderloin atop bratwurst simmered in Sun King Osiris Pale Ale, thick-cut bacon and a bacon onion jam, plus a drizzle of whole grain mustard.
Ahi tuna poke nachos
Humphreys' personal favorite dish features nacho-shaped wontons, truffle Sriracha aioli, green onion and toasted sesame seed with soft cubes of raw ahi tuna.
Three Point Combo Play
A foot-long garlic butter toasted baguette is topped with chicken parmesan, meatballs, Provolone cheese and pomodoro, plus Italian beef and provolone cheese.
Bone-in short rib sandwich
Short rib smoked for 10 hours receives a sweet barbecue glaze, bread and butter pickles and apple cider vinegar slaw. Notably, despite the sandwich's name, the bone is removed before being served.
Pork belly and cheese curd link
Smoking Goose pork belly and white cheese enveloped in a snapping casing join caramelized onion and spicy brown mustard atop a toasted brioche hot dog bun.

Pascal Siakam details feelings after Game 2 loss
Pascal Siakam details feelings after Game 2 loss originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Pacers, after a shocking comeback in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, got shown why the Oklahoma City Thunder are the best team in the NBA during Sunday's Game 2 of the series. Advertisement The Thunder won, 123-107, and led for all of the second, third, and fourth quarters. The Pacers barely lost the turnover battle, although the Thunder were able to push the pace, score in transition, and get second-chance points. All in all, it looked like OKC beat the Pacers at their own game. However, by taking Game 1, the Pacers will return home to Indiana with the series tied and with a clear advantage in Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Pascal Siakam, despite the advantage, demands that he and his team win every game. "I mean, I think you want to win every game you play," he stated clearly. "So we're not happy with how the game went today, and that's it. We just got to turn the page, focus on Game 3. That's the biggest game of the year." Advertisement Since both the Pacers and Thunder play in smaller markets, their fan bases are more rabid and loyal than those of bigger market teams, and Siakam expects the Indiana loyal to make a hostile environment for the Thunder. "Our fans, obviously, I know they're super excited to have us," he said. "And we're excited to be back in our home arena with our home fans and just ready to compete, play hard. That's our focus." Game 3 tips off on Wednesday evening, and the Pacers are 6-2 at home in the postseason. Siakam is right: the game will be the biggest one of their season so far, and perhaps the biggest Pacers' game since 2000. Haliburton compared to Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning
Haliburton compared to Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning originally appeared on Athlon Sports. From 1999 to 2018, with a few exceptions, the Indianapolis Colts were one of the most consistent teams in the NFL. Between Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck, the Colts had a steady hand at quarterback and made the playoffs 16 times under those gunslingers. Advertisement They made two Super Bowls, winning one, while the Indiana Pacers, for the most part, fell short to LeBron James or the Boston Celtics during the same span. However, as Anthony Richardson struggles to stay healthy, the Colts have taken a step back, and with Tyrese Haliburton leading the way, the Pacers have stepped up as the best team in the state. With Caitlin Clark leading the Indiana Fever, Indiana is once again basketball country. After the Pacers made their first Finals since 2000, Myles Turner took a moment to compare Haliburton to some all-time great Indiana athletes. "It's all happened so fast, but he's done a great job of composing himself and showing up when it matters the most," Turner said on Saturday. "So yeah, when you want to say he's the Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck of the city, it makes sense. He's the head of the snake." Advertisement Haliburton has received his fair share of criticism, especially after getting off to a slow start this season, although he has certainly bounced back in the playoffs, hitting five go-ahead or game-winning shots in the postseason. 'I'm just proud of the way he's handled everything," Turner continued. The Pacers stole Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder before losing Game 2, but will head back home to Indiana with the series evened up. Game 3 will tip off on Wednesday. Jay-Z bet $1,000,000 against Indiana Pacers
Jay-Z bet $1,000,000 against Indiana Pacers originally appeared on Athlon Sports. As sports betting sweeps the nation, celebrities and streamers have gotten in on the action, often wagering hundreds of thousands of dollars as an entertainment stunt. Advertisement With the sporting world tuned in to the NBA Finals, the Oklahoma City Thunder were massive favorites, although the Indiana Pacers have taken a 2-1 lead in the series and will look to run away with the series on Friday night in front of their home fans. Drake is usually the highest-profile celebrity associated with reckless bets, although Jay-Z, an avid Brooklyn Nets fan, is no stranger to the gambling scene. He bet $1 million on the Thunder to win the series in five games at +230 odds. His bet would have hit for $3.3 million, although the Pacers prevented that from happening in just the third game of the series. The Thunder opened the series with -700 odds to win the Finals, and those odds have since shifted to -230, with the Pacers having +190 odds to win. If Hova bet another million on the Pacers to win the series, he would take home $1.9 million in winnings, although the series is far from over. Advertisement The -700 odds the Thunder had to open the series were the exact same as the Los Angeles Lakers had in 2004, when Ben Wallace and the Detroit Pistons shocked them in five games. The Pacers are hoping to be on the same level in terms of legendary upsets, and after taking two early wins in the series, it's easy to envision them hoisting the trophy.
