Trump vs Musk feud: The billionaire break-up that broke the internet
What began as a policy disagreement quickly turned into digital drama as US President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk engaged in an all-out feud late Thursday.
The high-profile feud between the US President and the world's richest man played out in real time, the fallout of which spawned a wave of memes, mock headlines, and viral one-liners across the internet.
It all began after Musk denounced Trump's domestic 'Big, Beautiful Bill'. On Thursday, Trump fired back from the White House, telling reporters, 'I'm very disappointed in Elon. I've helped Elon a lot.' Musk, then, took to his platform X (formerly Twitter), starting off a digital war with a barrage of posts.
Social media users, however, wasted no time in branding the episode. On X, one user referred to the spat as the 'billionaire breakup,' while another called it 'an ugly divorce.' Others likened it to the infamous rap beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Many also casted it in the mould of 'Mean Girls,' with Musk and Trump assuming roles in a passive-aggressive teen drama.

'The big beautiful bill led to the big beautiful breakup,' wrote one user, in a pointed nod to Trump's favoured legislative branding.
Another widely circulated meme showed a mock iPhone emergency alert reading, 'THE GIRLS ARE CRASHING OUTTTTT.' Another post riffed on the Musk-Trump dynamic with, 'This is like Kendrick vs Drake but with two Drakes.'

One viral comment declared the feud as 'the truly gayest thing about Pride Month.'

The international community wasn't spared from the meme-makers' imagination. One X user doctored an image of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and North Korea's Kim Jong-un, styled as though they were on a conference call reacting to the Musk-Trump implosion.
Seems like a great time to pull out this meme again 🤣 #muskvstrump pic.twitter.com/w0mV7Q2Vc4

Then came a parody diplomatic intervention. An account named @Abhishekkkk10, which describes itself as a satire of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, posted: 'After a long night of talks mediated by India, I am pleased to announce that Donald Trump & Elon Musk have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both individuals on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!'

This came amid Trump's claim of brokering the ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
Back home, too, political figures got in on the commentary. Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi posted a screenshot of Musk's tweet saying Trump was 'in the Epstein files.' Her caption was simple: 'SOS: call for ceasefire!!'

While the humour served to diffuse the tension for many, the underlying clash continues to remain a serious one. Musk's tweet alleging Trump's name appears in sealed records related to Jeffrey Epstein marked a sharp escalation. Trump, for his part, threatened to cut off billions in government contracts to Musk's companies, SpaceX and Starlink.
However, what the feud has done is turned the drama into a pop-cultural event, reshaped in viral posts and sarcastic memes.

‘Should Be Prosecuted': Trump Says Pentagon Intel Leakers On Iran Strikes Can Be Easily Found
Last Updated: While US President Donald Trump did not name anyone, he claimed authorities 'could find out easily' if they chose to investigate the matter over a threat to national security. US President Donald Trump on Sunday renewed his attack on Democrats for allegedly leaking the classified Pentagon intelligence about strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, calling for those responsible to be prosecuted. While the US President did not name anyone, he claimed authorities 'could find out easily" if they chose to investigate the matter over a threat to national security. 'They (intel leakers) should be prosecuted. They (US authorities) can find out easily who leaked the information if they want to," Trump told Fox News. Trump says Iran strike intel leakers should be PROSECUTEDBut doesn't specify who: 'if they wanted, they could find out easily' — RT (@RT_com) June 29, 2025 Earlier, the Republican President claimed that Democrats are the ones who leaked the intel, which involved an assessment by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA). It claimed that the recent strikes under Operation Midnight Hammer may not have had as severe an impact on Iran's nuclear sites, contradicting Trump's claims of complete destruction. The FBI is currently working to identify the source of the leak. However, no individual has been named so far, and investigators have not publicly linked the leak to any specific political party or group. Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of Defence, singled out some prominent media outlets for carrying the leaked intelligence on their platform. 'Whether it's fake news CNN, MSNBC or the New York Times, there's been fawning coverage of a preliminary assessment," he said. He claimed the leak was a result of an anti-Trump agenda: 'It was leaked because someone had an agenda to try to muddy the waters and make it look like this historic strike wasn't successful." However, neither Trump nor the White House has presented any solid evidence linking the leak to the Democratic Party. Last weekend, the US B-2 stealth bombers reportedly carried out airstrikes on Iran's nuclear sites at Fordow and Natanz, using multiple GBU-57 bunker-busting munitions. A third location, the Isfahan facility, was targeted by Tomahawk cruise missiles believed to have been launched from an American Navy submarine. First Published:

Contribute to stable borders, Xi tells Tibetans near Arunachal Pradesh
Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday called on the Tibetan residents of a village situated near the Indian border to contribute towards fostering prosperity and stability in the border areas. "Learning that the village has undergone new changes in recent years and villagers' incomes have increased, I feel happy for you," Xi replied to a letter received from residents of Nyingchi, a prefecture-level area located close to the Arunachal Pradesh border. China claims Arunachal Pradesh as part of South Tibet, which is firmly rejected by India. Xi visited Nyingchi in 2021, becoming the only Chinese president to have visited the border areas of Tibet. Xi, in his letter, voiced hope that Nyingchi residents will, under the guidance of the Communist Party's policies to develop border areas and improve people's lives, do an even better job in protecting the natural beauty of the plateau region, developing the village's tourist brand, and contributing to building a prosperous and stable border area. In recent years, China has built a number of villages along the Tibetan border areas to ensure border security and development. In his letter, Xi also urged the people in the Tibet Autonomous Region to uphold ethnic solidarity and create a happier and better life, the state-run Xinhua news agency reported. During his 2021 visit to Nyingchi, Xi visited the Nyang River Bridge to inspect the ecological preservation in the basin of the Brahmaputra River, which is called Yarlung Zangbo in the Tibetan language. Last year, China approved the construction of the world's largest dam, stated to be the planet's biggest infrastructure project, costing $137 billion, on the Brahmaputra river in Tibet, which has raised concerns in the riparian states of India and Bangladesh.
