In December 2021, Anushka took to Instagram to celebrate her fourth wedding anniversary and posted a set of goofy and adorable pictures with her husband, Virat. But it was her thoughtful caption that made fans pause and smile.
She wrote, "There is no easy way out, there is no shortcut home. Your favourite song and words you've lived by always. These words hold true for everything including relationships. Gukesh. While the day was truly unforgettable for Gukesh, who was left in a disadvantageous position against Caruana, the 19-year-old did mention a special moment from the tournament. Despite having fallen short of a win at the Norway Chess 2025, Gukesh held onto his sense of humour during a post-tournament event. At the ceremony, Gukesh was asked to name his favourite moment, and his response even left the World No. 1 smiling. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Norway Chess (@norway_chess) To the host's question, Gukesh did not hesitate but looked directly at Carlsen and said, 'Beating Magnus." While the response drew instant laughter from the crowd, the Norwegian chess star also couldn't stop smiling. Later, Carlsen was also asked the same question, and he said, 'It's the same as Gukesh. I mean, there were great moments in the tournament. That's the one that sticks out for me as well." The video was shared on the official handle of Norway Chess with the caption reading, 'We will ALL remember this one thing." After winning his seventh Norway Chess title on Saturday, Magnus Carlsen spoke about chess stars D Gukesh and Arjun Erigaisi, stating that they 'still need a little bit of time to prepare. Norway Chess 2025 Magnus Carlsen won the round-one clash in the tournament, only to face defeat from Gukesh in round six. Gukesh registered his first-ever Classical win over the World No. 1, leaving Carlsen visibly upset as he banged the table before congratulating Gukesh. OH MY GOD top videos View all Speaking on the same, Carlsen said, 'The dream of playing a really good tournament burst with that game. It wasn't my finest hour, but I regret the moves I made more than the gesture because that kind of happened at the moment. I was so kind of out of it that I had to jump out of the car on the way back and just take several minutes to compose myself." Despite the loss, Carlsen managed to revive his position and was eventually announced a winner after Gukesh's dramatic final-round match against Caruana. Defending champion Carlsen ended the tournament with 16 points, while Caruana finished second with 15.5 points, and Gukesh finished third with 14.5 points. Erigaisi came fifth with 12.5 points. Lyricist Vairamuthu criticises Tamil filmmakers for using his verses as film titles without permission
Popular Tamil lyricist and writer Vairamuthu on Monday (June 9) criticised Tamil filmmakers for using verses from his songs as titles of their films without seeking permission from him. Taking to his official X handle, the lyricist claimed that those filmmakers neither sought permission nor informed him about the same. 'It's not just one or two. 'Ponmaalai Pozhudhu,' 'Kann Sivanthaal Mann Sivakkum,' 'Ilaya Nila,' 'Oorai Therinjikitten,' 'Panivizhum Malarvanam,' 'Vellaipura Ondru,' 'Poove Poochooda Vaa,' 'Eeramana Rojave,' 'Antha Nilava Thaan Kaiyila Pidichen,' 'Mouna Raagam,' 'Minsara Kanna', 'Kannalane,' 'Ennavale,' 'Uyire,' 'Sandakozhi', 'Poovellam Kettuppar,' 'Thenmerku Paruvakaatru,' 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa,' 'Neethaane En Ponvasantham,' 'Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal,' 'Thangamagan'...the list goes on.' ALSO READ: Chinmayi interview on 'Thug Life' song: 'Despite praise, I feel numb' The lyricist added that even at times when he came across the said filmmakers, he neither scolded them nor questioned them for doing so. 'Because it gave me joy that in a society where wealth isn't a common property, at least knowledge is becoming common,' he added. 'To ask, 'Why didn't you ask me before doing this?' would not be civilised of me. But then, would it not be uncivilised of them to not ask me even a single word before doing it?' wrote Vairamuthu. The tweet drew quite a few reactions from the netizens, one of whom wondered if this was a fair ask from the lyricist. 'If you look at it that way, no one can use anything. The words in your lyrics may have appeared in a book, a novel, a short story, or even a poem before. So what if those writers claim ownership of the said verses? You can state this if an entire song was misused,' read the post.
