Primary school teacher jailed after horrific 'violent sexual acts' on pupil, 11

Daily Mirror15-05-2025

A married primary school teacher has been sentenced to nine years in prison after an eleven-year-old boy's mum discovered evidence of a months-long campaign of abuse
A female teacher has been sentenced to nine years behind bars after her vile behaviour towards a male student. The boy's mum was the person to find the shocking evidence of the sexual abuse, which had gone on for months behind closed doors and online.
In the shocking case, which was discovered last January, a married primary school teacher was found to have been committing 'violent acts of a sexual nature" against a student. While the teacher, Anna Plaksyuk, was 25, the young boy was just 11.

Plaksyuk had received her teaching qualification three years prior to the abuse being discovered, and worked at a school in Toksovo, in the Leningrad region of Russia. At the time the allegations were levelled against her, many parents at the school refused to believe the claims, describing Plakysuk as a 'dream teacher'.

Plakysuk launched her campaign of abuse in November 2023, and did not stop until the boy's mother stumbled across worrying content on his phone on January 31, 2024.
At her court hearing in Russia, it was heard that Plakysuk made the boy touch her breasts and kiss her on the lips. She was also found to have kept him after school and locked him in the classroom with her, where the married teacher 'stroked his private parts through his clothes'.
Outside of the classroom, Plakysuk sent nude photos to the 11-year-old on WhatsApp, and insisted that he did the same in return. They also exchanged explicit messages alongside the photos, with the victim's mother contacting the police and the school director after discovering the horrifying content and accusing the teacher of 'systematic flirting, stroking and kissing'.
Talking to the police when she was first detained, Plakysuk confessed to locking the boy in her classroom for their illicit meetings, but seemed to suggest that the desire went both ways. She told cops that she started her campaign after the boy had "shown signs of attention" and "made compliments" to her over the course of several months.

Prior to being sentenced to nine years in prison, Plakysuk had been held in pre-trial detention for more than a year, and the married teacher is now 27. At her hearing, she was convicted of 'violent acts of a sexual nature committed against a person under 14 years of age', and has been banned from teaching for a year after she gets out of jail.
Plakysuk's husband hasn't yet spoken on the case, while the boy's mum revealed that he stayed away from school for a long period of time after the abuser was first detained.

While Plakysuk has been charged with nine years and a following one-year teaching ban, it was initially understood that her sentence could have been much harsher. Lawyer Ilya Rusyaev spoke after she was detained, and explained that she could have faced up to 20 years behind bars and never teach again.
The lawyer said at the time: "This threatens the teacher with 20 years in prison. As a rule, in our country crimes against children are punished very severely, so most likely she will receive a harsh but fair sentence. A child at this age is not only not fully mature but also may not be fully aware of his actions.
"Ultimately, such actions can cause psychological trauma to children. For this purpose, the law establishes an age of consent; in our country, it is 16 years."
Rusyaev added that her crimes meant that she was "no longer suitable" for teaching - despite it now being ruled that she could one day return to the classroom. He explained: "This is incompatible with educational activities and demonstrates ignorance of the basic psychology of the child. Moreover, this is a violation of the ethics of the profession."

Serious threat issued to EastEnders' Tommy after shocking incident is committed

Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) is dealt a stark warning in EastEnders next week. As viewers of the BBC One soap know, the youngster has had quite a difficult year. He was taken into foster care after abusing mum Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), and subsequently entered a friendship with an unknown online friend. It later transpired that his new mate didn't exist – it was artificial intelligence. Tommy faced ridicule from his peers, but there was one person who could see past it. Newcomer Joel Marshall (Max Murray) swanned into Albert Square from Australia, bringing with him a lorry load of new issues to put upon Tommy. He'd been forced to flee the country alongside dad Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) and his partner Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) when he upskirted a pupil in his class. Ross coughed up $50,000 in exchange for the girl's silence, but her family demanded that they also return to the UK. Joel has since gone on to introduce naïve Tommy to pornography, and recorded himself having sex with Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James). She's since received significant online backlash from teens who have found out they've slept together. In upcoming scenes, Joel's troubled behaviour worsens… and he entwines Tommy into the scheme. The boys are returning from a day out together, and when they board a tube, Joel whips out his phone and instructs Tommy to start recording. Stumbling through the carriage, he falls onto another passenger – Isla – and touches her inappropriately. Tommy is horrified by the encounter, and a furious Isla rushes over to the police at Walford East to ensure that Joel is apprehended. At the station, Ross demands answers from his son, while Vicki has her own matters to discuss. Cornering Isla, she assures her that she will take appropriate action to prevent Joel from committing such an act again. Vicki also swaps phone numbers, should Isla need to contact her in future. Scots cops sent to Northern Ireland as police officers injured in fireworks riots

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said the Scots cops in question are "trained to work in our environment". Police Scotland officers have been deployed to Northern Ireland as a fifth consecutive night of riots saw more police officers injured in the disturbances. Heavy masonry and fireworks were thrown during disorder on Friday night. And Assistant Chief Constable Melanie Jones has said the Scots officers in question are equipped to deal with the challenges they'll face. ‌ The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officer said: "It is important to know over the remainder of this weekend the public will continue to see a large policing presence across Northern Ireland to reassure our communities and protect our streets. This will include the deployment of mutual aid resources from Scotland. ‌ "These officers, trained to work in our environment, will be working side by side with their PSNI colleagues. We repeat, once more, our appeal for calm across Northern Ireland in the coming days." And a senior officer has warned that the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is actively investigating people inciting the disorder through social media. The scenes on Friday night in Portadown were the fifth consecutive night of rioting in the region after serious disturbances in Ballymena on Monday. The violence, which followed an alleged sex attack on a teenage girl in the Co Antrim town, has since spread to several other parts of Northern Ireland. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! On Saturday afternoon, hundreds of people attended a rally in Belfast city centre which heard calls for greater political leadership in opposing racism. More than 60 police officers have been hurt during the rioting. A PSNI spokesperson said: "Disorder and violence broke out in Portadown with officers coming under sustained attack with heavy masonry and fireworks thrown at them. "Officers used various public order tactics including water cannon to keep the public safe with no reports of injury to the public or damage to property." Two males, aged 14 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of riotous behaviour and remain in custody. Police in Londonderry dealt with disorder in the Tullyally area. A police vehicle was damaged, with the front window smashed. One male was arrested at around 2.20am and remains in custody. Damage was caused to playing fields and property in the Killeavey Road area of Newry as a large group set a pitch and bins on fire. One 14-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of riot. Stones were thrown at the windows of a hotel in the Newtownabbey area. ‌ A car was also set on fire in the Hesketh Gardens area of Belfast, which police are treating as a racially motivated crime. The disorder started in Ballymena on Monday after an alleged sexual assault of a girl in the town last weekend. Two 14-year-old boys, who spoke to a court through a Romanian interpreter, have been charged with attempted rape. A peaceful protest about the alleged assault on Monday evening was followed by attacks on properties housing ethnic minorities and police. The PSNI described the scenes as "racist thuggery". Assistant Chief Constable Jones added: "It's deeply disturbing to see such young members of our communities involved in and in some areas driving criminal activity like this. ‌ "I would appeal directly to parents and guardians to speak to your children about the impact their behaviour is having on the safety of our local communities and the impact this could have on their lives if arrested, charged and prosecuted. We continue to have a heightened presence in our local communities to de-escalate violence. "We are making arrests and will continue to make public appeals with photos of suspects. Do you want your child, family member or friend directly associated with this disorder in this way? These actions are not without serious consequence. I am so grateful to our frontline officers who continue to put themselves at risk in protecting everyone from this hate-motivated criminality." Ms Jones added: "To those posting hate on social media, inciting disorder or being seen to commit disorder, we are actively investigating what you have said and what you have been captured doing. We have an ongoing physical and online presence. We have already released images of four individuals we want to identify and interview in connection with our ongoing investigation." The officer added: "In releasing these images, I am asking the wider community to step forward and help us. It is in all of our interests, and in the interests of justice, that those responsible are dealt with and I would urge anyone who may have information to bring it forward."
