Ministry of Culture honours artisans at ‘Make it in the Emirates'

Al Hammadi added that the pavilion hosts approximately 50 artisans on a daily basis, as well as companies that specialise in crafts-related ventures. These enterprises have drawn inspiration from Emirati history to develop their creative industries, ultimately assisting in the economic empowerment of the handicraft and industrial sectors.

She underlined the Ministry of Culture's commitment to ensuring the presence and engagement of all members of society, including adults, adolescents, and children. She stated that the pavilion is notable for having contributions from people of determination, as represented by the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination, as well as displaying handcrafted products manufactured by penal prison convicts.
Workshops, dialogues, and culinary
According to Al Hammadi, the pavilion provides training workshops for artisans and craftsmen in partnership with supportive institutions, with the goal of empowering and developing their skills in industrial and craft-related activities. She further mentioned that the pavilion hosts an array of discussion sessions, as well as top Emirati chefs, including Michelin-starred chefs.

She concluded by inviting the public to attend, enjoy the cultural atmosphere, witness the artisans' creativity as they practice their crafts, and engage with them directly.

2 June 2025 20:34 MOSCOW (WAM) The United Arab Emirates participated in the 42nd Plenary Meeting of the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering (EAG) and its accompanying forum, which was co-organised by the Eurasian Group and the Middle East and North Africa Financial Action Task Force (MENAFATF) in Moscow, joint forum on regulation and risks marked the first-ever event to bring together two regional FATF-style bodies, reflecting the growing strategic partnership and international cooperation in addressing global risks associated with money laundering and terrorist financing. The forum focused on the theme 'Risk Management in the Era of Modern Technology,' with participation from over 200 high-level representatives from anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing authorities, regulatory bodies, financial intelligence units, the private sector, international organisations, and UAE delegation was led by Hamid Al Zaabi, Secretary-General and Vice Chairman of the UAE's National Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing and Financing of Illegal Organisations Committee, and Vice President of MENAFATF. He also participated in the main panel discussion titled 'Future Trends – Global Challenges and Digital Threats.'The UAE delegation, also attending as an observer to the Eurasian Group, showcased the latest developments in the country's efforts to combat money laundering and terrorist financing, including national initiatives leveraging artificial intelligence and digital innovation to strengthen the UAE's capabilities in tackling financial part of the visit, the UAE Embassy in Moscow hosted a 'Youth Circle' session, where Al Zaabi delivered an awareness presentation to Emirati youth and scholarship students. The session focused on sharing knowledge about the UAE's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing framework while highlighting promising career opportunities in this vital sector, which is closely tied to financial system integrity and national security. UAE President congratulates new Polish president on winning election
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday congratulated opposition candidate Karol Nawrocki on winning the Polish presidential election. On social media platform X, the Emirati head of state said he looks forward to working with President Nawrocki to "build upon the strong ties between the UAE and Poland." In a victory for European conservatives inspired by US President Donald Trump, Nawrocki secured 50.89 per cent of the vote, election commission data showed. Nawrocki, 42, a newcomer to politics who previously ran a national remembrance institute, campaigned on a promise to ensure economic and social policies favour Poles. The UAE is Poland's leading partner in the region, cooperating in economic and security matters. At least 2,000 Poles live in the UAE, the highest in any Arab state.
