Tracking the NYC Restaurants in ‘And Just Like That...' Season 3, Episode 6
Like previous seasons , Eater will be tracking where the gang is eating across New York City, from brunch sessions to romantic dinners to cocktail dates. This guide will be updated weekly when each episode airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m., leading up to the finale. And we're saying it now: there will be spoilers ahead.
Carrie definitely has a neighbor crush — she's spending a lot of time with Mr. British Biographer, even having a supper of mutton stew and malbec in his basement apartment on a rainy evening. 'Never had mutton before,' she muses. 'Tastes exactly like I imagine it would; it's very muttony.' Well put, Carrie. He says he wants to take her out for a 'proper meal,' but before that, they do the vulnerable writer thing and ask each other to read their works-in-progress. She later tells Aidan it was the 'worst meal of my entire life,' while he just makes bad Dunkin' puns (since the neighbor's name is Duncan, get it?) and later breaks the irreplaceable window of her home. Come. On.
It's another heavy episode too: Lisa's father has a stroke and dies (but also, wasn't he already dead before?); Harry opts to undergo surgery to treat his prostate cancer.
368 West 23rd Street, at Ninth Avenue, Chelsea
Lisa treks out to this diner 'all the way across the bridge' to meet up with the general manager of her father's theater, Lucille Highwater (played by Jenifer Lewis), and plan for his funeral in New Jersey. And actually, this diner is written to act as the Pink Tea Cup, a since-shuttered NYC soul food staple.
The staff knows them well, calling her Miss Lisa and asking if she wants 'the usual,' which turns out to be chicken and waffles. Over their big plates, Lisa asks for hot sauce from a server, but Lucille channels Beyoncé by whipping out a bottle of what looks like Crystal hot sauce, gifted by her father. They also get slices of Key lime pie, which Lucille describes as having 'seen better days.'
129 East 18th Street at Irving Place, Gramercy Park
The historic New York City bar makes its second appearance this season (see: episode five, where Carrie and Duncan go out for a meal). This time, it's an exterior scene. Miranda, Joy, and the pups are drinking outside on the patio before Brady meets them. Her son knows his mother well and questions why she's outside; she points to the dogs. See More:

Kim Cattrall Shades ‘And Just Like That' Cancellation With Cryptic Post
And just like that, the Sex and the City reboot has reached a bitter end—and Kim Cattrall is breathing a sigh of relief. And Just Like That, the follow-up to the award-winning HBO series, reunited original stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon. Cattrall, who played fan favorite character Samantha Jones, was absent from the spin-off due to her public feud with Parker. Cattrall seemed to shade the series' end with a picture of a sunset and the caption: 'It's the end of a very long week' alongside a red heart and kiss emoji. Fans were quick to pick up on the viral diss. 'Kim, we need a fabulous new series just for you,' one said. 'Real ones knew.' 'Without 'Samantha' it is the end of a very loooonnnngggg three seasons!' another chimed in. 'Translation: finally this thing is over (in a Samantha voice),' a third commented alongside a winky emoji. Cattrall has accused Parker of behaving cruelly toward her during the original series and said that the two had never really been friends. Cattrall said Parker was not genuine in her condolences after Cattrall's brother died in 2018. Parker has called the feud 'very painful.' 'We did not ask her to be part of this [And Just Like That] because she made it clear that that wasn't something she wanted to pursue, and it no longer felt comfortable for us, and so it didn't occur to us,' Parker told The Hollywood Reporter in 2022. 'That's not 'slamming' her, it's just learning' And Just Like That showrunner Michael Patrick King announced the series' end after its third season, hours before Cattrall's post. 'It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years,' he said. He added that he held off on announcing the news until now 'because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season.' Although Cattrall, 68, made a brief cameo in the season 2 finale, she otherwise steered clear of the reboot. Cattrall's short cameo, where she calls Parker's character, Carrie Bradshaw, was filmed separately and without involving the other cast members. The other actresses expressed sadness and the series' end. Davis said she was 'profoundly sad' about the show's ending, and Nixon said that the filming had been 'such a delight from start to finish.' Parker, 60, posted a montage reel of her character's moments on Instagram. Carrie 'changed homes, time zones, boyfriends, her mind, her shoes, her hair, but never her love and devotion to New York City,' she wrote. 'I am better for every single day I spent with you,' she said to her fans. 'It will be forever before I forget. The whole thing. Thank you all. I love you so. I hope you love these final two episodes as much as we all do.' Solve the daily Crossword

And Just Like That... fans have a theory about how the show will end
And just like that, it's time to say goodbye to Carrie Bradshaw and the girlies. After three series, it's been confirmed that And Just Like That... will wrap up for good this month, with showrunner Michael Patrick King announcing that the "Sex and the City universe" is coming to an end. RIP. Despite the (very!) mixed reviews the SATC spin-off has received since it started airing in 2021, fans have understandably been quite cut up about bidding farewell to these iconic characters – more on their reactions in a moment. That being said, after decades in the SATC universe, it's only natural that viewers are theorising about how the show will close, and one theory seems to be pretty prominent, especially among Samantha Jones fans. "And Just Like That needs to end with Samantha waking up and saying 'What a horrible dream!?'" one fan suggested on X, referencing the absence of Kim Cattrall's legendary character. "But for real, And Just Like That should end with Samantha waking up from a three year long coma and going: 'I just had the worst dream'. And then smash to black," another fan agreed, as someone else shared: "It should end with a Samantha scene!! She was the show!!" Other viewers hope that we'll see the show switch to Samantha's life in London, although, given the wording that the entire SATC "universe" is coming to an end, that might be unrealistic. "It'd be even better if they could pass the baton over to Samantha in London for the last hour of show – we get a tiny glimpse into her wonderful sex life with a younger man, her social life with Black and gay friends, her office fling with an older man coz duh, she trying poly!" one fan suggested, as another wrote, "I'd like a Samantha spin off." Elsewhere, another viewer pointed to how relieved the actress who played her must be feeling. "Kim Cattrall after seeing this news, realising no one will ever bother her about playing Samantha Jones again," they posted. Here's a few more reactions to the news that AJLT is ending... AJLT's final episodes will air later this month. Say it ain't so!

The end of a TV era: And Just Like That... season three will be the show's last
Things happen fast in New York City. One week, you're celebrating Carrie and Aidan's breakup, the next you're mourning the loss of your favourite show. In a shocking move, HBO has announced that And Just Like That... will end with season three. The last episode will air in two weeks, with no hope of a season four. "And just like that... the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end," began a statement from showrunner Michael Patrick King, posted on Instagram on Friday 1 August. "While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That... season three, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop." Michael continued, saying that he, alongside Sarah Jessica Parker and HBO execs Casey Bloys and Sarah Aubrey, mutually decided to end the series with a two-part finale. "SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season," he wrote. "It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years." It's unclear if And Just Like That... was cancelled by the network or naturally came to an end on its own. Viewership for the show's third (and now final) season had reportedly been declining, and it's possible that all the "love to hate it" discourse became too much to ignore. Or maybe Sarah Jessica Parker and her fellow co-stars, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Sarita Choudhury, and Nicole Ari Parker were simply ready to say goodbye. Whatever the reason, it sounds like this might be the last time fans ever get to see Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda on their screens — note Michael's use of the term "Sex and the City universe". It's truly the end of a television era. And Just Like That... will end with a two-part series finale, with part one airing on Thursday 7 August, and part two airing on August 14.
