The event marks the first time the Para Swimming World Series comes to the region, part of a new four-year agreement that will see Abu Dhabi host the championship through to 2028. 15 June 2025 11:51 ABU DHABI (WAM)The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO), in collaboration with Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, has announced the launch of two new peer-reviewed academic journals: International Journal of Rehabilitation & Disability Studies, and the Emirati Journal of Applied initiative reflects a strategic partnership and a shared vision to advance specialised knowledge in the fields of rehabilitation and mental health, while positioning the UAE as a regional and global hub for innovative scientific journals are subject to rigorous peer-review processes by expert academic committees, and have been officially indexed in reputable international their announcement, the journals have received substantial engagement, with over 134 research submissions. Outlined by the Ministry of Family and Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination, the initiative commits to align legislations and regulations, and to fully implement the Unified National Disability Classification. The move aims to enhance the protection of rights for People of Determination, monitor employment stability and conduct benchmarking of working hours. Innovative technological solutions such as data-sharing networks and the expansion of smart application use will be implemented.
