The Chase fans rip into 'worst final they've ever seen' - but can YOU answer the questions that saw 'shocking' player eliminated in just 20 seconds?

The Chase viewers were left unimpressed after what many dubbed the 'worst final ever' aired on ITV, with one contestant eliminated in just 20 seconds. The British quiz show, hosted by Bradley Walsh, 65, features four contestants who have to work as a team to answer general knowledge questions. They must defeat the Chaser, a ruthless quiz genius, to win the cash prize, with the maximum amount that can be won for a single player being £100,000. But during a recent instalment, Chaser Mark Labbett, also known as The Beast, 59, needed just five questions to knock out solo finalist Nicola. Viewers were stunned as Nicola, the last contestant standing, was quickly dispatched in one of the show's shortest final chases ever - but could you have answered all five questions correctly? Earlier in the episode, Nicola scraped through after a weak performance in the cash builder round, earning just £2,000 - compared to teammates Casey's £5,000 and Ian's £8,000. However, both Casey and Ian were eliminated before the final round, leaving Nicola to face The Beast alone. Despite her determination, Nicola only managed to answer four questions correctly in her two-minute final chase, earning a total of five points, including her one-point head start. Before the round began, she admitted she had a 'feeling she'd be caught' - and she was right. Mark got all five questions correct in just 20 seconds, ending the game with a whopping 1 minute and 40 seconds still on the clock. Firstly, Bradley asked the star: 'What type of fashion accessory is a trilby?', Matt proceeded to answer the question correctly with 'hat' before they moved on to the second question. Bradley then asked Mark: 'Eric 'Butterbean' Esch has 58 KOs in what sport?' to which he replied 'boxing'. And for the third question, Mark was asked: 'Zodiac and Consul were brands by which carmaker?' Mark quickly answered with 'Ford' before Bradley asked him the following question: 'James Collinson was a member of which artistic brotherhood?' Viewers were stunned as Nicola, the last contestant standing, was quickly dispatched in one of the show's shortest final chases ever - but could you have answered all five questions correctly? Whizzing through all the answers in just 15 seconds, Mark confidently confirmed the answer was Pre-Raphaelite. Meanwhile, the final question which caught Nicola out was: 'Frosch' is the German word for what amphibian?' With plenty of time on the clock remaining, Mark confidently answered the question with 'Frog'. And just like that, Nicola was out - and viewers were left cringing, dubbing the episode as the show's 'worst final ever'. Viewers took to social media to vent, with one writing: 'I actually feel dumber from watching that episode (face palm emoji).'; 'That was the worst team I've ever seen.'; 'Never ever have I seen such a failure... 2k in the pot! ... Only 5 questions to be answered!'; Others echoed: 'Done in 20 seconds! Shocking.'; 'Shocking final chase.'

Inside Strictly's new signing Vicky Pattison's years-long feud with ITV star who she branded ‘entitled little rat'

But arguably her most famous Tango was a years-long feud with fellow reality TV alum Sam Thompson. But they've also clashed a number of times in the past. It all kicked off in 2017 when Geordie Shore legend Vicky criticised Sam's sister, Louise Thompson, over her working out on holiday. Made In Chelsea star Sam then hit back in a video of his own, saying only he was allowed to mock his sister. The war of words quickly escalated and Vicky responded by blocking Sam on social media – a block that would last for five years. In that time, things only got frostier when Sam appeared on Celebrity Big Brother. Viewers saw him get upset after he was warned in the Diary Room for flicking fellow housemate Jemma Lucy's nipple. Vicky, appearing on Big Brother's Bit on the Side, pulled no punches. Speaking about the incident to Rylan, she slammed his behaviour and said: 'I think there are two ways to look at this. "One, he got upset because he knew it was a joke, Jemma knew it was a joke and he didn't mean any offence by it. I'm A Celebrity winner Vicky Pattison revealed as latest Strictly signing a year after best pal took part "Secondly, because he's an entitled little rat who is used to always getting what he wants.' The 'rat' remark ensured the feud had well and truly taken root. Despite having a mutual friend in Towie's Pete Wicks – who is Vicky's best mate and later became one of Sam's closest pals – the two reality stars stayed firmly out of each other's way. Vicky only lifted the block on Sam in 2022 after they unexpectedly bumped into each other at a Harry Potter premiere. But while both became close friends with Pete, they were rarely in the same room at the same time. One of the few occasions came when Vicky went to watch the live tour of Sam and Pete's podcast, Staying Relevant, at London's Hammersmith venue. But even that didn't go smoothly – she was turned away by security at first because her bag was too big. When she finally did appear on Staying Relevant in May this year, the awkward history was addressed. Vicky admitted she had blocked him all those years ago, while Sam said: 'I had no idea, until we met each other and I tried to find you on the app.' The trio laughed if off, with both appearing to have put the feud firmly behind them. Sources close to Vicky now insist the pair are friends. And with Vicky now following in Pete's footsteps by signing up for Strictly, it's likely he'll be seen front row cheering her on. FEUD OVER LOUISE It all went south when Vicky commented on Louise's fitness clips in her magazine column in 2017. Chatting to Now magazine about Louise's videos with personal trainer boyfriend Ryan Libbey, Vicky joked: "I tell you what, you won't catch me doing anything like that. Louise is getting a lot of column inches, but I find her brother Sam more entertaining. "I always thought he was a bit wet on Made In Chelsea, but he's hilarious. Nobody can dispute Louise is in amazing nick and her fella looks like The Hulk. But doing that on holiday with a camera crew? It's not achievable or attainable. She looks incredible, but I couldn't imagine anything worse." It prompted a defensive video from Sam at the time. He later recounted the incident to The Sun's Bizarre column, and revealed: "Vicky took the p*** out of my sister doing a work-out video on Instagram. "Vicky was quite harsh to Louise so I commented back, but she didn't read it and instead unfollowed me on Instagram." Vicky's rep has been contacted for comment. 7 Vicky is set to wow on the Strictly dance floor Credit: Instagram 7 She sparked a feud years ago with Sam when she dished out her opinion on his sister working out on holiday Credit: Splash News

Piers Morgan reveals original Britain's Got Talent line-up before Amanda Holden replaced ITV star

Piers Morgan reveals original Britain's Got Talent line-up before Amanda Holden replaced ITV star Britain's Got Talent is set to return to ITV later this year for its 19th season, and Piers Morgan has shared a snap of the original judging line-up for the first show The first Britain's Got Talent aired in 2007 (Image: ITV) Piers Morgan has posted a nostalgic photograph from the pilot episode of Britain's Got Talent featuring the original judging panel. ‌ The ITV talent competition is approaching its 19th series this year, and has featured numerous celebrities on the judging panel throughout its run. ‌ However, when it was initially set to debut in 2005, with Paul O'Grady presenting rather than Ant and Dec, Britain's Got Talent originally featured Piers, Simon Cowell and Fern Britton as judges, before Amanda Holden took her place. ‌ The beloved Lily Savage performer fronted the pilot episode that was never broadcast, and Piers has now revealed a photograph of the three judges from that recording. Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell hosted the first Britain's Got Talent that aired (Image: ITV) Great British Bake Off judges and hosts confirmed as trailer for new series drops READ MORE: ITV This Morning stars rush to congratulate colleague after sweet baby announcement READ MORE: The former Good Morning Britain host had previously been a judge on America's Got Talent prior to Britain's Got Talent, which eventually premiered in 2007, reports Belfast Live. Article continues below He posted: "Another amazing pic from my past, also randomly posted on X by someone yesterday. "This one is truly historic... it was the first ever panel assembled for the Got Talent franchise anywhere in the world. "Simon Cowell had come up with the idea of a new talent show, ITV ordered a pilot episode to be filmed, and cast Simon, me and Fern Britton (then presenting This Morning) as the judges. ‌ Content cannot be displayed without consent "It was hosted by the late, great Paul O'Grady.. and called 'Paul O'Grady's Got Talent'. The acts sat in the audience and came down onto the stage when it was their turn to perform." Piers recalled the whole thing being "hysterical" and how ITV had "loved it" before a "falling out" with Paul, which led ITV to shelve the format with its original name. ‌ He went on: "However, Simon isn't one of life's quitters, and a few weeks later he texted me to say he'd sold the rights to NBC in the U.S. , they wanted to repackage it as America's Got Talent, and he wanted me as a judge on it to play the tough meanie role because he was committed to American Idol so couldn't do it. (He said, 'Piers, I need someone as arrogant, obnoxious and judgemental as me, and your name has immediately sprung to mind!') The Britain's Got Talent panel looks very different these days (Image: ITV) "A month later, I was on the Paramount movie lot in Hollywood, with a trailer next to David Hasselhoff's, and we started filming @agt . It was an instant smash hit No1 summer show in America, and I owe my entire 20-year career over in the States to that lucky break (Thanks Simon!). ‌ "The following year @bgt launched in the UK but with Amanda Holden replacing Fern. That was also a No1 smash hit, and Got Talent has now aired in 69 countries, becoming one of the most successful television franchises in history. And it all started with this pic!" Fans were shocked to hear of the original version, with one writing: "I wish we could see this pilot. I've always wondered what it would have been like with Paul as host. Paul O'Grady was our greatest star and my favourite person in the world. I would have loved to have seen him pulling no punches with you and Simon. Why did Fern not end up being on the panel? Lovely lady." Fern Britton filmed the pilot (Image: ITV) ‌ Another said: "Do you have the taping of that pilot, I would love to see it." "Fern! What's Fern doing there," a third exclaimed. Paul previously admitted his "row" with ITV which left him "banned" from their studios, telling The Daily Mirror in 2010: "I did the pilot for Britain's Got Talent – which was originally going to be called Paul O'Grady's Got Talent. ‌ "But I told the producers they were having a joke if they thought I would front a show with that title. Paul O'Grady originally hosted the ITV variety show (Image: Getty Images) "The original panel of judges was going to be Simon Cowell, Fern Britton and Piers Morgan. I was the host. Article continues below "Then when I had the row with ITV I was banned from the studios. "I remember I rang Simon and told him he had a huge hit on his hands, but there was no way I could do it. I said, if I am banned I have to be banned from everything. "I can't be a hypocrite and come in and do this. I had to bow out."
