Aamir Ali on rumoured girlfriend Ankita Kukreti: She is currently the closest person to me

Hindustan Times28-04-2025

Aamir Ali hit the headlines earlier this year as the actor confessed to having found love again in his life. He posted an Insta story later on, claiming that his words were misconstrued. However, at a Holi party this year, the buzz got stronger as he was spotted with his rumoured girlfriend actor Ankita Kukreti.
Mention her and Aamir shares that they actually met as professional collaborators for a song they recently did. Ask him about the viral Holi picture that got the internet buzzing and he says, 'She was the mystery girl for some time, and that was fun. And the best was the way they had shot us together, and then it went viral. Logon ka kaam hai, they can and will always speculate.'
While the 43-year-old doesn't admit to dating Ankita, he does tease about it. 'Abhi I am not denying anything, but she is very close to me. In fact, she is currently the closest person to me. She's a pretty girl and is starting her career in the industry. We are very close to each other, and that's about it,' he says.
Aamir, who was earlier married to actor Sanjeeda Sheikh, insists that he is open to have love in his life again. 'I am not against finding love. And couple of hurdles in life won't stop me from finding or falling in love again,' says the actor, who married got married in 2012 and separated in 2020, with their divorce finalising the year later. They have a seven year old daughter Ayra.

Aamir Khan (60) opens up on romancing Genelia D'Souza (37) in Sitaare Zameen Par: ‘That thought did come to me'

Bollywood star Aamir Khan, 60, is all set to share screen space with Genelia D'Souza, 37, in their upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par. Interestingly, it was Aamir who introduced Genelia to Bollywood opposite his nephew Imran Khan in Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. Now, the actor has opened up about romancing her on screen despite their 23-year age gap, in an interview with The Indian Express. (Also Read: Genelia D'Souza recalls being discouraged from making comeback to films after 10 years: 'I was told it won't work') When asked if he was ever concerned about the age difference between himself and Genelia, Aamir said, "Ya, I know. But that was a long time ago. And ab Imran bhi kaafi meri age ka ho gaya hai (laughs). That thought did come to me, but in the film, we're both playing characters in the age group of early 40s. She's around that age." He added, "I'm 60, but in today's day and age, we have the advantage of VFX. Earlier, if I played an 18-year-old, I had to rely on prosthetics. Like Anil Kapoor did in Eeshwar (1989). He was very young, but he played an 80-year-old for Christ's sake. He was jumping his age, which is very exciting for an actor. Today, he can be made to look 80 and vice versa via VFX. So, age is not a barrier for actors anymore." The sports comedy-drama is a spiritual sequel to Aamir's 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. Directed by RS Prasanna, best known for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the film stars Genelia as Aamir's wife, alongside 10 debutant actors: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. A remake of the Spanish film Campeones, the film features Aamir as a basketball coach forced to train a team of differently-abled children for a tournament. It is slated to release in cinemas on 20 June.

Aishwarya Rai dazzles, Aamir Khan disappoints? Rare clip of duo dancing to DDLJ song sparks reactions

Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai has mesmerised audiences over the years with her graceful dance moves in songs like Nimbuda, Kajra Re, and more. Now, an old video of her dancing to Shah Rukh Khan's iconic track Tujhe Dekha To from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, alongside Aamir Khan, has resurfaced online—and fans can't stop gushing over how good the duo looks together. (Also Read: We bet you haven't seen these vintage pics of Aishwarya Rai from 90s: 'God really was partial to her') The clip shows Aishwarya and Aamir dancing on stage, with Aishwarya dazzling in a pink lehenga-choli and Aamir sporting a jacket with denim jeans. The two are seen recreating the magic of the beloved romantic number Tujhe Dekha To from DDLJ with charming chemistry. The exact timeline of the event where the two performed together remains unclear. While some fans gushed about how good they looked together, others felt that Aishwarya carried the performance single-handedly, criticising Aamir's dancing skills. One of the comments read, 'They look so good together. Should've worked in a movie together.' Another said, 'The dress and the colour are so good! Also, all the ads they did for the soft drink brands—they looked dope and had very addictive chemistry. I wanted more of Aish with Aamir.' Criticising Aamir's dancing, one Reddit user wrote, 'He looks so awkward.' Another said, 'Aamir seems so uninterested.' A third commented, 'Aishwarya carrying the performance on her back,' while someone else remarked, 'Aamir is the second-worst dancer after Ajay among the '90s stars.' Another added, 'Damn, Aishwarya doing the mostest.' While Aishwarya has delivered hits with Shah Rukh Khan in Devdas, Mohabbatein, and with Salman Khan in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, she has never shared screen space with Aamir Khan. Aamir will next be seen in the film Sitaare Zameen Par, which also stars Genelia Deshmukh in the lead role. Directed by R.S. Prasanna, the film is a remake of the Spanish film Campeones and features Aamir as a basketball coach training a team of differently-abled children. The sports comedy-drama is scheduled for theatrical release on 20 June. Aishwarya, on the other hand, is yet to announce his new project after Ponniyin Selvan II.

Actor Amol Parashar on dating rumours with Konkona Sen: Nobody asked me; instead all started bringing their assumptions

Actors Konkona Sen Sharma, 45, and Amol Parashar, 38, are rumoured to be in a relationship. And what added fuel to the fire was their first public appearance together at the screening of Amol's web series. Addressing the speculation for the first time, Amol tells us, 'Nobody asked me. Instead, everyone started bringing their assumptions to the table. Earlier, I would react to every news, but now I have learnt to just move on. Agar kuch hoga aur mujhe share karna hoga, toh I will share it on social media myself.' The actor adds: 'See, you have people in life. Kisi se aap close hote hain, aur kisi se aap zyaada close hote hain. Naming every relation is not necessary... Aap khush, samne waala khush aur gharwale khush, that's it!' Amol recalls a similar situation with his Sardar Udham (2021) co-actor Vicky Kaushal, who was dating actor Katrina Kaif while shooting for the film and got married to her in December 2021. 'I remember something similar happening with Vicky, and I was like: 'Bhai, bata do sabko because people are asking me'. And he was like: 'I will, at the right time',' Amol explains. While he is content with his career trajectory with two back to back OTT releases with him in the lead, he's amused how his personal life has earned him more attention: 'Logon ko mazaa aa raha hai. Aap karlo kitni bhi acting, views link-up news ko hi milte hain.' Prod him for his views on marriage, and Amol says his mum would pressure him initially, but not anymore: 'Kuch bhi ho sakta hai. I love surprising myself, and my family knows that. Agar shaadi hogi, toh I, too, will post it on Insta (laughs), as that's what matters to everyone. But as of now, I have nothing to talk about.' On the work front Amol is back on stage after a decade. 'It's after ten years I am back to theatre and it's the first time doing a solo play called Besharam Aadmi. Already done seven shows. Also my character dies in Kull: The Legacy of the Raisingghs but in the other series I am very much alive so there are chances of Gram Chikatsalay to be back with part 2."
