Bernama Finish Runners-up At PFAM-SAM Pickleball Media Cup 2025
BERNAMA were edged out 23-33 by host team PFAM in the final held at Pickle X here.
Taking to the court for BERNAMA were Ahmad Syabil Sultan Noordin Ahmad, Syaiful Afiq Ahamidi, Dayana Nabila Shaipul Anuar and Pasha Abdul Rahim, while PFAM were represented by former national footballer Razman Roslan, women's national player Steffi Sidhu, Intan Serah, Sunil Chandran and Sean Giannelli.

Ahmad Syabil, when met after the match, said the team's impressive journey from the group stage to the final was driven by the strong team spirit displayed by his teammates throughout the tournament.
'Everyone played their part; we gave it our all and fought hard to collect points. We made it to the final, but PFAM proved to be the stronger side,' he said.
Participating in her first pickleball tournament, Dayana Nabila said she was pleased with the team's overall performance and described the event as an ideal platform for media practitioners to take a break from work and spend quality time with fellow industry members.
Meanwhile, Syaiful Afiq and Pasha said they were honoured to represent BERNAMA in a sport that is steadily gaining popularity, adding that the tournament was a valuable opportunity to strengthen ties among media professionals and showcase talents beyond office duties.
For the record, BERNAMA previously won the DRB-HICOM Challenge Championship and finished as runners-up in the Li-Ning Tiga Saga Pickleball Championship, reflecting the team's consistent performance and strong capability in competitions involving media practitioners.

All Super League Clubs Have Submitted FFP Documents For 2025-2026 Season
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- All Super League clubs have successfully submitted budget and pre-season documents for the 2025-2026 season, in line with the Malaysian Football League's (MFL) Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations. Chairman of the independent First Instance Body (FIB), Sheikh Mohd Nasir Sheikh Mohd Sharif, said the documents comprised the budget, sponsors' letters of agreement, as well as the list of players, officials and club staff with details of salaries and contributions to agencies such as the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) and the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO). He said a declaration of arrears as of June 2025 was also submitted in accordance with FFP regulations under Article 9(1) and Article 10(1), before the verification process by the MFL's FFP Unit.

ISTANBUL, Aug 14 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) rallied from two goals down to beat Tottenham Hotspur on penalties in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday in Udine, Italy, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported. Europa League winners Spurs were 2-0 up with five minutes remaining in regulation after first-half goals from Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. Van de Ven scored in the 39th minute after Lucas Chevalier parried Joao Palhinha's shot, and Romero added a header from a free-kick in the 48th minute.
