Following the main programme, Anwar held a closed-door meeting with Negeri Sembilan PKR division heads at the same hotel.
Fuziah, when met, said the programme is part of a nationwide tour aimed at strengthening party solidarity and reuniting grassroots leadership across the country.
The Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living added that the meeting with division leaders included all division heads in the state, whether winners or losers in the party's recent internal elections.

'We want to bring everyone back together, because there's a lot of work to be done. We are not fighting enemies—we are having disputes among siblings. Therefore, unity and togetherness are crucial to move the party forward,' she said.
On another note, Fuziah said the PKR president also stressed that there is no issue of membership suspension involving nine of its Members of Parliament.
She said the Prime Minister explained that the matter does not arise as all the MPs were merely voicing their views on people's issues.

Anwar commends swift response to powerful Russia quake

KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed relief that no serious casualties or widespread damage had been reported following the massive earthquake off Russia's far eastern coast. In his Facebook post today, he also commended the swift action of early‑warning systems and emergency responders who moved quickly to protect lives. 'The massive earthquake off Russia's far eastern coast, among the strongest ever recorded, has been a cause for deep concern. 'Like many, I watched the tsunami warnings across the Pacific with a heavy heart, knowing how much was at stake for communities from Kamchatka to Japan, Guam and beyond. 'My thoughts remain with all those who spent anxious hours waiting for news and I hope the danger has passed for good,' he said. The massive quake has triggered tsunami warnings for millions of people across the Pacific, including in Japan, the United States and Mexico. Hours after the quake rocked Russia's Far East, there were no reports of major damage on Wednesday. In many regions, tsunami warnings were lifted or downgraded. The main quake, which hit at about 11:24 am on Wednesday (2324 GMT Tuesday), was recorded by the US Geological Survey (USGS) at magnitude 8.8 — the strongest globally since Japan's Fukushima disaster in March 2011, and one of the six most powerful earthquakes ever measured. Russian authorities reported a magnitude of 8.7. — Bernama

13MP: TVET Gets A Big Boost

KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 (Bernama) -- Governance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) will be strengthened through the establishment of a dedicated TVET Commission to regulate TVET institutions and monitor strategies and initiatives under the National TVET Policy. According to the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) document released by the Ministry of Economy today, a study will also be conducted on drafting a TVET Act to improve the governance of skills-based education. 'The level of skills certification under the Malaysian Skills Certification System will be expanded through amendments to the National Skills Development Act 2006 to elevate TVET as a pathway equal to the academic route within the national higher education system. 'In addition, an institutional TVET rating system will be developed to ensure programme quality is aligned with industry needs and to facilitate optimal allocation of resources,' the document said. The document also said that TVET programmes will continue to be strengthened in line with industry requirements and programme offerings will take into account investment based on high-growth, high-value (HGHV) industries as well as strategic and advanced technology sectors. 'These efforts will support talent development needs in strategic investment areas such as the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP), and the Kerian Integrated Green Industrial Park (KIGIP). 'Collaboration between public TVET institutions and industry will be intensified through sharing of expertise and the latest technologies, including AI, as well as curriculum development and upskilling and reskilling programmes for TVET educators,' the document stated. It further notes that TVET programme offerings will be extended to tahfiz and huffaz students in order to elevate TVET as a tahfiz platform. Meanwhile, lifelong learning (LLL) will be enhanced in preparation for an ageing nation by 2043, with LLL programmes for the third-age population to be offered through the concept of Third Age Universities.
