Paul McCartney describes Spinal Tap song as ‘literature' in first sequel trailer
Speaking in the trailer, Sir Paul says: 'Pink Torpedo, that's literature, really.'
The film is a follow-up to This Is Spinal Tap (1984), and follows David St Hubbins (Michael McKean), Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) as they reunite after a 15-year hiatus.
In the trailer, introduced by Marty DiBergi (played by real life director Rob Reiner), the band's members are seen to have launched their own cryptocurrency and worked in a shop during their time apart.
Their reunion is revealed to take place in New Orleans as a replacement for 'an evening with Stormy Daniels' which was cancelled at the venue, while a scene showing them going through merchandise for the show sees the band looking at branded Tap Water.
The band are later asked whether one of them would be willing to die during the concert, with one of the members replying: 'Would you settle for a coma?'
Spinal Tap II: The End Continues will be released in cinemas in the UK on September 12.
The original film followed the band from their beginnings as the skiffle group, The Originals, through to their time as a 1960s R&B group called The Thamesmen who had a hit with Gimme Some Money, before eventually becoming Spinal Tap, which begins as a psychedelic band before moving into heavy metal.
As Spinal Tap, the film follows the group as they release the album Smell The Glove, which retailers refuse to sell due to its sexist cover, and plan a large-scale, Druid-themed glam rock show, but a replica of Stonehenge which was supposed to be 18ft high, ends up being 18 inches after they get the measurements wrong.
The name Spinal Tap has become a derogatory term to describe real bands who overindulge in rock cliches, while the film also gave birth to the phrase 'turn it up to 11' after guitarist Nigel's amps were shown to have volume switches that go to 11 rather than 10 in the original movie.

Celebrity SAS star Hannah Spearritt's life including quitting UK and S Club heartbreak
S Club 7 star Hannah Sprearitt is best known for being an original band member of the pop group as well as appearing in sci-fi drama Primeval and BBC soaps Casualty and EastEnders Hannah Sprearitt is one of the 14 recruits called up to take part in the latest series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. The famous faces will abandon their glamorous and luxurious lifestyles to immerse themselves in the punishing Special Forces training environment. This year's course will be physically demanding and psychologically gruelling, all but a few who take part will fail but who will make it to the end and eventually pass? Speaking about her latest challenge, Hannah said: "I hope to take out of this experience, strength. I want to feel stronger again, mentally and physically, because there's always improvement there. "There are always dips that happen along the way with motherhood or whatever but I think when you just experience different stuff, it changes you. I have no idea what to expect, but I do know it will be an experience and it's something that I will have for life." She added: "However the experience goes, I am going to learn about myself. Maybe I'll find out I am a bit of a mess or I might find out that I'm stronger than I think I am…it's finding out things about yourself that you would never, ever find out. "We live in this world where it's so easy to live in our comfort zone, so this is an opportunity to get outside of that and…for me anyway, growth and expansion is one of the most important things, and that is something that hopefully I can pass on to my kids." Why did Hannah leave S Club 7? In 1998, Hannah auditioned for and became a member of S Club 7. In the five years they were together, the group had four UK number one singles and a UK number one album. They recorded a total of four studio albums, released eleven singles and went on to sell over fourteen million albums worldwide. However, In 2003, a year after band member Paul Cattermole left the group, they announced during a live onstage performance that they were to disband. 11 years alter, all seven band members reunited for a UK arenas tour. In February 2023, the band announced that they would reunite for a 25th anniversary tour later that year but two months later, Hannah's ex Paul died of several heart conditions. In May 2023, the group announced that they had changed their name to S Club and that Hannah would not join them on their coming tour, which they would honour as the Good Times Tour as a tribute to Paul. Hannah said at the time that she was "extremely excited" to get back together with her bandmates but Paul's death "changed everything". 'I hadn't been in the best of health. I've got a compromised immune system and stress makes it worse," she told The Sun. "My body just couldn't cope with everything that was happening. I wasn't myself. I was getting these crippling panic attacks, was suffering from really bad vertigo and was tired all the time." She said it was also "affecting my kids too" as she had no energy, adding that she had to make a decision that was right for her and her family. Hannah also issued an apology to fans as she said she didn't want to let them down. Why did Hannah leave the UK? Hannah recently revealed earlier this year that she'd put her pop star days behind her and has taken up a new career a farmer in Costa Rica. A trip to the region in 2018 is said to have proved transformative and inspired the family to seek out a simpler lifestyle. The Reach hitmaker gave fans an insight into her new life on social media after making the move with her partner, Adam Thomas, and their two daughters, Taya and Tora. Taking to Instagram, she shared a picture of her daughters enjoying a meal in their new surroundings. So far the change appears to be agreeing with her with the former Dancing On Ice contestant writing in the accompanying caption: "Well... we finally made it to paradise. Beautiful country, beautiful people." Hannah previously spoke out about being left homeless with the faily being forced to move into an office. They were given two months to find somewhere else to live when their landlord sold the rented property they were living in but the moving date was brought forward and left the couple with nowhere to go.

After all, this wasn't just any accommodation — we had a theme park as our back garden. Following a £1million investment, this beloved Cornwall attraction now welcomes guests overnight with the launch of Camel Creek Camping & Glamping. And my 11-year-old daughter Lexi, husband Paul and I were among the first families to experience it. The site offers grass, hard-standing, and all-weather touring pitches plus luxurious glamping options including bell tents and safari lodges. The whole area has been beautifully landscaped: Think lots of twinkling lights, greenery and space. Our safari lodge, aptly named Sunset, overlooked West Country farmland stretching to the horizon. More importantly, it was just a two-minute walk from more than 40 thrilling rides and attractions. Despite being a sophisticated tent rather than a solid building, the lodge was surprisingly spacious — big enough to sleep nine — though smaller family safari tents sleeping up to four are also available. And it came with a private deck, en-suite bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. We were amazed by the luxury touches: Super-soft linens, quality towels and proper kitchen utensils that made it feel like a premium hotel under canvas. The seaside town of Newlyn in Cornwall has been dubbed as one of the 'coolest' places to relocate Luckily for us, Camel Creek is a fantastic day out no matter what the weather, as many of the rides and attractions are under cover. The park boasts more than 45,000sq ft of indoor play areas, ensuring families can enjoy themselves even on rainy days. Key covered attractions include the newly designed Hidden Garden indoor play and cafe, Creeky's Playhouse (an indoor soft play area), the 5D Theatre with moving seats and 3D glasses and various animal encounters housed in indoor facilities like the reptile house. The water rides are probably the best for adrenaline junkies — and those who don't mind getting wet, which Lexi didn't. As it was quiet due to the weather, she went on her favourite water ride Thunder Falls, six times in a row — drenched, yet in high spirits, by the time she got off. Luckily a hot shower was only moments away. Merlin's Magical Playground is ideal for younger children, and home to a ball pit and slides. Leopard cats Animal lovers will enjoy the meerkats, pets corner and the reptile house. And new for this year are owls and leopard cats. My favourite ride was Raging Rivers, water slides you bomb down. The climb up is a bit arduous, but it's worth the effort. Standing more than 20ft above the ground, it offers two different slide experiences — a long bumpy ride or an almost vertical-drop smooth ride that will leave your heart racing. After a few hours in the park, we headed back to our lodge to dry off then ventured out to the on-site restaurant. There is also a shop selling basic provisions if you want to cook. If it had been warm enough, we would have fired up the barbecue that came with our safari lodge set-up. Another time. The flexibility of having both indoor dining options and the ability to self-cater made our stay incredibly convenient, especially with unpredictable weather. After an action-packed day we were happy to retire to our lodge. The insulation and heating worked brilliantly, making the lodge surprisingly warm and cosy. It was hard to believe we were under canvas. Although the wind whipped up a little, we all slept well and stayed warm enough during the night. The next day, we had a couple more hours in the park. Arriving as it opened, we were delighted to be among the first on many of the rides. We loved our night of glamping at Camel Creek, even with the typical British weather doing its worst.
