Tunisia: PhosCo awarded Gassaat phosphate exploration license
In what PhosCo itself calls a 'major breakthrough', the Australian company has announced that it has received government approval for the Gassaat phosphate exploration license in Tunisia. According to Small Caps, which broke the news, the Gassaat permit covers the Chaketma phosphate mineral resource estimate of 146 million tons at 20.6% phosphorus pentoxide, as well as additional phosphate targets immediately to the north of the deposit. The company has a 100% interest in the Zeflana project, which comprises three permits covering a total area of approximately 78 square kilometers in Tunisia, the Sekarna phosphate project to the northeast of Chaketma and the Amoud project in the northern basin.
