The Dons faced off against their Glasgow opponents in a Premier Sports Cup semi, which the Hoops went on to win 6-0.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that qualified seafarer Argo shouted towards the Celtic fans abuse such as "f***ing fenian b******s."
He also said: "f***ing paedo fenian b******s", "f***ing fenian weegie c***s," and "I will kill you f***ing paedo."
Argo, of Aberdeen, pleaded guilty today to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner which was stated to be a hate crime.

Darren Fleming, defending, told the court that Argo - whose dad was a volunteer with Aberdeen FC - failed in his attempt to get an absolute discharge which would see the offence not appear on his client's criminal record.
The solicitor advocate stated that Argo got "caught up in what he considered to be football banter."
The lawyer added that his client - now a former season ticket holder - has attended two further games between the two clubs without incident.
Sheriff Jonathan Guy ordered delivery driver Argo to do 45 hours of unpaid work.

But he did not impose a football banning order.
The sheriff said: "There is a clear need to punish people to deter them from offending in this manner

"The fact you were intoxicated is an aggravating factor.
"You said these things near opposing fans which could have caused a possible very serious incident - your culpability is high."

Dundee United heartache as Rapid Vienna win on penalties
The Taysiders returned from Austria with a morale-boosting 2-2 draw from the first leg of the third qualifying round and Max Watters, on loan from Barnsley, had a packed Tannadice in raptures when he headed the home side in front after 25 minutes for three goals in three games. Dundee United crashed out of the Conference League on a penalty shoot-out after surrendering a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Rapid Vienna at Tannadice. Watters grabbed his second with a penalty three minutes before the break but Rapid striker Janis Antiste reduced the deficit in the 63rd minute with United defender Iurie Iovu involved in the ball finding the net. Half-time substitute Ercan Kara levelled in the 77th minute to take an open game into extra-time and then penalties, where United substitute Amar Fatah hit the post, the only miss as the visitors triumphed 5-4. There was no lack of effort from Jim Goodwin's men, who will regroup to take on Kilmarnock at Rugby Park in the Premier Sports Cup on Sunday, knowing that they have European experience to draw upon. It was an exhausting evening which began with both teams flying at each other from kick off. United's Vicko Sevelj tested Rapid keeper Niklas Hedl with a drive and Watters missed a chance from a Ivan Dolcek cross, heading wide. For Rapid, Antiste broke through the United defence and his low drive was pushed behind by United keeper Yevhenii Kucherenko for a corner which was comfortably defended before the striker hit the side netting with a speculative shot on the turn. The game turned in the Taysiders' favour when Watters, who missed the William Hill Premiership defeat by Hearts at the weekend with a bug, was picked out by stand-in captain Will Ferry's cross to the centre of the goals and he steered a header back across Hedl and into the net.
