This Morning star Josie Gibson on the hunt for love in Glasgow as she seeks hunky Scotsman
Josie Gibson has declared that she's looking for love after a trip to Glasgow. During her visit, This Morning star Josie popped by The AC Hotel by Marriott where she fell in love with the space and even asked if she could get married there to a 'hunky Scotsman'.
'I have never, ever stayed in anywhere like this in my life,' Josie declared as she stepped into The Liberty Suite, a stunning two-bedroom residence featuring its own living area, dining space, and kitchen. The suite offers unrivalled views and elegant interiors that left the presenter captivated.
Josie visited Glasgow to get a first look at The Collector's Hall, AC Hotel's striking new venue designed for weddings, private events, and exclusive gatherings. The spacious, contemporary setting pairs perfectly with the refined luxury of The Liberty Suite. Josie took a look behind the scenes at the creation of the most anticipated venue in Glasgow and was stunned by its beauty.
Clearly impressed, Josie joked with General Manager, Craig Munro about her own romantic aspirations: 'Can I get married here? Can you imagine walking down the aisle to a hunky Scotsman… I've just got to find him first'.
Craig Munro was delighted by Josie's enthusiasm: 'It was an absolute privilege to have Josie stay in our Liberty Suite. This two-bedroom suite, with its unique layout and high-end finishes, complements our new wedding and event space perfectly. We're thrilled she enjoyed her time with us and would be honoured to host her big day - when that hunky Scotsman comes along!'
The AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow is more than just a modern luxury destination; it's a meticulous restoration of Glasgow's 120-year-old Grade A-listed former Parish Halls. As part of the £100 million Love Loan development, the project has transformed an entire block off George Square into a vibrant leisure and residential neighbourhood.
The hotel's heritage suites, including The Liberty Suite, showcase original features such as a sweeping stone staircase, period cornicing, a glass ceiling dome, and a stained-glass window depicting Glasgow's famous coat of arms inspired by the legend of St Mungo.
Now open for bookings, The Collector's Hall offers a chic and memorable venue in the heart of Glasgow. Whether it's an intimate wedding or a grand celebration, the team at AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow is ready to deliver unforgettable experiences with signature style and Scottish hospitality.
Elsewhere on Josie's Glasgow trip, she teamed up with Iceland to surprise a customer after she penned a heartfelt email to the Iceland boss.
Kayleigh McGregor emailed Richard Walker to express her 'genuine appreciation for what Iceland represents and how the supermarket consistently delivers for people like her'.
Glasgow resident Kayleigh said that it's rare to see a brand of Iceland's size not only acknowledge those who come from a working-class background, but also actively create products to suit their needs.
As well as praising Iceland's affordable meals, saying the quality is 'better than some restaurants she's paid triple for' and Iceland's actions during the pandemic, Kayleigh states that Iceland is more than just a supermarket, it's a 'lifeline'.
Josie arrived in Glasgow, surprising Kayleigh in an Iceland van full of some of the products she mentioned that she loved in her email, delivering items such as Greggs Steak Bakes, Iceland Chicken & Mushroom Curry, Brioche Rolls, and Iceland Thin & Crispy French Fries.

ITV boss warns of 'challenging' changes to daytime ahead of huge cuts
ITV boss Kevin Lygo has lifted the lid on upcoming cuts to the channel's daytime offerings, admitting that certain shows are a huge expense to make ITV boss Kevin Lygo has insisted the channel will try to make their daytime shows look the same next year but admitted it will be 'challenging' - as he spoke out about the budget cuts to daytime. From January 2026 Lorraine Kelly's morning show on ITV will be cut from an hour to 30 minutes as more than 220 jobs across the station's daytime output are being cut, the broadcaster announced in May. Asked directly if the best days of daytime TV were behind them at ITV, ITV managing director Lygo said 'no, I don't think so' but admitted there would be changes. He said: 'As a commercial broadcast you earn most of your money with big audiences in peak time. That is what advertisers want and the cost of those has gone up and up and up. Those are the things that drive us commercially. 'Those morning shows have been on forever and they are brilliant and they are watched and they are seven hours of TV a day but they do cost a great deal of money. 'So we thought, is there a way of keeping those long standing brands on air and keeping the familiar faces on that give comfort to people? So the editorial brief was if you have a lot less money, which you will do from January, to try to make it so the audience isn't shocked. They should look more or less the same, they are less funded so that will be challenging to the producers. But unfortunately that means people doing a perfectly good job will lose their jobs because we need fewer people making them.' Lygo also defended the decision to keep Torode's John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen on air on ITV after he was sacked from MasterChef following an independent report. Questioned over this decision to let him remain on screen, Lygo said he 'felt it was a bit much for us to jump on the bandwagon and just deny these shows to go out.' He added: 'We don't know the details, the BBC haven't come out with that. We pre-recorded those shows. We did ask the producers of our shows if there were any incidents and they said everything was fine.' Torode was sacked after the report, initially examining allegations against Wallace, upheld a complaint against him for use of racial language. Torode has apologised but denied the incident took place. In a separate session at the Edinburgh TV Festival, the BBC's chief content officer said the corporation 'acted fast' after misconduct allegations against former MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace. Wallace, 60, issued an apology saying he was 'deeply sorry for any distress caused' and that he 'never set out to harm or humiliate', after a review said 45 out of 83 allegations made against him were upheld. Speaking at the Festival, Kate Phillips said: 'I think when complaints came to me about Gregg Wallace, which was 2019, when I dealt with it, I always dealt with it straightaway. 'So there were two complaints. I dealt with them. I acted on them fast. 'I think we weren't as joined-up in the BBC as we are now, so I didn't know about some of the historical things that had taken place. So if I'd known about those at the time, yes, I may have acted differently, but I acted on the information I was given. 'I think I acted responsibly. I left him in no doubt of the expected behaviour that we expect at the BBC, if you like. I stand by the actions I took at the time with the knowledge that I had.' ITV staff working on daytime were told in a meeting in May that 220 production staff out of 440 will lose their jobs On the other daytime shows as previously revealed in the Mirror there will be cuts to Loose Women which will see less panelists needed than the current rota of 26. One insider insister 8-10 might leave in the New Year and it would mean the next six months would see panelists being more outrageous and bold with their comments than normal to keep the spot on the show. ITV have insisted there will be no widespread cuts when it comes to panelists. Good Morning Britain will also see big cuts and changes but the one constant will be Susanna Reid. A source previously told the Mirror: 'When there are cuts this big normally no one is safe but Susanne Reid is someone ITV want to build the show around and is seen as an essential part of daytime. She is 100% safe from the cuts but will be very worried for friends she has on GMB and what the cuts mean for the quality of the programme on screen.' Hundreds of staff are now in a consultation process at ITV.

Coronation Street Jack Webster's 'incredibly proud' news prompts co-star praise
Kyran Bowes was flooded with praise from his co-stars following some big news. Coronation Street star Kyran Bowes, who plays Jack Webster on the soap was praised by his co-stars after he shared some big news. The actor has grown up on the screen having joined the ITV show in 2016, taking over the role from twins Jaxon and Maddox Beswick. His on-screen birth was portrayed by twins Alex and Ellis Williamson. Fans of the soap will be aware that Jack is the teenage son of mechanic Kevin Webster and tragic Molly Dobbs, who died in the Weatherfield tram disaster. Jack has had an eventful young life on the cobbles, including a brush with death after battling sepsis which resulted in a life-saving surgery to have his leg amputated, reports Manchester Evening News. But away from his acting career, Kyran's latest social media update revealed his achievements off the screen. Taking to Instagram during A-Levels results day last week, the soap star shared: "The results are in…. "I am incredibly proud to say I received a Distinction Star, Distinction, Distinction in my Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development Course. "I have always enjoyed sports in my spare time, playing in football matches, refereeing at weekends for children's matches, helping out at sports clubs in the school holidays as well as my filming and I have worked really hard for this so I'm super proud of myself. "Thank you to my tutors, friends and family who have supported me all the way." And his Corrie pals were quick to show their love and support. Toyah Battersby actress Georgia Taylor said: "Oh well done, love!!" Vicky Myers, who plays DS Lisa Swain, replied: "Fantastic news! Congratulations." Leanne Battersby star Jane Danson wrote: "Congratulations darling! Fab news!" Joe Duttine, who stars as Tim Metcalfe, commented: "Well done Kyran." Sam Blakeman actor Jude Riordan posted: "Congrats Kyran." Amy Barlow star Elle Mulvaney added: "Well done Kyran!" Kyran later took to X (formerly known as Twitter), to thanks those who sent messages. He said: "Thank you so much to everybody that has sent me messages the last few days about my exam results! It means alot." In other Corrie news, an ex member of the beloved cast is to appear on the upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity. Adam Hussain, who plays Aadi Alahan, has been a fixture on the cobbles since his debut in 2006, alongside his twin sister Asha (Tanisha Gorey). Originally portrayed by Zennon Ditchett, Adam took over the role in 2020 - and it's safe to say Aadi's been embroiled in some serious drama. Recently the character inadvertently spiked Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) at a party. Fans have been bracing for Aadi's exit since April, when actor Adam Hussain announced his departure from the ITV soap. But he'll be reappearing on our screens far from the cobbles this autumn, in the Australian I'm A Celeb jungle. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The announcement was made on Thursday's (21 August) episode of The One Show, where hosts Roman Kemp and Clara Amfo welcomed Lewis into the studio to share his enthusiasm about joining the roster. The Vera actor disclosed that he was out with a mate when he received an unexpected call from BBC executives inviting him to join Strictly on Monday, and he immediately agreed to participate, reports Devon Live. When questioned about being a last-minute addition to the line-up, Lewis responded: "I think if anything it's helped me, because I haven't really had time to think about it or anything. The excitement has kind of just taken over. It's probably better for me." He concluded his message by saying: "Thank you all for your support, and I will be back on my feet very soon, in every sense. Love to all, Kristian."
