But Judy, 77, proved she is on the mend as she beamed in 37-year-old Chloe 's latest snap, which showed the family tucking into pizza.
Fans were thrilled to see the former broadcaster looking so healthy after her recent ordeal, with one commenting: 'Judy is looking amazing.'
Someone else wrote: 'Your mum is looking really well.' And a third added: 'Beautiful Judy looks fab.'
Earlier this year Judy showed off a svelte new look during a day out with Richard, 69.
But she later revealed the terrifying reason behind her new look - and the health scare that proved life-changing.
In 2018, Judy needed two life-saving blood transfusions after taking ibuprofen for her knee pain sparked a stomach ulcer.
Opening up on the horror incident, which could have seen her "bleed out within an hour" she told MailOnline: "I nearly died.
"Totally out of the blue, I have never experienced anything like it before and hope to god I never will again.
"I survived thanks to exceptionally swift arriving and skilled ambulance crew and superb emergency treatment at London 's Royal Free Hospital and two major life-saving blood transfusions.'
Since the terrifying experience, Judy has lost over five stone and fitness enthusiast Chloe has praised her mum for sticking to her health kick.
Chloe Madeley shares rare snap of mum Judy Finnigan as she turns 77 after Richard's relationship update
Speaking on Loose Women, she explained how her mum's diet consisted of raw fish and healthy whole grain salads, though she wasn't interested in gym workouts.
She said: "I was as surprised as anyone else when I opened the fridge on coming home on the weekend and saw superfood salads and soups, I thought, what the hell is going on!
"I have to say her diet is now amazing. Her palate has changed. She has got into sushi, raw fish and whole grain salad. She has dropped the pounds naturally.'

'It doesn't get much better in terms of debuts'
BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club panel were all impressed by Tijjani Reijnders' "unbelievable" Premier League debut against Wolves in which he scored one and provided an the departure of Kevin de Bruyne this summer, there has been a lot of talk around how Pep Guardiola fills their 'Kev-shaped hole,' but any existing worries have probably now been put to bed because of Reijnders' potential."He's still got a long way to go before we put him in the same league as De Bruyne," said former top-flight striker Sutton. "They are not like-for-like players, but it is about making an impact and he certainly did that."The reverse pass for Erling Haaland, when he scored his second, was clever and a typical City move."All afternoon he was a threat. It doesn't get much better in terms of debuts so I think City fans have a lot to be excited about with him."Watch the full episode on BBC iPlayer and listen on BBC Sounds

Ulrika Jonsson hits out at Andy Carroll for 'gallivanting across the Mediterranean' with Lou Teasdale while his ex Billi Mucklow 'chooses to put their children first'
has criticised Andy Carroll for 'gallivanting across the Mediterranean' with his girlfriend Lou Teasale while his ex Billi Mucklow is at home with their children. Billi and Andy have three children together - Arlo, Wolf, and Marvel Mae - and she also raises his two children Emilie Rose, 15, and Lucas, 14 from his past relationship. The footballer is now in a relationship with make-up artist Lou, recently confirming they had got back together after a brief split earlier this month. Ulrika has been distinctly unimpressed with Andy's loved-up social media snaps with Lou from their travels while TOWIE star Billi looks after his children. In her column for The Sun, she wrote: 'Billi is at home with the three children she shares with Carroll and the two children he has from a previous relationship. She's been going about her business quietly, diligently, with unwavering dignity. Choosing to put the children first. 'She has understood that children need continuity, connection and a daily routine, so while their father has been gallivanting across the Mediterranean with his tongue attached to Lou Teasdale's tonsils, she has chosen to prioritise those she loves the most.' Ulrika asked why is it often the mother who stays at home taking care of the children while the father finds it easier to 'leave his family behind'. 'The mother is the one who remains at home with the children; who doesn't rush into another relationship; who understands she needs to get her ducks in a row before embarking on a new life?' she wrote. 'Why is it that it's so much easier for a man to just leave his family behind and go and satisfy his own needs?' Ulrika added that Andy and Lou's 'summer of love' has been so relentless, she's 'exhausted' just watching their antics. MailOnline has contacted representatives of Andy Carroll for comment. It comes after Andy revealed he is back with Lou following a brief split earlier this week. The couple split after a series of rows, with initial reports claiming the footballer dumped the make-up artist after becoming fed up with her high maintenance behaviour. However, Daily Mail exclusively revealed on Wednesday it was in fact Lou who called off the relationship. Andy has now vowed to cut down on alcohol in a bid to save their relationship after boozy rows as he confirmed the pair are trying 'to work through their difficulties'. He told The Sun on Sunday: 'I love Lou and I love her family. We row like any couple.' Referring to his divorce from wife Billi Mucklow, who he shares three children with, Andy added: 'Things have been difficult for me and I'm going through a divorce. 'Some of our rows have been about alcohol, as Lou has been teetotal for 14 years and I have a beer or wine at dinner and a drink after the game, but it's not a problem in my life. 'We're better off together and we're trying to work through our difficulties.' The pair, who were together for just over a year, unfollowed each other on social media and Andy wiped all trace of Lou from his Instagram. They now follow each other on Instagram and have added their loved-up snaps back to their pages. On Wednesday, a source told the Daily Mail: 'It was Lou who ended her relationship with Andy, she walked away a few days ago, it was very much her choice to end their romance. 'She isn't interested in pointing the finger or blaming him and hoped to deal with their split in private, before he blocked her on Instagram and deleted their photos together. 'Lou is very upset by how everything has played out and the arguments between them were especially difficult for her to go through. 'However, Andy wants Lou back and flew to Ibiza via private jet on Tuesday just to find her, even though he has no idea where she's staying. 'He will think it's a romantic gesture but for Lou, she's unimpressed and just wants to be away with her family, she's not interested in any of his attempts at a reconciliation now. 'All she has done all year is love and support Andy, her feelings haven't gone away, but Lou has to protect herself now and ending the relationship is the only way to move forward.' The pair began dating last year after he separated from wife Billi last September. Andy and Billi called it quits divorce after two years of turbulent marriage, the footballer confirmed last year. In 2022, their wedding was almost called off when Andy was pictured drunkenly passed out in bed with two women in Dubai on his stag do. Billi forgave him after one of the women insisted nothing sexual happened. Less than two years after their nuptials, the couple's marriage was over - with Andy confirming they had started divorce proceedings after 'a hard few months for our family'. Andy said in a statement at the time: 'Billi and I have privately separated earlier this year and we are under way with our divorce proceedings'. 'It has been a hard few months for our family and we continue to move forward amicably for our children.' The former couple have three children together Arlo, Wolf, and Marvel Mae and she also raises his two children Emilie Rose, 15, and Lucas, 14 from his past relationship
