Bicycles to all govt high school students in Addanki
Speaking on the occasion, the minister explained that the bicycle distribution programme aims to encourage students toward high school education while reducing dropouts in government schools.
He announced that they will provide bicycles to all boys and girls in government high schools within the Addanki constituency. Minister Gottipati emphasised that today's students will become excellent citizens for the state tomorrow only if they study well. He stressed that students should focus on their studies during their academic years and engage in politics at the appropriate time. He thanked his friends, various companies, and voluntary organisations like Assist for their financial support in distributing bicycles to students. The minister highlighted that Minister Lokesh has introduced several reforms in the education system to provide quality education to government school students in Andhra Pradesh. He observed that Minister Lokesh intends to separate politics from education.
He said that students have already been provided with quality uniforms, shoes, bags, and books. The coalition government has no intention of using colours on the bags or other material, the minister noted.
Minister Gottipati also participated in the 'Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu' at the village and inaugurated CC roads and side drains constructed at Rs 30 lakh. He also inaugurated a new black burley tobacco purchase centre at Tammavaram of Korisapadu mandal in Bapatla district on Tuesday.
He assured farmers not to worry and promised that the government would purchase tobacco up to the last leaf sent by farmers. The minister clarified that even low-grade tobacco rejected in the name of quality will be purchased through Markfed.

TIRUCHY: Tense moments prevailed at the corporation council meeting for July convened on Thursday as Deputy Mayor G Divya and 25 councillors walked out in protest against the establishment of a chicken waste processing unit at the civic body's dump yard in Ariyamangalam. Once the session chaired by Mayor Mu Anbalagan commenced, Ward 16 councillor and Zone 3 chairperson M Mathivanan said, "Last year, when we raised concerns over pollution in the areas surrounding the dump yard, the mayor assured us that no further garbage dumping would take place and that the land would be cleared and possibly repurposed for public use, such as a bus stand. However, two months ago, a resolution was adopted to establish a chicken waste processing unit on 8,000 square feet of land within the dump yard to process 35 metric tonnes of chicken waste per day.' Mentioning that the unit was handed over to a private firm for operations at a monthly rent of Rs 56,000, the councillor said, 'We opposed this but the centre's construction began. If the plant becomes operational, the odour [from it] will make it unbearable for nearby residents." "Recently, local residents raised their concerns with the authorities as well as with Thiruverumbur MLA and School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi. The minister directed officials to stop the project. However, construction work continued even on Thursday," he added.

All set for Naidu‘s Kadapa visit
Kadapa/Jammalamadugu: Allarrangements are complete for the arrival of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in Kadapa, stated District In-Charge Minister and State Minister for BC, EWS Welfare, Handlooms and Textiles, S. Savitha. Speaking to reporters at a resort in Jammalamadugu on Thursday, Minister Savitha, accompanied by State Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, MLAs Adinarayana Reddy and Putta Krishna Chaitanya Reddy, detailed the Chief Minister's itinerary. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to visit Jammalamadugu to distribute NTR Bharosa social pensions (as Friday marks the 1st of the month) and participate in the P-4 programme. Minister Savitha expressed confidence that with the coalition government in power, Kadapa district is poised for a golden era. She highlighted the Chief Minister's focus on industrial and tourism development in the district. On Friday, Naidu will lay foundation stones for tourism projects worth Rs 160 crore in Gandikota, with Rs 80 crore specifically allocated for Gandikota's development. 'CM Chandrababu Naidu believes tourism is crucial for State development, which is why he's giving special attention to its growth across Andhra Pradesh,' Minister Savitha stated. She added that the P-4 model, aimed at poverty eradication, will significantly benefit the weaker sections of society. As part of its implementation in the constituency, the Chief Minister will meet with 'Golden Families', mentors and the public at the Praja Vedika in Goodemcheruvu. Following this, he will hold a separate meeting with TDP workers and leaders. Minister Savitha emphasised that the Chief Minister was driving both development and welfare forward like 'twin horses' in the State. She highlighted his efforts in attracting investments from both within India and abroad, and noted that Andhra Pradesh was providing pensions on a scale unmatched by any other State in the country. Regarding the arrangements for the Chief Minister's visit, Minister Savitha confirmed that everything is ready. She inspected the helipad set up near the Government Polytechnic College in Jammalamadugu and subsequently reviewed the arrangements at the Praja Vedika in Goodemcheruvu. She instructed officials to expedite the completion of arrangements at the public meeting venue and ensure all preparations for the CM's visit are meticulously handled. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind To Challenge NIA Court's Verdict On Malegaon Blast In Bombay HC
The NIA Mumbai court on Thursday also ordered the Maharashtra government to pay Rs 2 lakh to each deceased victim's family and Rs 50,000 to the injured. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind will challenge the recent verdict by Mumbai's NIA court in the Malegaon blast case by filing an appeal in the Bombay High Court in the first week of August. The legal move will be led by the organisation's legal cell under the leadership of its president, Maulana Arshad Madani. Jamiat has been representing the victims of the blast throughout the legal proceedings. The development comes only a day after a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court on Thursday acquitted all seven accused of the Malegaon blast that left six killed and over 100 injured. The court, while reading out the judgment, said there was no 'reliable and cogent" evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. The accused were booked under UAPA Sections 16 (committing terrorist act) and 18 (conspiring to commit terrorist act) and under various IPC sections, including 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy), 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 153 (a) (promoting enmity between two religious groups). As per the NIA court's order, the Maharashtra government must pay Rs 2 lakh to each deceased victim's family and Rs 50,000 to the injured. The Malegaon blast case traces back to September 29, 2008, when an explosive device strapped to a motorcycle detonated near a mosque at Bhikku Chowk in Malegaon, killing six people and injuring 95 others. Initially, 11 individuals were named as accused in the investigation. However, the court eventually framed charges against seven of them. Those charged include former MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, retired Major Ramesh Upadhyay, Sudhakar Chaturvedi, Ajay Rahirkar, Sudhankar Dhar Dwivedi (also known as Shankaracharya), and Sameer Kulkarni. Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur expressed satisfaction after the court's verdict and said,"I have endured years of humiliation. I had to struggle repeatedly.
