The Tan-Luxe tanning drops are secretly a double threat. First, it's a self-tanner (duh). Second? It's also a serum. The formula is full of skin-loving ingredients like aloe, vitamin E, raspberry seed oil and caffeine to nourish, firm and tone your skin. This way, your skin is both glowy and healthy.
According to both Ripa and the brand, the drops are super easy to use. "You put [the drops] in your moisturizer, and then you put it on, and your tan develops gradually," she said of this liquid gold. She adds, "They're kind of remarkable." The result? A natural, streak-free tan. You can customize your tan by adjusting the number of drops you use.
It's not just Ripa who credits Tan-Luxe for her glow — over 4,000 Amazon shoppers have given the tanning drops a perfect five-star review.

Another luminous fan wrote: "This stuff is amazing. Yes, a bit expensive, but WORTH IT. It lasts forever. My favorite thing is how natural it looks. I'll add five drops into my facial moisturizer, mix it up, put it on my face and leave it be overnight. The next day my whole face is tanned and yet somehow, it blends seamlessly into my chest without using any tanner there! NO streaks at all."
"I've used other tanning drops that broke me out on the face, but these have been great," said a final bronzed beauty. "I've had no breakouts or issues from them, using it for two years now. I have a fairly light skin tone, so using about two drops in my lotion usually works well for me. Doesn't leave an orange cast and looks really natural!"
Amazon shoppers are generally fans of the tanning drops, but one four-star reviewer took issue with the smell. "I really don't like the smell but I have a very sensitive nose," they explained. "It's weird. It only lasts for about 12 hours and then goes away. So I can put up with it." For what it's worth, the reviewer also noted that "most people don't seem to notice it."
Before diving in though, heed this warning from Ripa: Do not go all-in. After using a handful of Tan-Luxe's other products with the drops, she found that more was certainly not better. "If you start putting on all these things at once, you can develop tans on parts of your body more so than other parts," she shared. "If you look at me without the makeup on, in a certain light, I kind of look like a Rorschach test," Ripa joked.
