Pregnant Shaughna Phillips reveals her plans to have a c-section as she recalls 'traumatic' birth of daughter Lucia which saw her suffer a haemorrhage
The Love Island star, 31, is expecting a baby girl with her jailed boyfriend Billy Webb, who is also father to two-year-old Lucia.
Following the birth of Lucia in April 2023, Billy, 29, was sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply 4.5kg of cocaine worth at least £360,000. Currently held in a Category D prison, he's been allowed home visits for a few days each month.
But on Wednesday, Shaughna opened up about how she has planned a c-section for the birth of her second child.
She said this was after suffering a 'traumatic' birth with Lucia where she was 10 days overdue so went in to be induced, before being rushed for a c-section and suffering a post-birth haemorrhage.
Taking to her Instagram Story for a Q&A with fans, Shaughna said: 'I absolutely plan on having a c section so I really hope baby girl gets the memo and stays inside until served the eviction notice.
'I had a pretty traumatic birth with Lucia and it got pretty scary towards the end so I don't want to risk that happening again.'
Going on to explain her birth, she said in another slide: 'So I was 10 days overdue and when I went in to begin my induction, I opted for a non hormonal method which was the rods, they essentially are placed inside you and expand and should kick start labour (as well as having your waters broke).
'They're supposed to be taken out after 12 hours I believe and mine were left in for 18 hours because no one was available to remove them, which led to painful, bloody removal... on the ward... with no pain relief.
'Then I laboured as normal, had an epidural which was fab, started pushing after about 10 hours and she was coming down and sliding back every time I stopped pushing.'
Shaughna continued: 'She started getting really distressed after about an hour of pushing, so I was rushed for a c-section. Before they done that they tried forceps (?????) as soon as they put them on her head she twisted so they stopped and went ahead with the c-section.
'I then had a post-birth haemorrhage which was the cherry on top of a 48hr ordeal lol.'
Elsewhere Shaughna revealed she had been struggling to decide on baby names for her second daughter.
'GUYS the name situation is really killing me. We've narrowed it down to two, one traditional and one very random and slyly made up... I don't know if I have the nerve to use it,' she wrote.

'Two names we loved but have taken out of the running are Misse and Miley, still love them though.'
Shaughna revealed the gender of her second baby in a sweet new Instagram video she shared on Tuesday.
Thrilled to announce the gender, Shaughna posted a video of a fury pink baby grow ahead of welcoming her baby girl.
Sharing her excitement, she told Closer magazine: 'I'm going to be a girl mum - I can't believe it. I really can't, because I was absolutely convinced I was having a boy!'
'It was a huge shock, it took me a minute to be like "Right okay". Because not only did I think it was a boy, but I did want a boy. I thought if I had one of each I am done, as I'll have the best of both', she added.
'I can't imagine having a boy now and I won't try again - two is perfect. Having three is expensive.'
Shaughna recently revealed she got to a point where she was doing pregnancy tests 'seven times a day' while opening up about her very unexpected second pregnancy.
Admitting she wasn't expecting to get pregnant so quickly on her 'first attempt', the TV star explained she 'kept Clear Blue in business' due to the very high amount of tests she ordered.
'Then it got to the point where, because I was testing so much, I would do one and not even think twice about it because I was doing them about seven times a day,' she told The Sun.
Yet Shaughna was shocked to see the positive line when she found out she was pregnant and felt 'over the moon', calling herself 'very lucky'.
She admitted she could barely believe it and decided to conduct yet another test to make sure the news was definite.
'But I just really didn't expect it'd be the first try. So, it was a shock. It was still a shock, even though I was trying.
'The next day I did another and I thought right, I'm going to film this, and it came up with a stronger line, and even then I was still in shock.'
The TV personality recently revealed how she planned her pregnancy with Billy after her ovulation period had coincided with him being home from prison.
Speaking to the Mirror last month, Shaughna said: 'It was the first time that my ovulation window coincided with Billy being home.
'I was like, "You know what? Why not? Let's just see" - and literally, the next day, I said to Billy, "I think I'm pregnant".'

Why I Stuck a Flare Up My Arse for England review – when macho match-day exuberance goes viral
Football is coming home for Alex Hill's one-man play for a third and final season on the fringe and you can see why it has proved such a hit. The setting is the delayed Euro 2020 tournament, the one in which Gareth Southgate's England beat ancient rivals Germany, then Ukraine and Denmark before facing Italy at Wembley. For an obsessive fan such as Billy Kinley, someone who lives for football and its attendant culture of booze and thuggery, it is an excitement almost too great to bear. That is as close a reason as he can come up with for pulling down his shorts and shoving a flare between his bum cheeks on match day. It is an act of exuberance that turns him into a viral sensation. It also gives him cause to wonder how his life has reached such a place, especially now he has been abandoned by his childhood pal Adam and dumped by his previously tolerant girlfriend. If he knew the phrase toxic masculinity, he would have to use it; a once sweet-natured boy, he has traded his old stability for the camaraderie of the terraces and the excesses of drugs and violence. The flare is his way of belonging. Under the direction of Sean Turner, Hill plays Billy with gusto. In the working-class tradition of Steven Berkoff and John Godber, he gives a have-your-cake-and-eat-it performance that revels in macho exuberance even while it delivers a sobering message about communication breakdown. The details of that breakdown are slipped in teasingly. It feels like there is more to be said about Adam's fate and the degree to which Billy should be held accountable for failing to listen to his friend. It is a boisterous play about boisterousness, one that will keep knocking in the goals for audiences, even if it says more about the thrill of the hooligan lifestyle than the emotional inarticulacy behind it. Man who tried to kidnap Britain's Princess Anne in 1974 claims innocence
The gunman who attempted to kidnap Britain's Princess Anne in 1974 has claimed he is innocent nearly six years after his release from a secure hospital, according to a report. Ian Ball tried to abduct Anne and her then-husband Captain Mark Phillips as they were driven along The Mall to Buckingham Palace on March 20th, 1974. Advertisement Anne kept her cool and when Ball, then 26, told her to 'come with me for a day or two' because he wanted £2 million, she replied 'not bloody likely, and I haven't got £2 million'. The Daily Mail reported that Ball was released from Broadmoor Hospital on probation in 2019 and has subsequently self-published an autobiographical novel called To Kidnap A Princess. In an interview with the newspaper, Ball, now 77, said: 'I'm an innocent, sane man because I had good reason to believe the gunpowder had been taken out of the bullets and another girl had been substituted for Princess Anne.' Discussing Anne, Ball said: 'She wasn't bothered on the night. Advertisement 'I didn't scare her. I was more scared than she was.' The description of Ball's book on Amazon reads that it 'opens with the dramatic and thrilling attempted kidnapping of Princess Anne' and details the author's 'eventful and turbulent 45-year stay in Rampton and Broadmoor criminal lunatic asylums'. It adds: 'The book is an emotive read and it will make you laugh, make you cry, shock you even, but ultimately it will leave you in wonder at the indomitability of the human spirit.' Ball pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey in May 1974 to charges of attempted murder and attempted kidnap and was detained without time limit under the Mental Health Act. Advertisement A UK Ministry of Justice spokesperson said: 'Restricted patients can be recalled back to hospital if their mental health deteriorates to such a level that the risk they pose becomes unmanageable in the community.' Anne, who was 23 at the time of the attempted kidnapping, later said she was 'furious at this man who was having a tug of war with me' and for ripping her favourite blue velvet dress. Anne's father, Prince Philip, later quipped of the attempted kidnapping: 'If the man had succeeded in abducting Anne, she would have given him a hell of a time in captivity.' Ball had blocked the princess's car with his own as it drove along the Mall and fired a series of shots through the rear window as he tried to kidnap her. Advertisement Anne and Mark Phillips in the grounds of Buckingham Palace in 1973 (PA) Anne Captain Phillips were unhurt during the late-night ambush but Anne's bodyguard, chauffeur, a police constable and a journalist were all shot by Ball, who was armed with two revolvers. Anne's bodyguard, former Metropolitan Police inspector Jim Beaton, was awarded the George Cross after being shot three times as he protected Anne. Passer-by, former heavyweight boxer Ronnie Russell punched Ball twice in the head as he tried to kidnap the princess. For his bravery Mr Russell was awarded the George Medal by Queen Elizabeth II, who told him: 'The medal is from the Queen, but I want to thank you as Anne's mother.' Advertisement Discussing the incident, Mr Russell previously said Ball was trying to drag Anne from her car while her husband was pulling her back. 'She was very, very together, telling him, 'Just go away and don't be such a silly man',' he said. 'He stood there glaring at me with the gun and I hit him. I hit him as hard as I could – if he had been a tree he would have fallen over – and he was flat on the floor face down.'
