2 New Drops From CDG x Vans & Adidas Walk The Talk & The Walk!
Two new footwear collections have just arrived, and they combine comfort and style in a magical way.
This week, we highlight an amazing collaboration; and kicks so lovely, you won't let them touch the ground.
CDG x Vans Authentic
Vans and COMME des GARïONS collaborate once more to reissue the Vans Authentic, the brand's iconic low-top, lace-up silhouette.
This re-release maintains the bold CDG branding and graphic overlays on a clean white upper, staying faithful to the original 2018 design. The noticeable CDG patch, which gives the shoe its distinctive identity, is a noteworthy detail.
The redesigned insole, which now sports the Vans 'OTW' logo branding, is one significant update in this edition.
It is a subtle yet noticeable departure from the original pair. The shoe offers everyday wearability with a sophisticated edge while retaining its high-end, luxurious appearance.
The CDG x Vans Authentic will be available later this month and only through CDG's website and store.
adidas Samba 'Real Madrid'
A special edition of adidas's renowned Samba sneaker has been released in honour of Real Madrid, one of the most illustrious football teams in history.
This release is a component of a larger 'Club-Themed Samba Pack' for the 2025–2026 season, which coincides with the FIFA Club World Cup and the introduction of new club uniforms.
The adidas Samba OG 'Real Madrid' is a multipurpose lifestyle sneaker that prioritises sophisticated style over ostentatious fandom.
The base is a crisp Cloud White leather upper. Real Madrid's illustrious reputation and countless triumphs are symbolised by the Light Solid Grey Three Stripes and heel details, as well as delicate gold accents.
The tongue proudly displays the Real Madrid crest in full colour. It keeps the well-liked Samba silhouette, which is distinguished by its classic gum rubber outsole for superior stability and grip, soft leather upper, and suede T-toe overlay.
The gold 'SAMBA' text on the side adds a bit of vintage branding.
The adidas Samba 'Real Madrid' is in stores now for US$110 (~RM467) and can be purchased through adidas's official website.

David Beckham and Gary Oldman awarded knighthoods
LONDON: Former England soccer captain David Beckham and actor Gary Oldman were knighted in King Charles' annual birthday honours list on Saturday, while sculptor Antony Gormley was made a Companion of Honour. Beckham, 50, joined Manchester United as a trainee in 1993, going on to make almost 400 appearances for the club where he won a string of titles and cups. He subsequently played for Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, and Inter Milan, as well as captaining his country 58 times and making 115 appearances. His marriage to fashion designer and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham in 1999 cemented a celebrity status which went far beyond his sporting exploits. Oldman, 67, started his career on the stage, where he was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, before rising to prominence in film. He won the best actor Oscar for playing Winston Churchill in the 2017 drama 'Darkest Hour'. He also had roles in the 'Dark Knight Trilogy' and the 'Harry Potter' movie series and more recently starred in the TV spy drama 'Slow Horses'. Other famous names receiving honours included damehoods for musical theatre star Elaine Paige, novelist Pat Barker and ceramics maker Emma Bridgewater. Roger Daltrey, lead singer of rock band the Who and a patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust, received a knighthood for services to charity. More than 1,200 people received honours for their achievements, with a particular focus on those who had given their time to public service, the government said. King Charles' official birthday will be celebrated with the annual 'Trooping the Colour' military parade in London on Saturday. His actual birthday is on November 14.

Excessive financial demands scuppered pre-Club World Cup signings: Al-Hilal CEO
RIYADH: Al-Hilal CEO Esteve Calzada said they were confident in their Club World Cup squad's strength despite failing to secure any big names in the tournament's build-up, adding that talks with several targets collapsed due to excessive financial demands. The Riyadh-based club, backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, parted ways with marquee signing Neymar earlier this year, but still boasts prominent players including Ruben Neves, Joao Cancelo, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. However, unlike Real Madrid who bolstered their squad with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Manchester City, who added Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki, Al-Hilal made no major European acquisitions during the tournament's designated transfer window. The club's most notable addition ahead of Wednesday's opening match against Real Madrid in Miami was Italian manager Simone Inzaghi, appointed earlier this month. "This is the first time we've faced this transfer window... It's been difficult for us to find our bearings, including finding the right coach (Inzaghi) who could take charge of the team for the tournament," Calzada told Spanish daily Marca in an interview published yesterday. "We operate with a budget that we have to meet, and it's true that sometimes some players or agents don't understand that... There's been a lot of activity, but in the end we haven't made any deals." Asked about the challenges they faced in the mini transfer window, given the club's reputation for big spending, the CEO said players were demanding too much money. "Firstly, because we have a lot of confidence in our team, and secondly, because the circumstances haven't been right, including the fact that some people have gone crazy with the fees they're asking for; they think we can reach any figure," he added. "Truly, what a player can earn in Saudi Arabia will always be much more than what they can earn in Europe. But clearly, we don't have unlimited resources, nor do we print money. "In fact, we've missed out on opportunities to sign players precisely because they believed money was inexhaustible, and we have to manage the club sustainably and on reasonable terms."
