This Morning star Josie Gibson on the hunt for love in Glasgow as she seeks hunky Scotsman
During a recent trip to Glasgow, ITV star Josie said she was on the hunt for love.
Josie Gibson has declared that she's looking for love after a trip to Glasgow. During her visit, This Morning star Josie popped by The AC Hotel by Marriott where she fell in love with the space and even asked if she could get married there to a 'hunky Scotsman'.
'I have never, ever stayed in anywhere like this in my life,' Josie declared as she stepped into The Liberty Suite, a stunning two-bedroom residence featuring its own living area, dining space, and kitchen. The suite offers unrivalled views and elegant interiors that left the presenter captivated.
Josie visited Glasgow to get a first look at The Collector's Hall, AC Hotel's striking new venue designed for weddings, private events, and exclusive gatherings. The spacious, contemporary setting pairs perfectly with the refined luxury of The Liberty Suite. Josie took a look behind the scenes at the creation of the most anticipated venue in Glasgow and was stunned by its beauty.
Clearly impressed, Josie joked with General Manager, Craig Munro about her own romantic aspirations: 'Can I get married here? Can you imagine walking down the aisle to a hunky Scotsman… I've just got to find him first'.
Craig Munro was delighted by Josie's enthusiasm: 'It was an absolute privilege to have Josie stay in our Liberty Suite. This two-bedroom suite, with its unique layout and high-end finishes, complements our new wedding and event space perfectly. We're thrilled she enjoyed her time with us and would be honoured to host her big day - when that hunky Scotsman comes along!'
The AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow is more than just a modern luxury destination; it's a meticulous restoration of Glasgow's 120-year-old Grade A-listed former Parish Halls. As part of the £100 million Love Loan development, the project has transformed an entire block off George Square into a vibrant leisure and residential neighbourhood.
The hotel's heritage suites, including The Liberty Suite, showcase original features such as a sweeping stone staircase, period cornicing, a glass ceiling dome, and a stained-glass window depicting Glasgow's famous coat of arms inspired by the legend of St Mungo.
Now open for bookings, The Collector's Hall offers a chic and memorable venue in the heart of Glasgow. Whether it's an intimate wedding or a grand celebration, the team at AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow is ready to deliver unforgettable experiences with signature style and Scottish hospitality.
Elsewhere on Josie's Glasgow trip, she teamed up with Iceland to surprise a customer after she penned a heartfelt email to the Iceland boss.
Kayleigh McGregor emailed Richard Walker to express her 'genuine appreciation for what Iceland represents and how the supermarket consistently delivers for people like her'.
Glasgow resident Kayleigh said that it's rare to see a brand of Iceland's size not only acknowledge those who come from a working-class background, but also actively create products to suit their needs.
As well as praising Iceland's affordable meals, saying the quality is 'better than some restaurants she's paid triple for' and Iceland's actions during the pandemic, Kayleigh states that Iceland is more than just a supermarket, it's a 'lifeline'.
Josie arrived in Glasgow, surprising Kayleigh in an Iceland van full of some of the products she mentioned that she loved in her email, delivering items such as Greggs Steak Bakes, Iceland Chicken & Mushroom Curry, Brioche Rolls, and Iceland Thin & Crispy French Fries.

Loose Women star suffered 'sleepless nights' after brutal ITV cuts
A Loose Women panellist revealed she suffered from sleepless nights after ITV announced the cuts and changes to they daytime programmes Loose Women star Kaye Adams revealed she had a few 'sleepless nights' after ITV announced changes to the daytime programmes. The ITV programme will be cut to just 30 weeks of the year and the team behind Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women will all be merged, which will lead to redundancies at ITV. Lorraine Kelly's show is also being cut to 30 minutes and will air 30 weeks of the year. As a result, Good Morning Britain will be extended until 9.30am each day. Some of the Loose Women stars have yet to speak out, but Nadia Sawalha and Kaye recently broke their silence to share their thoughts on the changes. "What has been brutal over the past week and I am getting tearful about it, is that hundreds of people are going to be made redundant out of the blue," Nadia said in a recent YouTube video. Meanwhile, Kaye took to her How to be 60 podcast and said the cuts "came out of the blue". The 62-year-old admitted: "I didn't anticipate it, which is probably stupid in retrospect. You get into a sort of rhythm of life. "I had a couple of sleepless nights I have to say, because it's just like the rug's been pulled from under your feet – what has been familiar.' She continued: "It's going to have an impact. Lots of people will lose their jobs completely which is terrible. It's a huge change. But I gave myself a talking to and I listened to my own advice for once – change is hard, but it can be good. 'The past is a trap, don't fear the future – I'm telling myself all these things. And maybe this is the nudge that I needed to make some changes in my life and I'll just have to go with it.' Nadia spoke out about the cuts last week and told her fans that some people behind the scenes "are really suffering". She explained: "What you don't realise is when you attack the show you attack them, because you never see all the army of people behind the scenes and how hard they work. "So to all my friends and colleagues behind the scenes who have just got a huge shock out of the blue, I'm so sorry. Mark knows how upset I've been at home about it. I just can't bear it. So just be f*****g kind to people." She then added: "What people don't realise at Loose Women is that we're self-employed, I am self-employed. Every contract is a new contract. I could be let go tomorrow, in five years, you don't know because we're not employees. "So I can't tell you anything accept I am on for my next contract. What has been brutal over the past week and I am getting tearful about it, is that hundreds of people are going to be made redundant out of the blue.

Love Island rips up the rule book for sexiest season ever with giant bed for THROUPLES - and takes drastic measures after being slammed for unrealistic beauty standards
By The usual play of Love Island is to couple up with one other person from the opposite sex. But bosses are hoping for potential throuples in the villa this year as they 'tear up the rule book' and install new furniture to help encourage bonking and create drama. One of the new additions includes a trampoline bed that sits across the swimming pool, and the Love Island exec has insisted it has been tested for up to four people. The secret hideaway - which includes a bed and hot tub - is now open 24 hours a day for those that aren't coupled up. Speaking ahead of the 10-year anniversary series of the hit reality show, which will air on Monday, Creative Director of the show Mike Spencer-Hayler, told the Mail: 'There's a new trampoline bed, that would be good for throuples. 'It can take the weight of four, we've checked. It's all about keeping the show fresh and exciting. And that's what we've got.' ITV bosses have attempted to give the new villa and series a glam-up to avoid the show being boring. The TV executive also revealed ITV will broadcast intimate activity if and when it happens and that they've had to 'tear up the rule book' this year, after viewing figures have dwindled after years of tame series of the reality show hit. 'The hideaway is open for business for 24 hours all the time, as long as they don't come with their partner,' Mike said. 'We told the islanders last year they could but they kept forgetting they could come in here. We've seen the same things time and time again how and it's boring. We've got to move on. 'It felt static, and the show needs to feel fresh. People that come in, all do the same thing. Because they've all watched it time and time again. It became too formatted. 'We've got to push forward. All the twist and turns, we're going to give it all we've got to make it an exciting series.' Last year the show had a shock entry when TOWIE favourite Joey Essex, 34, entered the villa. Asked if they will be getting another former reality tv star or celebrity in as a contestant this year, Mike said something else will be a surprise. 'No former love islanders are coming in this year,' he said. Something big is coming in week one though. Not another reality star like Joey Essex.' 'We've got a big week one planned. It's not a celebrity, but totally new. It's even different this year the way islanders will couple up. 'You can't rest on people loving the show, we have to keep it exciting. Tear up the rule book a bit. In a bid to create further drama they have also shortened the walls of the iconic terrace, which is often used as a hideaway for bombshells looking to kiss another contestant in more private surroundings. But Mike confirmed the days of hiding away from prying eyes is all over. 'The terrace walls are shorter and more see through now too. So you can see more up there. We just felt like it was too covered up. Extra gossip.' Love Island has often come under fire for only casting ultra-thin singles who have the same body shapes 'year after year'. And even though the contestants of the show are shacked up with each other for up to eight weeks, it's often been criticised for not showing people eating meals and that the absence might encourage eating disorders and unrealistic beauty standards. Despite having their meals cooked for them by private chefs, ITV has previously confirmed the reason for not showing them eating is because mealtimes are considered downtime for the islanders and are not filmed due to technical reasons, like the sounds of eating with microphones. But it can now be revealed that contestants this year will be seen eating in the villa for the first time. 'In this day and age, we need to be showing it,' said the Love Island boss. 'Viewers always ask us where and when the islanders eat lunch and dinner. Well this year you'll see it on camera now.' Mike also said the reason comes as conversations are often heard amongst the islanders that make for good TV. 'There are chats that do happen whilst they eat,' he said. 'It might feature, it might not when it comes to the final edit, but there is a lot of whispering and there always has been. 'Sometimes it will affect how they might know information, because the viewer hasn't seen it. Now they will see it.' Love Island's 2025 lineup has already been mocked after unveiling 'clones' of previous stars. Love Island producers - who have long been accused of lacking diversity in their casting - seemed to be sticking to 'their type on paper' as they opted for new stars who bear striking resemblance to past contestants. Taking to social media, bemused fans penned: 'Why do the always pick people that look like ex islanders'; 'they all looks the same as past contestants ahahahahhahaha'; 'Let's guess... alot of clones again from other series ???' Fans were left doing a double take when Harry Cooksley was unveiled as the final Islander of the 2025 series, with many commenting that they had mistaken him for Tom Clare. In a spooky coincidence, Harry, 29, and Tom, 25, don't just have their rugged good looks in common, but their careers too - with both working as semi-professional footballers. Both the epitome of a blonde bombshells with their long, flowing curls and striking features, Helena Ford could be mistaken for Danielle Sellers. Helena, 29, also does already have a connection to the villa, as a friend of show favourite Zara McDermott. Fans were convinced Toby Aromolaran was attempting to go on the show for a fourth time when Kyle Ashman was unveiled. Megan Forte Clarke was already being dubbed a Maura Higgins lookalike when she was rumoured to be in the lineup. The actress, 24, from Dublin, recently starred as one of the Ugly Sisters in Cinderella, but she's likely to get the pulses racing on the ITV2 show due to her sassy Irish charm, which sparks further similarities to Love Island legend Maura. Lorraine Kelly insists she is 'not done yet' as she appears to hit back at rumours her show will cut for good after ITV's brutal daytime TV cutbacks
Lorraine Kelly has revealed her determination to keep her long-running show going in the wake of ITV's brutal cutbacks, as she pointedly declared, she was 'not done yet'. The TV veteran, 65, saw her show Lorraine face the brunt of the cuts, with the series to only air 30 weeks a year, and Good Morning Britain taking her 9-10am slot for the other 22. While the show's previous one hour runtime has also been slashed in half, now running for just 30 minutes from 9:30am to 10am. In her first interview since the news, Lorraine appeared to hit back at ITV, as she emphasised her four decade-long career. Speaking to Tom Kerridge on the Proper Tasty podcast, she also poured water on reports that her show could be cut for good, by stating she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Reflecting on how long she'd been on screens, Lorraine said: 'I've been doing telly for over 40 years. It's mad isn't it? It's absolutely crazy. I started in breakfast telly in 1984, and I'm still getting away with it. Extraordinarily.' Subtly alluding to her determination to keep her show going, she then added: '40 years in TV last year was incredible. I got a BAFTA. "Here's a BAFTA for being alive." I thought, "Hang on a minute, I'm not done yet".' While she also voiced her willingness to 'be unleashed' and hold less of herself back, saying: 'I think now I can be a lot cheekier. Because I've always been a bit naughty. 'Not so much in the morning, but if I do a wee show on Channel 4, or The Last Leg, or something like that. You can be unleashed. And I quite like that. 'You do have to have a self-edit button, and I'm finding mine is not operating as much as it should. 'So, when I'm sitting there and I look at something and I think, "Gosh, what an absolute k**b that person is," or how silly they are, I say it and I don't realise I've said it. So I have to watch.' But Lorraine admitted that even after all these years, she still feels some nerves when presenting her show, though not as bad as when she first started. She recalled: 'I remember being so scared about doing a piece to camera and just being unbelievably nervous. Speaking to Tom Kerridge on the Proper Tasty podcast, she also poured water on reports that her show could be cut for good, by stating she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon 'And that doesn't go away for a long time. It doesn't ever completely go away I don't think. I don't think it should.' It comes after MailOnline revealed Lorraine was given the chance by ITV bosses to merge her daytime show with GMB to present the last 30 minutes of their broadcast, but she declined. Last month, she was pulled into a meeting prior to the channel's budget cuts announcement where she was offered the new proposal, which was considered an 'easy fix' after the same format was adopted during the pandemic. Sources have revealed that Lorraine was 'insulted' by the suggestion and told bigwigs it wasn't a possibility, resulting in the reduced runtime of her show from an hour to 30 minutes. MailOnline understands that Lorraine, who has presented her show for the past 14 years, was prepared to 'walk away' but agreed to continue hosting the series until the end of 2026. The star is predicted to quit for good next year after a new role titled 'Head of Lorraine' was created to oversee the changes, but the contract is only for a 12-month period. Last month, ITV confirmed that ITN is taking over the output of Good Morning Britain while Lorraine and Loose Women will only air 30 weeks per year and are moving from Television Centre to a central London studio. A show insider revealed: 'Lorraine was pulled into a meeting with bosses where she was told about Good Morning Britain being taken over by ITN ahead of the public announcement. 'It was proposed that her show would merge with GMB so that she presented the last 30 minutes of the broadcast, which is what happened when a reduced team were working during lockdown. 'But she told them no and said it wasn't even a possibility... fast-forwarded two weeks and the channel announced her show would be cut from an hour to 30 minutes... 'The entire thing has been an insult and she's certain to leave when the year-long contract ends.' Staff now fear the presenter may decide to throw in the towel with a source telling The Mirror: 'There are genuine fears among staff that Lorraine may decide to walk if the quality of the show they are putting out declines. 'It's hard to see how standards won't fall….and there are questions over whether Lorraine will want to be associated with that. Lorraine and her team are perfectionists - it's why the show is loved by so many.' A second source said morale is now low among employees, adding: 'Staff are beside themselves, and have been in tears constantly. It doesn't make any sense given the trajectory the show is on.' MailOnline has contacted representatives for ITV and Lorraine Kelly for comment. Lorraine presented fewer than 60 per cent of the editions of her show broadcast in 2024, with Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard often filling in for her. The presenter said her absences were initially due to caring for her sick mother but then also became about her desire to do other things. She told The Guardian: 'It's really hurtful actually. It really is. I've not spoken about it before. I'm a grafter and I work really hard and I've had to take Fridays off for the past year. I just thought it was weird to care so much. 'Initially, it was for my mum who has been ill. And it sort of brings you into line with everyone else because if you look at This Morning, everybody else does four days. 'And as I'm getting older, I want to do other things, more writing, all of that. Mate, I've been doing this for 40 years, working my a**e off.' ITV sources told MailOnline that they have decided to cut resources on their daytime schedule so that the network can invest in more drama programmes. One said: 'There is a need to cost save but also so that the right money can go to the right shows and with everything getting more expensive these things have to be looked at.' The source added: 'Christine and Ranvir remain part of the ITV daytime family.'
