Reba McEntire has a surprising connection to the late Brandon Blackstock.
The singer, 70, was married to Blackstock's dad, Narvel, 68, from 1989 to 2015.
The exes share one son, race car driver Shelby.

In March, McEntire and Blackstock got together, along with his daughter Savannah, who's in her 20s, her husband and kids, and stepbrother Shelby, 35, and other relatives.
'Family time, the @rodeohouston, & corn dogs! We had a blast in Houston watching @rissablackstock experience her first rodeo & being able to spend cherished time with family! Mom's concert was the icing on the cake!' the race car driver captioned his Instagram post.

After her first divorce from wrestling champion Charlie Battles in 1979, McEntire struck up a romance with Narvel, who was her tour manager. The two co-founded Starstruck Entertainment in 1988 and married soon after.

McEntire and Narvel announced their separation after 26 years of marriage in a statement shared on her website in 2015.
'Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other,' the message read. 'They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so. They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time.'

Narvel ended up with a whopping $47.5 million divorce settlement, while McEntire got total control of the management of her career, according to Us Weekly.

During a 2024 appearance on 'The Drew Barrymore Show,' McEntire revealed her relationship with her ex was anything but romantic.
'It was a situation that was always business,' she confessed. 'Whether we were getting ready in the morning, pillow talk, whatever, but it was business.'
Blackstock, meanwhile, was married to Kelly Clarkson from 2013 to 2022. They share kids River, 11, and Remy, 9. Narvel was originally the singer's manager, but Blackstock took over after they tied the knot.

In 2018, three years after McEntire and Narvel split, she shared where she stood with her stepson's kids.
'I don't ever see the grandkids,' the actress admitted during an interview with People. 'It was a lot better when everybody was not so busy, but I've got seven grandchildren, so they're scattered all over the country and busy doing stuff. But I love them.'

Two years later, McEntire, who found love again in 2020 with actor Rex Linn, weighed in on Clarkson, 43, filing for divorce from Blackstock in 2020.

The 'I'm a Survivor' artist revealed that her own split from Narvel never changed her relationship with the late star.
'Brandon's been my son forever, it seems,' she told Entertainment Tonight at the time. 'Although he's my stepson, I still love him like he's my total — my blood, so I'm praying for them both because I love them both.'

In December 2023, McEntire shared that her happiness stems from all members of her family.
'I'm at a really good place in my life,' she gushed to People. 'I'm happy, I'm in love. My kids are all healthy. My family's healthy. So I'm happy.'

In 2019, the 'You Lie' songstress came on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show,' where Clarkson told her, 'I ended up marrying your oldest son and you got stuck with me more.'
McEntire sweetly responded, 'Thank goodness, thank goodness.'
Then, in 2023, they both appeared on Season 23 of 'The Voice.' McEntire served as a mega mentor alongside Clarkson, who was a judge.

Meanwhile, in June 2023, Clarkson appeared on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen' and confirmed McEntire's sentiment.
'We were friends before [Brandon and I] even got together. I think we're both women of sound mind that know that life doesn't work out sometimes. I mean, well, she would know best,' she teased. 'It's literally the same thing. So, yeah, no hard feelings there, just feelings.'
When it came to her relationship with Blackstock, things were more complicated.

In November 2020, Clarkson was awarded temporary primary physical custody of River and Remy.
According to court documents, 'the level of conflict between the parents [had] increased' and that they had 'a difficult time co-parenting due to issues of trust between them.'
A month later, Clarkson alleged that Blackstock acted fraudulently as her manager. He denied defrauding his estranged wife out of millions.

In March 2022, a judge approved the exes' divorce settlement, granting Blackstock $115,000 each month in spousal support until January 2024. The talent manager also received a monthly amount of $45,600 in child support.
The mom-of-two also said to Entertainment Tonight that the 'thing that's been kind of hard to navigate is I am an open book, but at some point I'm a mama bear more than I am a person in the public eye.'
Clarkson added, 'So I care 100% more about my children than I do anything else on this planet.'

'The Kelly Clarkson Show' eventually relocated from Los Angeles to New York City in 2023, with the host bringing her children with her.
'The move to NYC was a fresh start for her that she has never regretted,' an insider told People in 2024. 'She had not been happy in Los Angeles for a while but was still nervous about moving. It was the best decision for her though. They thrive as a family.'
Blackstock, meanwhile, resided in Butte, Mont., after moving out of the family's original Montana ranch.
On Thursday, news of Blackstock's passing broke, with sources telling TMZ he had melanoma, a serious form of skin cancer.

Is NYC's infamous Limelight club facing a new future?

Huge for-sale and for-lease signs have appeared outside an infamous New York City church. The striking Gothic Revival building at the corner of 20th Street and Sixth Avenue is one of Manhattan's most legendary shape-shifters — it has hosted a groundbreaking nightclub, a trendy shopping space, an edgy gym and a myriad of pop-ups over the decades. Now, it appears the deconsecrated church stands to sell or find a new tenant. Advertisement The Instagram account @newyorklocals shared photos of the advertisements earlier this week. 'Can someone please make this the Limelight again?' the caption asked, referring to the fabled turn-of-the-century nightclub. 11 The massive signage outside of the Sixth Avenue structure. Getty Images Before the site became an icon of '80s nightlife — or a den of drug-fueled iniquity, depending on who you ask — the Church of the Holy Communion was your typical Episcopalian place of worship, catering to Sixth Avenue's well-heeled WASPs 100 years before before the term even existed. The sprawling and asymmetrical stone facade was initially built in the mid-19th century. It was made a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1966. Advertisement The church emptied out as the neighborhood declined in the '60s and '70s, Curbed reported in 2016, leasing on the cheap to an academic research group and a rehabilitation center before it fell into the hands of a visionary nightclub owner, Peter Gatien. Gatien's Limelight — one of several clubs the Canadian businessman operated in the city — launched with a bang in 1983. Andy Warhol hosted opening night and the church's chapel space was used for foam parties, according to Curbed. 11 An archival image of the property. AP 11 Madonna pictured attending a birthday party at the club in 1984. Patrick McMullan The Limelight's debaucherous atmosphere defined the most famous era of NYC rave culture, but it is widely reported that the business devolved into a drug-dealing hotspot. The club had close ties to the countercultural Club Kids, and the brutal murder and dismemberment of drug dealer Angel Melendez for which the club's promoter, the late Michael Alig, was convicted. Repeated crackdowns by the city proved too much for Gatien, who was plagued by his own legal issues. The final iteration of the Limelight shut its doors for good in 2010, and the club's gothic home went on to new but unlucky chapters in retail and fitness. In 2010, the site became a three-story boutique shopping destination for artisanal brands, but that endeavor lasted just a few years. Then it became a nightclub-themed gym, a French bistro and successive pop-ups. More recent plans sought to turn the church into a performance space. 11 A coal fired pizzeria inside the old church takes its name from the former club. The extremities of the once-sacred property are occupied by the Limelight Pizza NYC and Jue Lan Club, a dim sum restaurant. Employees of both establishments told The Post that their properties are separately operated from the main sanctuary. Two employees who spoke with The Post were unaware of any details regarding the sanctuary's current ownership or plans to find a new occupant. They confirmed that the sanctuary is currently vacant. City records indicate the entire parcel is owned by Mansion Realty LLC. The LLC is connected to Ben Ashkenazy's real estate firm, Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation. Advertisement Despite the flashy adverts, no public listings for the enigmatic property have materialized. A representative for the company confirmed it owns the building, but parties privy to additional details on the potential sale/lease could not be reached by press time.

‘Modern Family' star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons ‘surprised' by the reaction over coming out as bisexual

'Modern Family' star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons said she didn't expect the reaction she got when she came out as bisexual in June. 'I didn't even mean to come out, I just thought the video was really fun. I just thought it was kind of funny. And I was like, 'People will find this funny,'' said Anderson-Emmons, 18, who is known for playing Lily Tucker-Pritchett in the Emmy-winning hit sitcom, said in an interview with 'Them' published on Friday. The former child star added, 'And indeed they did, but I didn't even think of it as, 'Oh, I'm coming out to the world as bisexual, this [is a brave thing] that I'm doing,' because it shouldn't have to be something.' Kai Trump's 2021 Instagram Post Is Basically a Prequel to Her Mom's Tiger Woods Romance

When Kai Trump posted her first Instagram post on Feb. 23, 2021, she probably didn't have her mom, Vanessa Trump, in mind. The snapshot she shared was with her grandfather, Donald Trump, and Tiger Woods on the golf course. In case you didn't know, Kai, 18, is a talented golfer who is committed to playing the sport at the University of Miami beginning in the fall of 2026. She appeared to be about eight years old in the photo, which included the caption, 'Wishing Tiger luck and a speedy recovery. Also wishing his family all the best in these incredibly trying times. Get well soon! #goat #tigerwoods.' (You can see the photo here.) More from SheKnows Donald Trump's Granddaughter Kai Hits the Hamptons for a Lavish Summer Getaway With Mom Vanessa Trump Kai was reacting to Woods' serious single-car accident in Los Angeles after his SUV veered off the road at a high rate of speed. The injuries to his right leg required surgery and an extensive rehabilitation period. Still, the Trump family had no idea what was to come just three years later. Vanessa, the former wife of Donald Trump Jr., began dating the golfer in November 2024, and there have been rumors that her relationship with him is rather serious. The first hint fans got that Woods was all-in with Vanessa was a surprising Instagram post announcing his love for her. 'Love is in the air, and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together,' he wrote in March, along with several cozy snapshots. 'At this time, we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.' While some people think they are headed down the aisle, a source for the Daily Mail thinks that they are both OK with keeping marriage out of the equation. 'Cynically, why should she get married? There's no point of it, and it would just complicate her alimony from Donald [Trump Jr.],' the insider claimed in July. 'And Tiger, of course, paid out a lot in his divorce from Elin [Nordegren], and I don't think he's particularly excited to do that again.' Woods has always relegated his love life to last place after prioritizing his children, daughter Sam, 18, and son Charlie, 16, with whom he shares with Nordegren, and his golf career. 'If you know Tiger, you know that he's not the type to just get married at the drop of a hat,' the source continued. 'He has been with women for years and not done that. I think it would take a lot to get him to be a groom again.' Still, Kai's photo feels like it somehow predicted the future. Vanessa and Woods have a lot in common with their kids attending the same school together along with their family's love of golf.
