Ben Stokes enjoying ‘high quality' games between England and India despite draw

Stokes hailed the quality of the Test, telling Sky Sports: 'I thought Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett's opening partnership was incredibly crucial in the way we could sort of lay the foundations for the game.
'The opening partnership, the way they took the Indian attack on, the rate they were managing to score at it sort of allowed us to go, 'right we're going to try and bat once' and look to hopefully bowl India out.
'It started great yesterday with two wickets in the first over, but it was one of those wickets where if you got in, you felt like you were going to be the one to make the mistake to get out.
'It's been a back-and-forth series so far, we've been throwing punches and India have been throwing punches back at us, it's just been real high-quality cricket – two very good teams.
'Got to give credit to the way India came out here and performed under the pressure they were.'

With the game destined for a draw, the final stages of the match saw India's batters electing against shaking hands with 15 overs left.
Jadeja and Sundar scored hundreds before shaking hands and Stokes revealed he offered to shake with the aim of protecting his bowling attack.
'I think all the hard work was done by India, they both played incredibly well,' Stokes added.
'It got to that point where there was obviously only one result and there was no chance I was going to risk any of my big, fast bowlers for injuries with one more game to go.
'(Liam Dawson) has bowled so many overs this game, his body started to get a little bit tired and cramp up in the legs.
'I wasn't risking any of my frontline bowlers for that last half-an-hour.'
Stokes appeared to be troubled by his left leg and a problem in his right shoulder, and admitted he was 'pretty sore'.

'It's been a big five or six weeks,' he said. 'I'll always try and give everything that I possibly can. Try and run through a brick wall.
'I ask the guys up there to run through a brick wall for the team. I'll always try and do the same to try and lead by example in that sense.
'Bowling, being out in the field all that kind of stuff it is tough work, but pretty sore.'
When asked specifically about his shoulder, he added: 'It's just a workload thing, got through a fair few amount of overs and just everything starts creeping up on you.
'I'll keep trying, keep going. As I always say to all the bowlers, pain is only an emotion.'

F1 fans floored by what Lando Norris wrote on champagne bottle after Hungarian GP win
Lando Norris also hid his trophy from danger when the champagne spraying began on the podium, having broken the one won by Max Verstappen at the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2023 Lando Norris was never going to make the same mistake twice. Having held off team-mate Oscar Piastri to win the Hungarian Grand Prix, there was only one thing on his mind from even before he went up the steps to the podium. These days, because of a sponsorship agreement, the winner of a race signs a bottle of champagne and writes a little message on it. Norris took the opportunity to have a little bit of fun, writing: "Don't break the trophy!" It was a message to himself, having got himself in some bother a couple of years ago. He finished second in the 2023 edition of the Budapest race, but was the centre of attention during the podium ceremony when he accidentally knocked over the trophy won by race victor Max Verstappen. And on Sunday, he made sure he was not going to repeat that error. After the national anthems were played and the trophies were handed out, Norris made a beeline for his porcelain prize and placed it at the side of the podium, before returning to spray some champagne. It did not go unnoticed by fans. "He moved it so far away!" wrote one on social media, while several others noted that he had stopped to also remove team-mate Piastri's trophy out of harm's way before slamming his bottle on the ground to get the fizz flowing. The unfortunate 2023 incident had been a complete accident and Verstappen took it well, laughing on the podium when he noticed what had happened. But still, Norris was apologetic – perhaps aware of how much work had gone into its creation. Trophies handed out at the Hungarian GP are traditionally made out of porcelain and are painstakingly hand-painted by specialist artists. They were created by manufacturer Herend, took around six months to make and cost around £35,000. "I do want to apologise for it, it was never my intention to do such a thing," Norris later said. "I know how much it means to the Hungarians and it is part of their culture and so forth. Of course, I want to enjoy my time but it was never my intention to do such a thing. Sky Sports forced to issue live on-air apology as Scottish Premiership coverage suffers major disruption

The broadcaster is showing four matches across a bumper opening weekend of top flight action. 2 Sky Sports had to apologise live on air Credit: Getty 2 Sky's on-air apology Credit: SKY SPORTS Saturday night's coverage of the big Fir Park clash between Motherwell and Rangers went smoothly. But their second game of the weekend between Championship winners Falkirk and Dundee United didn't quite go to plan. So much so, that mid-way through the first half, Sky were forced to issue an on-air apology to punters watching at home. While pre-match analysis and build-up went without a hitch, a major issue cropped up once the game commenced. That's because commentators Gary Weaver and James McFadden were way out of sync with the pictures. Early on in the match, the sound appeared to briefly cut out and once it came back, it was very obviously not in sync with what was going on. A sizeable delay appeared to be in play, with the commentators' description of what was happening not following until several seconds after the pictures had shown what they were describing. Around the 25th minute of the match, a graphic appeared in the bottom right of the screen simply saying: "Apologies for sound issues." The graphic remained on screen for around 10 minutes. In the 35th minute of the game, the sound appeared to briefly dip out for a second or two and after that, the commentary was back in sync with the action. Billy Dodds on returning to Rangers under Barry Ferguson, defeating Mourinho & ending Celtic Park hoodoo Presenter Eilidh Barbour also acknowledged the issues when she picked up in the studio during the half time break. Addressing the audience, she said: "Apologies for the sound issues during that first half, hopefully you still enjoyed that first 45." The issue didn't go down too well with punters watching on at home. One said: "Match commentary well behind the TV pictures." A second fan said: "Please fix the audio for the Falkirk/Dundee United game, it's about 30 seconds behind the actual game." Another posted: "Thought it was just me. Even switched my TV on and off." While the issue appeared to have been resolved before the half time whistle, it returned as the second half kicked-off with the commentary once again obviously well behind the pictures.
