Selena Gomez 'hopeful' Nicola Peltz and the Beckhams can mend their bitter feud
Singer Selena Gomez has reportedly stepped in amid her pal Nicola Peltz and her feud with her husband Brooklyn Beckham's famous family
It was recently reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were keen to develop a 'US Fab Four' with Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham, but they're not the only A-Listers on hand to support the pair.
Brooklyn and Nicola have taken over headlines recently amid a feud with his parents David and Victoria Beckham - and it's now been reported that Selena Gomez has been standing by Nicola's side.
The former Disney Channel star announced her engagement with Benny Blanco earlier this year, and sources claim Selena's using her wedding planning to keep her friend Nicola distracted from the drama.
"Selena is always there for her friends if, and when they need anything," an insider told DailyMail.com. "She has been messaging Nicola and trying to keep her mind off the drama."
The source continued by saying that Selena "loves getting Nicola's advice" on her upcoming nuptials. A second source told the publication that Selena was "hopeful" that the family can heal their rift.
The duo have been close friends since 2022, after meeting at the Academy Museum Gala. The besties became so close that they even got matching "angel" tattoos.
Sources claimed to The Mirror that Nicola and Brooklyn were "devastated" not to see his parents on a recent trip to London.
"Nicola encourages Brooklyn to see his family and is usually the reason Brooklyn does see his family. They are both devastated," a source said, "They cannot believe that Victoria & David refused to see them privately after they travelled all the way to London specifically to try to repair the relationship.
"As parents, it's shocking that Victoria & David are behaving this way... instead of privately discussing the issue. Victoria and David (appear to) have no interest in finding a solution that works for everyone."
It doesn't look like the family feud is over just yet, with David and eldest son Brooklyn failing to meet last week, despite both being in London. Brooklyn and Nicola also swerved David's huge 50th birthday bash in London a couple of weeks ago, despite having flown over to the UK to reportedly celebrate with the England star in private. Brooklyn didn't publicly acknowledge his father David or mother Victoria's birthdays last month.
Earlier this year it was reported that brothers Brooklyn and Romeo were in a feud - believed to be centred around Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnbull. It had been suggested that Brooklyn was once romantically linked to Kim, however Hello magazine recently reported that, amid commentary on social media, Cruz wrote in a now-deleted comment that the pair "never dated".
TMZ has "the right intentions" for dating Romeo.

How Sabrina Carpenter's ‘Pornhub' album cover sparked fury by pushing sexually dubious image to millions of young girls
KNEELING on all fours, black mini-dress riding up, Sabrina Carpenter pouts for the camera – her trademark platinum hair in the grip of a man's fist as her hand lingers suggestively on his leg. So, little wonder the cover image from the US singer's up-coming album Man's Best Friend, which she teased yesterday on Instagram, has sparked outrage. 5 The cover image of Sabrina Carpenter's up-coming album Man's Best Friend has sparked outrage online 5 Sabrina had already caused controversy earlier this year with her eye-popping legs-akimbo performance at the Brits 5 Sabrina's performance prompted more than 900 Ofcom complaints from viewers While the former Disney Channel star has been praised in the past for 'owning' her sexuality in a feminist way, it seems this latest display has gone too far for many. One fan on X labelled it 'straight-up Pornhub fantasy', while a domestic violence charity issued a statement saying: 'Sabrina Carpenter's album cover isn't edgy, it's regressive.' The Espresso singer had already caused controversy earlier this year with her eye-popping legs-akimbo performance in red lingerie at the Brits, which prompted more than 900 Ofcom complaints from viewers who thought her scantily clad writhing wrong for a pre-watershed audience. Now, with her latest racy shot on the album cover, 26-year-old Sabrina is determined to send out a message that she has shed her Disney past in favour of a sexually charged image. Which is all well and good were it not for Sabrina's army of pre-teen fans who have helped propel her so quickly to stratospheric stardom. Her last album Short N' Sweet spawned a string of No1 singles and her tour sold out in minutes — with many children of primary school age among the concert-goers. Nicknamed Polly Pocket by fans because of her tiny 5ft stature, Sabrina's saccharinely sexy stage outfits, which often comprise lacy, pastel underwear, stockings and vintage baby-doll nighties, have been branded Lolita-like in the past. That comparison to Vladimir Nabokov's 1955 novel about a professor fixated on a 12-year-old girl is one the artist embraced in a shoot for W mag. She recreated an image from Stanley Kubrick's film version of Lolita where 14-year-old actress Sue Lyons gets soaked in a garden by water sprinklers. A friend told me recently how she had treated her daughter to tickets to see Sabrina's performance at the BST In Hyde Park concert in London next month as a present for doing well in her recent Year 6 SAT exams. But given Sabrina's latest imagery, I for one won't be in a rush to sing along with my 11-year-old to lyrics such as, 'I told that boy to sit me down on all fours/I told that boy go faster, now I'm all sore' — a tweaked version of the lyrics to Nonsense, which she sang to an audience in Singapore last year. The star has even described herself as 'vulgar' and 'obnoxiously horny'. On her recent Short N' Sweet tour it became a fan-favourite segment for her to mime a surprise sex act, while giant confetti cannons erupted in a suggestive way. Of course, such pornographic posturing is certainly nothing new in the world of pop. Sabrina's shocking shenanigans come straight from a playbook used by everyone from Madonna, who famously simulated pleasuring herself on stage, to Christina Aguilera writhing around in knickers and backless chaps in her 2002 Dirrty video. Britney Spears' first ever mag cover shot caused a storm when she posed for Rolling Stone in 1999 lying on a bed in a bra, in a teenager-style bedroom, while clutching a Teletubby toy. But in an age when OnlyFans porn star Bonnie Blue, 26, has become world-famous for depraved stunts such as sleeping with 1,000 men in a day, the overt selling of sex to young girls takes on a more worrying aspect. Indeed, recent figures estimate close to four per cent of young women aged 18 to 34 are selling content on X-rated platform Only-Fans. Sure, most won't be behaving like Blue, but it exposes a trend toward women feeling compelled to sell themselves on the internet. There are, of course, many fans who praise Sabrina as a woman in control of her own music and performances. They applaud her sexual frankness and witty lyrics. 'ANTI-TAYLOR SWIFT' One tweet from a fan, following a sold-out concert last year, went viral. It read: 'Sabrina Carpenter is a genius for how she embraces her sexuality but still keeps women as her target audience. "Like, how is she performing in lingerie and I still feel like it's not for men at all? "I can't comprehend it, but I love it.' But I worry Sabrina's latest album cover, with its overtones of subjugation, has gone far too far. Coupled with growing fears about young boys being radicalised by Andrew Tate-style misogynistic bile online, which promotes slapping, hitting and keeping women 'in their place', is this a helpful image to push to young girls? Sabrina Carptenter's Rise to Fame SABRINA Carpenter's first role was as the lead in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World. Between 2014 and 2017, she appeared in over 70 episodes. She also signed with the Disney-owned Hollywood Records and released her debut single, Can't Blame a Girl for Trying, in 2014. After four albums, she moved to Island Records in 2021. Her fifth album, Emails I Can't Send (2022), had her hit singles Nonsense and Feather. Around that time, Sabrina started to gain notoriety in the UK. She opened for Taylor Swift at the Eras Tour in 2023 and then achieved wider commercial success with her sixth album Short n' Sweet, which was released earlier this year. Number one singles from the album include Espresso and Please Please Please. In a sense, Sabrina is carving out a niche for herself as something of an anti-Taylor Swift. During Taylor's smash-hit Eras tour last summer, where Sabrina was the support act, young fans adored her in ever-bigger numbers — but for showing emotional, not sexual, vulnerability. While Taylor puts on a jaw-dropping show and is no stranger to donning a glitzy corset, by her own admission she has never thought of herself as sexy. She once said: 'In my life I don't gravitate towards being edgy, sexy or cool. "I just naturally am not any of those things. "I'm imaginative, I'm smart and I'm hard-working — and those things are not necessarily prioritised by pop culture.' But while the two singers may be different, they are also good friends. Very like Taylor, though, Sabrina has heavily mined her own life for musical inspiration. 5 Sabrina dated Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan and even writhed with him in the video for Please Please Please 5 Sabrina is carving out a niche for herself as kind of anti-Taylor Swift Sabrina dated Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan and even writhed with him on screen in the video for her hit Please Please Please, which tellingly included the lyric: 'Heartbreak is one thing/ My ego's another/I beg you don't embarrass me, motherf***er.' The star, who also dated singer Shawn Mendes, even took aim at her own dad — the opening track of her album Emails I Can't Send is penned as an open letter to her father David after she found out he had cheated on her mum Elizabeth. The couple are still together but in the song Sabrina claims his behaviour has caused her to fear boyfriends will cheat on her — and indeed, it has been rumoured that her split with Keoghan was prompted by his infidelity. Her father did, though, encourage Sabrina's talent from a young age. Growing up in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, she and her three sisters were all home-schooled. Aged just ten, Sabrina began posting videos of herself singing along to Christina Aguilera songs on YouTube — and soon after that her dad built her a recording studio. In 2009, she came third in a singing contest run by Miley Cyrus, but her big break came when she was cast in Disney series Girl Meets World in 2013. Her aunt is Nancy Cartwright, the actress behind the voice of Bart Simpson — another famous on-screen rebel who doesn't care what the world thinks. But Sabrina's latest attempt to shock may have finally backfired. Her brand of performative sexuality might please, please some — but certainly not me, I'm afraid.

Brooklyn Beckham sends savage 'secret message' for Victoria and David in latest blow
Brooklyn Beckham's fiery feud with his famous parents Victoria and David does not appear to be fizzling out. Brooklyn's Beckham's ongoing feud with his parents does not appear to be dying down. Posh and Beck's eldest son has fallen out with Victoria and David, allegedly over his American actress wife Nicola Peltz, and it's been reported that he no longer wants to keep in contact. Football icon David Beckham, 50, will finally be awarded a knighthood in the King's Birthday Honours list this week and tensions have further been confirmed after he apparently did not tell Brooklyn, 26, about the huge news. Instead, the aspiring chef reportedly discovered his father's accolade through the media. A source for Brooklyn told Page Six he was delighted that his dad was finally receiving the honour, while another source, quoted as someone close to his parents, told the publication: "Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he's not responding to those that try to connect." The 26-year-old has also shared a snap of a tattoo that could be hinting as a tell-tale sign about where his loyalties lie, the Mirror reports. The image shows a tattoo on Brooklyn's upper back which is based on a note Nicola, 30, wrote to him before their wedding in April 2022. Tattooed in a stylish calligraphy font, it reads: "My forever boy. Read this anytime you feel anxious. I want you to know how deeply loved you are. "You have the kindest heart I've ever met and hope I never go a day without your love. I think you are so incredible. "Just know we can get through it all together if you breathe slow and trust. I love you beyond. Love always, your future wifey." Last month, Brooklyn and Nicola noticeably snubbed David's 50th birthday celebrations which included a father-and-sons' fishing trip and a star-studded dinner in London's swanky Notting Hill. The couple also failed to show up on a trip to France on a £40m private jet and a huge party at their Cotswolds home. The star's oldest son missed the entire rundown of celebrations. Last month, Brooklyn appeared to share the first public message from either side of the family feud with a video on social media. His post showed him revving a motorbike alongside his wife Nicola in Beverly Hills. The caption read: "My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby." One insider has insisted to Page Six that the couple were trying their best to remain on friendly terms with his family. Other reports suggest that their 2022 Palm Beach wedding had been a source of tension. In May, the publication said Victoria had 'hijacked' a dance they planned to a song performed by singer Marc Anthony who is a family friend. An earlier report pointed out the fact that Nicola's dress was designed by Valentino and not Victoria Beckham which was seemingly a further point of contention. The actress said she been initially planning on wearing a dress by her mother-in-law's label but that plan changed.

The real reason Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin split as insider reveals what finally made her walk away
Dakota Johnson was ready to walk down the aisle — but Chris Martin wasn't, and it cost them their relationship. The nepo baby actress, 35, and the Coldplay frontman, 48, began dating in 2017, got engaged years later, and on June 4, it was revealed they had quietly called it quits. A source told 'Their relationship has been over for a long time, they just haven't been able to figure out how to make it official.' As fans spiraled over the A-list breakup, another insider revealed the real reason behind the split on Tuesday: Martin's cold feet. 'She was sick of him dragging his feet on setting a date for the wedding,' a source told Page Six. The news comes just days after Martin sparked speculation with a cryptic shout-out to Dakota at Coldplay's Las Vegas show on Friday. 'Thank you so much everybody,' the Paradise singer said to the sold-out crowd at Allegiant Stadium, before unexpectedly referencing Johnson's latest film. 'Be kind to yourself, be kind to each other,' he admonished before adding, 'Don't forget to see Materialists! We love you!' in video shared by Deuxmoi. While the person who shot the video seemed to think the promotion meant 'THEYRE NOT BROKEN UP,' others disagreed. 'I can totally seeing him supporting her even after the break up,' another stated. 'You can breakup with someone and still be supportive. Look at him and GP,' said one fan, referring to the hitmaker's successful relationship with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow. 'I mean, didn't he help pioneer conscious uncoupling?' asked a fan, referring to the way Martin and Paltrow formally parted in 2014, although their divorce was not finalized until two years later. Reps for the pair have not officially confirmed their split. Last week, source said the 50 Shades of Grey star 'held a flame for them to be together because she loved him so much and loved his kids so much.' The insider continued: 'Dakota is devastated that she isn't going to be around his kids as much anymore, but wants them to know that she is always there for them.' They added that there is a chance the pair may reconcile but 'right now, being separated will do wonders if they were to have any type of future together.' DailyMail first reported trouble between the pair in August 2024 but a rep later confirmed they were still together. The pair had a brief rumored split in 2019 which was alleged to be over Martin pushing for them to have children, but they quickly got back together. Martin famously split from Paltrow the mother of his two children Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, in March 2014 after ten years of marriage. The then-Hollywood power couple described their separation at the time as a 'conscious uncoupling' and had their divorce finalized in July 2016. Martin was reported to be in an on-and-off relationship with actress Annabelle Wallis before they split in August 2017. He was first seen with Dakota at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles in October 2017 when they were reported to be 'cozy, laughing and affectionate'. Dakota, the daughter of Don Johnson, 75, and Melanie Griffith, 68, was spotted a month later at a Coldplay concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina, leading to fans posing social media pictures of her enjoying the show. The couple were seen out on more dates around Los Angeles in early 2018. But it was nearly a year later that they made their first openly public appearance together at Stella McCartney's Autumn 2018 Collection show in LA. Dakota appeared to confirm her relationship with Martin in an interview with Tatler in September 2018 when she said: 'I'm not going to talk about it, but I am very happy.' The following November, she is said to have met Paltrow, her new husband Brad Falchuk, and Martin's children at a Thanksgiving dinner A source told PEOPLE at the time: 'They're a total modern family and had a great time celebrating together.' The couple were spotted again with Paltrow and Falchuk on the beach in the Hamptons, New York, in August 2019. Paltrow opened up about her ex-husband's relationship with Dakota in a 2020 interview with Harper's Bazaar, describing how the actress had become part of her family. She said: 'I love her. I can see how it would seem weird because it's sort of unconventional. But I think, in this case, just having passed through it iteratively, I just adore her.' Johnson gushed over Martin's children in a 2024 interview, saying: 'I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.'
