Mebane man charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of minor
In November 2024, members of the ITF began an investigation related to a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in which Raymond Vincent Wargo, Jr., 58, of Mebane, was identified as a suspect.
Wargo, Jr. was arrested on Friday and charged with ten counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
He was taken to the Alamance County Detention Center and issued a $300,000 secured bond.
He will appear in court on Monday.
The Invictus Task Force is 'a joint effort of Randolph, Alamance, Davidson, and Forsyth Counties, the State Bureau of Investigation, and Homeland Security in the fight against internet crimes against children (ICAC), sexual abuse, trafficking and the exploitation of children using a collaboration of resources as a force multiplier.'

Andres Rafael Diaz, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, a first-degree felony, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony. He pleaded not guilty to the remaining 19 charges — nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and 10 counts of unlawful distribution of an intimate image — and they were dismissed with prejudice as part of the plea agreement. Utah law states that for his first-degree felony conviction, he can be sentenced to five years to life in prison. For his two second-degree felony convictions of sexual exploitation of a minor, he can be sentenced from 1 to 15 years in prison. Over a year, several search warrants and court orders finally led investigators to connect the account to Diaz. During the investigation, they received more tip lines, also confirmed to be connected to Diaz. The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at Diaz's residence and made contact with him. Documents say that he admitted to owning the accounts and sending and receiving CSAM on the social media platform. He told investigators he was 'unsure how many files of CSAM he sent to other users, but that it was a lot.' Through social media, Diaz allegedly had graphic sexual conversations about underage children — including some that he knew in person — with other users. Murray woman charged for creating, distributing CSAM online, documents say

MURRAY, Utah () — A Murray woman has been arrested and charged after the FBI discovered she had created and distributed child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online. A 31-year-old woman, whom ABC4 is not identifying to protect the identity of the victim, has been charged with one count of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and one count of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, both first-degree felonies. According to court documents, on Aug. 6, 2025, the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force (CEHTTF) in Utah was contacted by FBI agents in Florida regarding an account uploading CSAM to an online forum. The Florida FBI Field Office had investigated, and determined that the account owner was posting from somewhere in Utah. The CEHTTF reviewed the images posted on the account and discovered a photo of a woman who they believed owned the account, later identified as the 31-year-old. She allegedly included a caption that identified herself as a pedophile. READ NEXT: West Haven man pleads guilty to sending and receiving CSAM through social media Using that photo and other information from the account, law enforcement determined that the account belonged to the 31-year-old woman, who lived in Murray. They tracked down her address and served a search warrant on Aug. 8, two days after the initial tip from the Florida FBI. Law enforcement took the woman's electronic devices and cell phone. She was detained, and the CEHTTF conducted an interview with her. The 31-year-old allegedly admitted that she did download and post CSAM on her account. During the interview, the woman also admitted that she had sexually abused a minor child that she knew and had access to, who was under 14. According to documents, the 31-year-old recorded the sexual abuse and claimed that she had uploaded that video around 200 times, posting it or sending it to other users. Law enforcement made contact with the minor victim, who confirmed that they had been sexually abused by the 31-year-old woman. The woman was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail, where she is currently being held on a no-bail warrant due to her risk to the victim and other children. Charges are allegations only. All arrested persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. St. George man now facing 39 felony charges for allegedly possessing and uploading CSAM

HURRICANE, Utah () — A St. George man, who previously pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual activity with a minor, has been charged with possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Ricardo Robert Riggs, 28, was charged with 20 second-degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor on Aug. 14, 2025. Last month, on July 25, he was charged with 19 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, facing 39 counts across two cases. According to court documents, in July 2024, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip that a user was uploading CSAM to their account. This tip was passed to the Utah County Attorney General's Office, along with a second tip that was also connected to the case. The officer was able to track down Riggs' home address and created a search warrant for his residence. On July 23, 2025, Hurricane officers served the search warrant and took Riggs into custody. He was booked into the Washington County Jail for the 19 files of CSAM that were uploaded to his Kik account. Riggs allegedly denied knowing anything about the files, and his electronic devices were seized. Two days later, on July 25, Riggs was charged with 19 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor for the files that were uploaded on Kik. While being held in jail, Riggs reportedly refused to attend his initial appearance, and it had to be rescheduled. A copy of a plea offer was delivered to him in jail, and he has a resolution hearing scheduled for Aug. 19. On Aug. 12, the Hurricane officer completed a search warrant to download information from the two phones taken from Riggs during his arrest. On the phones, the officer located 40 files of CSAM, including videos and photos. Riggs was rebooked into the Washington County Jail for the files of CSAM located on his personal devices. Today, Aug. 14, he was charged with 20 additional felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Documents say he had sexually abused a 14-year-old after serving her alcohol, and the severity of the charges was lowered to Class B misdemeanors through his plea deal. In 2023, Riggs exposed himself to another inmate at the Washington County Jail while serving jail time for his 2022 offense. He was initially charged with a third-degree felony count of lewdness, but the severity was lowered to a Class B misdemeanor through a plea agreement. Currently, Riggs is being held without bail at the Washington County Jail for his two current cases involving possession of CSAM. Charges are allegations only. All arrested persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
