911 response to Hulk Hogan's fatal cardiac arrest

Daily Mail3 days ago
The chilling audio of the 911 call as emergency services rushed to Hulk Hogan's Florida home has emerged following his death. The WWE icon died at the age of 71 early Thursday morning after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.
911 operators could be heard dispatching paramedics to the scene as they noted the matter pertained to a cardiac arrest in the disturbing audio of the call, which was obtained by TMZ shortly after the devastating news of his passing broke. A 'slew of police cars and EMTs were parked outside Hogan's home' where the wrestling legend was reportedly stretchered out and placed in an ambulance, according to the outlet.
In a video shared to social media, responders were caught desperately trying to save Hogan's life as they transported him out of his home. They appeared to be administering CPR as they carried him to the ambulance. Officials reportedly responded to the call to emergency services at 9:51am. Hogan was treated by Clearwater Fire & Rescue personnel before being taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Hogan is survived by his third wife Sky, who he wed in 2023, children Brooke, 37, and Nick, 34, who he shared with first wife Linda Claridge, and two grandchildren. The shock death comes just weeks after his wife Sky denied rumors he was on his deathbed in a coma — and claimed his heart was 'strong' after he underwent a routine neck surgery. His representative said in a statement last month: 'He's had problems with his back for years but there's no emergency.'
Last month, a source revealed to DailyMail.com that Hogan — who was embroiled in a shocking family feud with his ex-wife Linda and estranged daughter Brooke earlier this year — was trying to work his way back to '100 percent' after neck and back operations. 'Hulk has a body ravaged by wrestling, his body is the body of a 140-year-old man with all the bumps and bruises through the years, and his recent neck and back surgeries have been harder to come back from,' a source close to Hogan said.
'But the rumors of heart issues is not a thing, and talk of him dying is farfetched. He is just having some struggle and trouble to get back to being 100 percent faster. He is getting older, he still is in good shape, works out. But he's a beaten man, just trying to get as right as possible. Obviously, he will never wrestle again, but it isn't because he is dying, it is because his bones are deteriorated.'
Hogan had previously opened up about undergoing '25 surgeries in the past decade.' Speaking on Jake Paul's IMPAULSIVE podcast last year, he said: 'Ten of them were back surgeries. I've had both knees and hips replaced, shoulders — everything.' Fans were left concerned for Hogan when he appeared as a special guest on Fox & Friends at the start of May while sporting a worrying new look. Renowned for his deep tan, the WWE great's skin looked particularly weathered on air, while his usual white beard appeared to be dyed black despite his goatee and hair being left white — making for a strange contrast.
Hogan's physical and mental condition likely came under strain during his very public fallout with his ex-wife and daughter back in March. In an astonishing video on social media, Linda first accused her former husband of being a 'complete liar' and 'sex addict'. She also claimed their family is 'in the worst mess' after Brooke cut both parents out of her life, before hitting back at her mom by alleging that her dad was not the only reason behind the shocking family divide, claiming she was 'verbally and mentally abused' during her childhood. 'Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it's not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes,' Brooke alleged. After Brooke's stunning response, Linda then took a dramatic U-turn by defending Hogan and branding her daughter a 'narcissist.'

Incredible moment hero dashes in front of train just in time to save man who collapsed on track

Heart-stopping footage has been released of a hero pedestrian dramatically saving a man's life after he collapsed in front of an oncoming train. The clip shows the onlooker sprinting towards the train track in the Russian city of Derbent, before incredibly pulling the seemingly unconscious man to safety moments before the train sped through. It is unclear what made the man tumble, but extreme heat in the area suggests it was a stifling day in Russia 's southernmost city. The brave onlooker, who had been standing on the opposite side of the track, quickly realized what had happened and instinctively sought to save him. Sprinting over the track as the train hurtled towards him, the courageous pedestrian saved the man's life by pulling his body to safety, keeping a tight grip on him as the vehicle steamed past with its bulky carriages. Russian tabloid newspaper, Komsomolskaya Pravda, is now leading a push to find the lifesaver. They said: 'The hero is being sought so that he can be honored.'

More than 50 children swim from Morocco to Spanish enclave in bid to reach Europe

At least 54 children and about 30 adults swam from Morocco to Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta in rough seas and fog, Spanish television reported on Saturday. Video footage on Spanish television channel RTVE showed Civil Guard launches making repeated rescue attempts to bring some of the swimmers to safety, while others swam across to the enclave. The children, who were mostly Moroccan, were taken to temporary centres in Ceuta, where authorities called for help from the central government in dealing with the latest arrivals. "Don't leave us alone. This is a matter of state. This has to be resolved," Juan Rivas of the Ceuta regional government told reporters on Saturday. On August 26 last year, hundreds of migrants took advantage of a thick mist to swim to Ceuta from neighbouring Morocco, local police said. In 2021, one boy was seen floating on empty plastic bottles in his attempt to reach Ceuta. Spain's two enclaves on Morocco's Mediterranean coast, Ceuta and Melilla, share the European Union's only land borders with Africa. The enclaves sporadically experience waves of attempted crossings by migrants trying to reach Europe. Moroccan nationals detained during the crossings are immediately sent back to Morocco unless they are underage or seeking asylum. People from other nationalities are taken to special centres where they are given shelter and released after a few days. Three years ago, at least 23 people died in a stampede when about 2,000 migrants tried to storm into Melilla, pushing down the border fence.
