Paddling pool that's perfect for the hot weather slashed to just £10 from £20 at major chain

The Sun30-04-2025

PARENTS have gone wild for the perfect £10 paddling pool as temperatures soar.
Families are racing to get their hands on the fun garden activity after it was slashed in price down from £20.
The Bestway Rectangular Paddling Pool, from Argos, offers plenty of room for little ones to splash about in.
It's a whopping seven-foot in length - or alternatively a nine-footer can be picked up for £17.50 down from £35.
The incredible deal was shared by a savvy shopper in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group.
She wrote: "Not sure if helpful to anyone but these pools are reduced in Argos, we were able to click and collect 9ft one straight away! Kind of underestimates the size of it in my tine garden haha but kids will love it."
Meanwhile someone else was gutted to miss out on the deal.
"I just bought one full price!" They moaned.
If this paddling pool doesn't take your fancy, another mum found a bargain in Smyths.
The best part is you don't have to blow it up, dogs can't pop it and it folds down tiny for storage.
Liv took to her TikTok page to post a video raving about the £64.99 Portable Folding Pool she nabbed from her local Smyths Toy Superstores.
I'm mum in one of the world's cheapest families - we wash our crocks in the paddling pool and have barely any furniture, but have saved almost £24k
In the clip, she showed how easy it was to put the pool up - unfolding it from the box and pulling out the stands attached to the sides for added stability.
Liv was then seen filling the pool up, before adding some inflatables and a kids' slide for her daughter to enjoy in the water.
" Highly recommend!" she captioned her video.
"No dogs popping it, no blowing it up & deflating it - literally open it up and fold it back down!"
In another video, Liv responded to people questioning how "sturdy" the pool is, as she demonstrated by giving it a push.
While she could push the sides inwards a little, it wasn't enough to cause any water to flow out of the pool.
Whereas from the inside, the sides were impossible to push outwards.
Keep bugs out of your pool this summer
One of the easiest ways to keep bugs out of your pool is to cover it with a dark sheet (like bin bags) when it's not in use.
This can also help keep the water warm for kids as well.
Bug traps around the pool can also be useful.
To naturally stop bugs from coming around you can plant such as lavender, basil or mint as they hate the smell.
Meanwhile, shoppers hunting for a paddling pool more suitable for tots found the perfect fit in Argos.
And, the hot weather essential is scanning for 50 percent off.
Priced at as little as £7.50 - down from £15 - Argos's kids paddling pool holds up to 26 litres and takes just 5 minutes to inflate.
The Bestway 3ft Sunny Days Shade Paddling Pool is flying off shelves as parents rush to nab the "soft" inflatable pool in time for this week's hike in temperature.
Measuring 101x97x20cm, it's designed for children over the age of 2 under the direct supervision of an adult.
It also has a UV sunshade providing a safe space for kids to splash around in out of the sun.
Delighted parents have called the paddling pool "great value for money" with one saying it makes for some "really cute photos".
One said: "Loved this for our one year old, sun shade and low level water was perfect."
Whilst another added: "I was lucky enough to get this in the sale and I'm so pleased with it.
It comes as temperatures soared to highs of 26C today.
Thousands of sunseekers packed out parks and beaches to bask in the sunshine.
And temperatures are set to rise even more when the mercury hits 29C in parts tomorrow.

Bride and groom's risqué act in front of wedding guests leaves internet stunned

A bride and groom have left the internet stunned over their risqué act in front of their wedding guests. Haley Finch posted a video of her husband, Austin, removing her garter during their wedding reception to TikTok earlier this, and the sultry interaction quickly went viral. The bride sat in a chair in the middle of the dance floor, while Austin knelt in front of her. He then used his teeth to pull the garter off her leg - which sat high on her thigh. Haley seemed to be enjoying the moment, as she opened her mouth wide with surprise before laughing. But people on the web were shocked by the racy moment... especially since it happened in front of the couple's entire families and friends. 'Absolutely not in public?' one surprised user wrote. 'In front of the WHOLE FAMILY? You're strong,' another person shared. Haley Finch posted a video of her husband, Austin, removing her garter during their wedding reception to TikTok earlier this, and the sultry interaction quickly went viral 'That whole garter thing makes me uncomfortable. We skipped it in our wedding,' someone else revealed, while a fourth said, 'Yeah I am NOT doing the garter removal at my wedding.' A fifth comment read: 'My mom would faint.' 'This should only be done in private after the wedding,' a different viewer said. 'In front of my parents? I WOULD HAVE DIED,' announced someone else. 'I would be so embarrassed...' another person shared. 'Doing this in front of family will never not be weird to me,' admitted one user. Other comments read: 'I think my parents would legitimately have a heart attack,' 'The honeymoon is supposed to be at a different location,' and, 'Dude, this is a wedding, not your bedroom.' However, a few people encouraged the act and defended the couple. One wrote: 'It's a leg, they are MARRIED. People need to relax. It's a normal tradition at the wedding. And it was THEIR WEDDING. Don't like it? Scroll.' A garter is a piece of lingerie that some brides wear under their wedding gowns. It's a longstanding tradition for the bride and groom to do a 'garter toss,' where the man removes the bride's garter in a flirty manner with either his hands or teeth, per Maggie Sottero. The garter is then tossed into a group of single men - and whoever catches it is named the winner, and it's believed he will be the next one who will marry. A wedding garter symbolizes love and luck for your wedding guests as well as being a fun and cheeky tradition.
