Attorney General heads King's honours list
His Majesty bestowed the Darjah Panglima Mangku Negara (PMN) award upon Mohd Dusuki, 58. The award carries the 'Tan Sri' title.
Also conferred the PMN was Chief of Defence Force General Tan Sri Mohd Nizam Jaffar.
Darjah Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM), which also carries the 'Tan Sri' title, was conferred upon Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Hasnah Mohammed Hashim, Navy Commander Tan Sri Zulhelmy Ithnain, and Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay.
Prime Minister's Department Senior Deputy Secretary-General Datuk Abd Shukor Mahmood and the Attorney General's Chambers Legal Division head Datuk Donald Joseph Franklin were among five individuals awarded the Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN), which carries the 'Datuk' title.
Other recipients were Public Service Deputy Director-General (Development) Datuk Dr Mohd Bakhari Ismail, Treasury Deputy Secretary-General (Management) Datuk Ramzi Mansor, and Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Datuk Dr Simon Jerome Vendargon.
The Johan Mangku Negara (JMN) award was conferred upon the Education Service Commission Secretary, Md Radzi Hashim, the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) Director-General, Abdul Shukur Abdullah, and the Digital Ministry's Deputy Secretary-General (Digital Development), Ma. Sivanesan Marimuthu @ Muthiah.
Other recipients were Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Export Acceleration) of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Abu Bakar Yusof, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs) at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Prof Dr Mohd Sazili Shahibi, and Head of Equity Department, Investment Division at the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Lim Tze Seong.
Four individuals received the Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM) award, namely Deputy Director-General (Development) of the Public-Private Partnership Unit (UKAS) Chek Zainuddin Chek Jusoh, Secretary of the Technology Transfer and Commercialisation (R&D) Division at the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry Boniface Edwin Manung, Deputy Director-General (Business) of the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) Mohd Hadzmir Yusoff, and Secretary of the Strategic Planning Division at the Higher Education Ministry Fazidah Mustafa.
Meanwhile, Malaysia's Ambassador to China, Datuk Norman Muhamad, Malaysia's Ambassador to Indonesia, Datuk Syed Md Hasrin Tengku Hussin and Dewan Rakyat Secretary, Dr Nizam Mydin Bacha Mydin, received the Darjah Johan Setia Diraja (JSD) honours.
National Paralympic badminton athlete and Malaysia's first gold medallist at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, Cheah Liek Hou, was among 14 recipients accorded the Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN) award.
The Bintang Kesatria Setia Diraja (KSD) was awarded to the Principal Assistant Secretary of the Management Unit, Ceremonial and International Conference Secretariat Division, Syed Zaqwanariff Zainudin, and Chief Security Officer of the Security Division at Istana Negara, ASP Mohd Fairouz Hamdi Mohd Yamin.
Sixteen individuals were conferred the Bintang Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN) medal, including Tan Lee Bee, the sign language interpreter at the Federal Court of Malaysia. Additionally, 45 individuals received the Pingat Pangkuan Negara (PPN) medal, and the Pingat Bentara Setia Diraja (BSD) was awarded to three people.
The sole recipient of Bintang Jasa Perkasa Persekutuan (JPP) was Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) personnel Lieutenant Commander Mohd Firdaus Arbaain, who rescued four victims, including two children, from drowning in an incident involving a tourist boat at Teluk Batik, Perak, in August 2023.
In conjunction with Sultan Ibrahim's official birthday, 116 individuals were conferred the 2025 federal awards, medals and honours this year.

SSM North Zone InfoSession Enhances Governance, Compliance Literacy
GENERAL BUTTERWORTH, July 31 (Bernama) -- The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) organised the 2025 SSM North Zone InfoSession Programme today to strengthen governance, enhance compliance literacy and support the development of a more transparent and sustainable business ecosystem. It said that the programme, attended by over 200 participants from various government agencies, local authorities, the corporate sector and individuals involved in business data management and regulation compliance, was also used as a platform to introduce SSM's three latest products. 'They are the Electronic Beneficial Ownership System (e-BOS) - a system for updating beneficial ownership information as required under the Companies Act 2016 and the Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP) Act 2012 - as well as e-Advertisement, which is the official platform for advertising statutory information for companies and LLPs, including notices of appointment, dismissal, changes in information or company closure. 'These services enhance transparency, speed up processes and reduce costs. The third product is the Company Secretary Information Data (CSID) - a comprehensive search tool for information on the credentials, Practising Certificate and professional status of registered company secretaries,' it said in a statement today. The SSM said that in addition to a briefing session related to the provision of corporate information and interest schemes, participants were also introduced to various SSM digital services, such as MyData-SSM, SSM Search, SafeData SSM and SSM e-info, which are aimed at helping users access valid and up-to-date business data. It also said that based on SSM statistics up to June 30, a total of 1,619,700 companies have been incorporated, 9,520,598 businesses and 43,301 LLPs have been registered nationwide, and from the total, 693,619 companies, 1,692,266 businesses and 38,567 LLPs are active. 'As for Penang, 105,225 companies have been incorporated and 686,739 businesses and 2,621 LLPs have been registered with SSM for the same period. Of the total, 48,151 companies, 123,493 businesses and 2,277 LLPs are active,' it said. Meanwhile, SSM chief executive officer Datuk Nor Azimah Abdul Aziz said at the closing ceremony that corporate information provided by SSM is not merely data, but a strategic asset that forms the basis for important decisions by investors, business owners, financial institutions and the public. 'Programmes like the SSM InfoSession are crucial for showing that the provision and use of corporate information is no longer a choice, but a necessity. Bintai Kinden's FY2025 financial statements deemed 'true and fair' by external auditor
KUALA LUMPUR: Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd says its audited financial statements for the financial year ended March 31, 2025 (FY25) have been deemed true and fair by its external auditors HLB Ler Lum Chew PLT. In a statement today, Bintai Kinden said the assessment was made despite a technical qualification concerning figures from the previous year. Bintai Kinden said the technical qualification stems from the auditors' inability to obtain sufficient evidence regarding opening balances for liabilities, trade receivables and contract assets from FY24. As a result, the auditors could not determine whether adjustments were necessary to FY2025's profit or loss and retained earnings. Crucially, the qualification does not relate to FY25 transactions, and the auditors confirmed the financial statements otherwise present a true and fair view of the group's current financial position. Bintai Kinden reiterated that the issue raised pertains only to legacy balances and does not reflect any material misstatements relating to FY25's accounts. The company has since undertaken corrective measures to enhance financial transparency and accountability. Bintai Kinden managing director cum chief executive officer Datuk Tay Chor Han said while the audit qualification reflects a technical issue relating to past records, it does not take away from the progress the company made this year. "Our focus remains on restoring profitability, strengthening governance, and regaining investor confidence," he added. Bintai Kinden said it has already begun seeing the fruits of its restructuring. As of June 30, 2025, the group's unbilled construction order book stood at RM128.61 million, providing strong earnings visibility. The mechanical and electrical (M&E) division is also expected to contribute positively in the current year, following the resolution of a dispute with Tenaga Nasional Bhd. With the regularisation plan fully implemented on May 21, 2025, and a clearer financial footing in FY25, the company is optimistic about being uplifted from PN17 status in the current financial year.
