BSF arrests 4 peddlers, seizes heroin, arms and ammunition
In Tarn Taran district, BSF troops recovered a plastic bottle near Dal village, apparently dropped by a drone drop, containing pistol parts and four live rounds of ammunition. The operation was launched after specific intelligence from BSF's internal wing.
On Saturday, BSF personnel observed drone activity and apprehended a smuggler hiding in a brick kiln near Bachiwind village in Amritsar. 'One pistol, two magazines and 10 live rounds of ammunition were seized. The smuggler, a resident of Gandhiwind village, was believed to be collecting a drone-dropped consignment,' a BSF spokesperson said.
In a separate operation in Ferozepur district, BSF troops, acting on reliable input, apprehended three drug peddlers from a field near Naubheram village. Their interrogation led to the recovery of a packet of heroin, weighing 500 grams.
A BSF spokesperson said these operations expose the nefarious activities of Pakistani terror syndicates.

Pahalgam attack: Days after the three terrorists involved in the devastating Pahalgam attack were eliminated under Operation Mahadev, security agencies have gathered documents including biometric data, confirming that they were Pakistani nationals, officials said on Monday. As per the evidence collected, none of the slain terrorists were locals, confirmed officials, reported PTI. The documents collected by the security agencies which helped officials confirm the Pakistani nationality of the terrorists include: biometric records of Pakistan's National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), voter identity slips issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan digital satellite phone data, including logs and GPS waypoints Not just the voter slips and other documents, personal items were also discovered that offered more clues to their identities — including candy wrappers from 'CandyLand' and 'ChocoMax', both popular Pakistani brands made in Karachi. Officials also said that the post-encounter investigation, including ballistics weapon-to-cartridge match and statements of two detained Kashmiri helpers, further corroborated the terrorists' involvement in the Pahalgam attack. The slain terrorists were identified as Suleman Shah alias "Faizal Jatt", an A category terrorist, mastermind and lead shooter; his close associate Abu Hamza alias 'Afghan', an A-grade commander and the second gunman; and Yasir alias 'Jibran', also an A-grade commander and the third gunman. All the three slain terrorists had their addresses in Kasur distirct's Changa Manga and Koiyan village near Rawalakot, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The officials said the NADRA-linked Smart-ID chips – a micro-SD recovered from a damaged sat-phone contained the NADRA biometric records (fingerprints, facial template, family tree) of all three men — traced their addresses to those regions. While speaking at the Lok Sabha last week, Home Minister Amit Shah said that Operation Mahadev involved the questioning of around 1055 individuals within a span of over three hours. "Based on the inputs gathered, composite sketches were prepared. Subsequently, on June 22, two individuals — Bashir and Parvez — were identified as those who had harboured the terrorists,' said Shah.

Former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina's Dhaka Home To Turn Into Museum
New Delhi: Once a heavily guarded Prime Minister's home, Gana Bhavan, the former official residence of Bangladesh's ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina is being turned into a museum. It is likely to be called the July Revolution Memorial Museum. The VIP complex with facilities required for a leader to conduct official duties was built by Sheikh Hasina's father, the first leader of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and Sheikha Hasina made it her official residence during her 15 years in power. The place was known as the Estate Rajbari during the British and Pakistani-rule and was the palace of the Maharajas of Dighapatia. The Bangladesh Government was using the palace as the official residence of the head of the government of Bangladesh. The interim government led by Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus had announced the plan to turn Sheikh Hasina's family residence, 'Ganabhaban' (People's House) into a museum representing her "misrule". The July Revolution Memorial Museum will be inaugurated on August 5 on the anniversary of the toppling of the Sheikh Hasina government as the work of the museum is nearing completion. The premises are located in the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka, just minutes away from the national parliament complex. The current facility was completed in1984. Sheikh Hasina moved into the Ganabhaban on 6 March 2010, more than a year after she had been elected and it remained her home till August 5 last year. Gana Bhavan was looted by a violent mob that had arrived at its gates with an intention to kill Sheikh Hasina, minutes after she had left the place and fled the country on August 5. Practically everything was looted from the residence including sarees, decorative items, clocks, sofas, luxury handbags, television sets, fish, and even women's underwear. The images of the looting had flooded social media leading to viral memes. Later authorities claimed many of the looted items were returned. The unruly and violent mob had stormed the premises amidst anger against Hasina accusing her of ordering killings and heading a fascist regime. The museum will have artefacts of the protesters killed during the violence last year and graffiti on the wall by protesters will also remain. Bangaldesh's Ministry of Cultural Affairs has proposed the creation of nearly 200 positions for the operation and management of the museum. The museum will officially open for the public once it receives final approval from the authorities overseeing its creation.
