The first batch of Apache attack helicopters for the Indian Army has arrived in India and will soon be deployed at Jodhpur, according to Army officials. The induction of these advanced combat helicopters is set to bolster the Army's operational capabilities in the region.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Indian Army posted, 'Indian Army inducts #Apache. Milestone moment for Indian Army as the first batch of Apache helicopters for Army Aviation arrive today in India. These state-of-the-art platforms will bolster the operational capabilities of the #IndianArmy significantly.'
The AH-64E Apache is regarded as one of the world's most advanced attack helicopters, engineered for delivering precision strikes in hostile combat environments.
Built by US defence giant Boeing, the Apache is in active service with several leading militaries, including those of the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, Egypt, and now India.
Armed with a formidable 30 mm chain gun, the Apache also carries laser- and radar-guided Hellfire missiles designed for precision targeting, alongside rocket pods capable of engaging multiple ground threats simultaneously.
A key feature is its Longbow radar, mounted atop the rotor, which enables the helicopter to detect, track, and prioritise targets — all while remaining hidden from direct enemy view.

Leaked details from an internal One UI 8.5 firmware suggest the Galaxy S26 Ultra will support up to 60W fast charging — a much-needed jump that puts it closer to what other Android brands are already offering. For years, Samsung has played it safe in this department, mostly due to battery safety concerns. But now, it appears the South Korean tech giant is ready to take a step forward. Now, the battery capacity itself is expected to stay at 5,000mAh, but the boost in charging speed means quicker top-ups, which is what really matters at the end of the source behind this leak is X (formerly Twitter) user @erenylmaz075, who claims that the firmware not only confirms the upgraded charging speed but also references Qualcomm's next-gen chipset — likely to be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 — as the processor powering the Galaxy S26 Ultra. This chip is expected to offer strong all-around performance, especially for gaming, multitasking, and AI-related tasks. Some rumours have even mentioned a Samsung-exclusive version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 built on a 2nm process, but that's still up in the Samsung may also be trimming things down.
