‘Perfect family' of four found massacred inside New Hampshire home in apparent murder-suicide

New York Post4 hours ago
A 'perfect' family of four was found shot to death inside their New Hampshire home in what officials believe was a murder-suicide – that left a toddler orphaned as the massacre's sole survivor.
Ryan Long, 48, his wife, Emily Long, 34, and their two young children, Parker, 8, and Ryan, 6, were discovered Monday night after authorities received a chilling 911 call reporting multiple deaths inside the family's Madbury home, the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office said, WBZ-TV reported.
The couple's three-year-old child was found alive and unharmed inside the house, and is now in the care of family.

'It was shocking,' neighbor Bevy Ketel told the outlet.
'It was a perfect family as far as we knew. It's just shocking. We didn't see it coming.'
Officials said the slain family members appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene, where a gun was found near their bodies.

The case is now being probed as a potential murder suicide as authorities await autopsy results.
'One of the biggest questions they have right now is motive, why?' Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati told WCAX.
'And I think that's probably one of the more difficult things that they are trying to grasp to understand how this came to be.'

While a motive remains unclear, the family's matriarch — who worked as director of operations at the restaurant chain Wing-Itz, according to her LinkedIn — often posted on social media about her struggles and despair as she coped with her husband's terminal cancer diagnosis.
Ryan, a school psychologist at Oyster River Middle School in Durham, was reportedly diagnosed with glioblastoma, a highly aggressive form of brain cancer.
In a TikTok posted just two days before police made the horrific discovery, Emily told her nearly 8,000 followers that her children were 'definitely struggling' and she herself had been 'really depressed' as she tried to restore health habits and normalcy in the home as her husband's health declined.

'I am determined to create normalcy,' she said in her grim video.
'I have been struggling so much and really depressed and just have really become reclusive, and just wanted to be with my kids and my husband. That being said, I'm making a change and it is starting today … And I'm making a point to get out my depression and do this for my family.'
The tragedy remains under investigation.

3 Friends Staying in Fla. Vacation Rental Claim Woman Followed Them into Elevator and Accused Them of 'Trespassing' (Exclusive)

The trio recorded the moment they were harassed by a resident of the building who repeatedly called them "pimp" and "whore" in a series of TikTok videos shared on Aug. 18 NEED TO KNOW A group of three friends staying in a Palm Beach, Fla. rental documented the moment they were harassed by another resident who allegedly lived in the building The resident claimed the group was 'trespassing' on her 'private property' when she found them taking photos in the hallway She can be seen following the group and calling them names in a three-part post shared by one of the friends on TikTok A group of friends staying in a vacation rental apartment in Palm Beach, Fla. documented the moment they were harassed by a resident who claimed they were 'trespassing.' Sharing the incident in a three-part TikTok series on Aug. 18, creator Polina, whose username is @polina_sussss21, explained how the whole ordeal began when the woman saw them taking photos in the hallway of the building. Polina, a model, noted in the video that one of her friends had rented a unit in the building so they could take pictures for his clothing brand's Instagram account. The first video shows the woman, who claimed she owned a property in the building, following the group around while pointing her phone camera at them. She can be heard shouting names like 'pimp' and 'whore' at the trio multiple times in the videos. Iris Grey — one of the friends involved in the incident and the person who recorded the videos that Polina shared — tells PEOPLE that while they remained respectful the whole time, the woman would not stop berating them. 'We were shooting a fashion campaign in a Palm Beach Hotel close to Mar-a-Lago for my friend Alexander Roys new collection, with Polina modeling, when a neighbor suddenly decided we were running a pimp and whore operation," says Grey, who also shared the incident to his Instagram account. He continues, "She kept insisting we were trespassing, calling us pimps and Polina a whore. Even though she followed and harassed us, we stayed respectful and kind. Didn't realize shooting a fashion campaign came with its own crime drama, but I think we should turn this negative energy into a positive.' In the TikTok, Polina explains that they eventually went 'downstairs to speak to [the] front desk because [the woman's] behavior was unacceptable." As the group tells the person seated at the front desk what happened, the woman can be heard repeatedly cutting into the conversation. 'What permission do they have but to rent the apartment and live in it, not to trespass on private property with their whoring event,' she says. 'They were outside of my home. My homestead property. I don't know where they're from.' The woman proceeds to call Polina a 'whore' as the group continues their conversation at the front desk. When they note that they were taking photos in a common area of the building, the woman interjects, 'It's common elements that I own, not that they rent. They rent their room, not my common elements.' In the second video that Polina shared, the group attempts to make their way back to their room as the woman follows them into the elevator. While one of the friends tries to block the entryway to the elevator, the woman pushes past him to get inside. She continues to point her camera at the group as she says, 'You're trespassing. Trespassing on my homestead property in Florida,' to which one of the friends responds, 'How are we trespassing? We rented an Airbnb.' (Grey later clarified to PEOPLE that the property was not an Airbnb and that it was a "direct rental from the owner.") The woman then says, 'So what? That gives you a right to your unit and only your unit." They exit the elevator and tell the woman that they're going back to their room, which prompts her to add, 'You get back into your room and I'll let you know your rights while you sit in Florida, whores.' Once the group finally reaches their unit, she tells them to 'stay in your f—ing room," as they close the door. She continues to stand outside with her phone pointed at them. Polina added in the caption, 'She waited outside our room for another 10 minutes.' In a third TikTok, Polina says that the host of the rental contacted her after she shared the incident and offered her a free stay at their place. She also noted that the owner claimed this woman has harassed other people in the past and that she's known to cause issues. Many users flocked to the comments section of the videos to call out the woman's unruly behavior. 'WTH?! So you rented a unit in a building with common areas, took a few pics, and she's acting like she owns the whole property?? Can't wait until people she knows sees this derogatory rant,' one person commented. Another wrote, 'Why is no one talking about how she followed you to YOUR unit???' Others commended the group for how they handled the incident. 'This was handled so well,' one person added, followed by another who commented, 'My anger issues would've handled things differently than these sweet folks.' A man ripping down anti-Trump signs from a Des Moines overpass sparks charges

A man allegedly captured on video tearing down placards from a Des Moines bridge that had criticized President Donald Trump has been charged with assault and fifth-degree criminal mischief, according to Des Moines Police. Footage of the incident, recorded during rush hour Aug. 12, shows a man crossing from the roadway onto the pedestrian side of the 56th Street overpass above Interstate 235. In the video, the man can be seen ripping the placards off the bridge, each carrying a single letter spelling 'TRUMP = HITLER', that had been fastened to the bridge railing with bungee cords. Police have filed misdemeanor charges against Bradley Jay Nall, 68, in connection with the incident. A person identifying himself as Nall started a GoFundMe page that references the bridge incident and calls for 'SUPPORT FOR PATRIOT STANDING UP FOR TRUMP.' The page had raised $240 from seven donations as of Aug. 20. A video of the altercation protest organizer Heather Ryan posted on social media has since been viewed more than 500,000 times. Ryan told the Des Moines Register that before the incident, the demonstration had been calm. 'We only got six people flipping us the bird. That's pretty darn good,' Ryan said. But tensions escalated when the man, later identified as Nall, approached the protesters, she said. 'He was yelling, 'What are you gonna do? What you gonna do? Who's gonna stop me, huh? Who's gonna stop me?'' she said. 'It was terrifying. … It was like nothing I've ever experienced.' In the video, protestors and the man identified as Nall can be seen shouting back and forth and exchanging curse words. Ryan said social media users and a license plate check helped identify the man, and she and another protestor went to authorities to press charges. In a video she posted Aug. 13, Ryan filmed herself leaving a Des Moines police station holding a case card and saying, 'simple assault charges filed.' She added in the video, 'I did not know until today that if somebody comes up on you aggressive and ready to punch you out, that's assault.' The Register attempted to contact Nall, but a number associated with him had been deactivated. And messages on the GoFundMe site have gone unanswered. The post on GoFundMe says: 'I didn't put my hands on anyone, I took the signs down. I am just an ordinary working man who took a stand against people who want to try to slander President Trump's name and malign him with Adolf Hitler.' In their news release, Des Moines Police said the two people who came forward to press charges reported that Nall "aggressively approached the group with the intent to tear down the signs" before he 'pushed a sign that one victim was holding, striking her in the head.' The department said it is continuing its investigation. 'They're harassing me, my job, and my family as well as completely innocent people who had old phone numbers and addresses of mine because the lunatics were trying to doxx me," the GoFundMe posting said. In a video update posted Aug. 14, Ryan said a detective assigned to the case told her the man had requested a meeting with protestors to apologize. 'He wanted a face-to-face interaction to apologize in exchange for us dropping the charges,' she said. 'But I'm just not interested.' Ryan said the group had displayed similar protest signs on Des Moines bridges before and will continue to protest. Nick El Hajj is a reporter at the Register. Yulee teen faces felony charges after cyberbullying investigation

Yulee teen faces felony charges after cyberbullying investigation The Nassau County Sheriff's Office says a 13-year-old girl is facing felony charges following a cyberbullying investigation. According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a home on August 1 after the parents found life-threatening posts on TikTok directed at their child. That account appeared to belong to a former Yulee Middle School student. The Sheriff's Office says that because of the threatening posts, the Sheriff's Office and the school received several calls from parents saying they plan to keep their kids home on the first day of school. ▶ Listen to Jacksonville's Morning News Interviews The School Resource Officer from Yulee Middle School set up a meeting with the student who was believed to be behind the account and their parents. The student's parents said they have parental controls in place that prevent their child from downloading and using social media apps. The account was reported to TikTok and was removed. The Sheriff's Office says a second account was created the next day using the same child's name and likeness without their permission. The Sheriff's Office says school resource officers received a tip on August 13 identifying a possible suspect behind the account. Investigators interviewed the 13-year-old girl at Yulee Middle School and searched her phone. The phone contained the profile picture and other photos linked to the threatening TikTok account. The teen is being charged with electronic threats to kill and aggravated stalking. 'No matter your age, threats of this nature come with serious consequences,' says Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper. 'Not only did this child make disturbing threats, but she did so using the identity of another student, whose reputation was unfairly damaged in the process. Let this serve as a reminder for parents to closely monitor their child's activity on any device.'
