IAN WRIGHT has urged former club Arsenal to buy Ademola Lookman this summer.
The Gunners are seeking to bolster their attack following three consecutive runner-up finishes.

Lookman, 27, has had previous Premier League spells with Everton, Fulham and Leicester - with mixed fortunes.
Since moving to Atalanta in 2022, the winger has gone from strength to strength - winning the Europa League and finishing 14th in the Ballon d'Or last year.
Wright, 61, believes that Lookman would be well placed to improve Mikel Arteta's front line.
On his Wrighty's House podcast, the former forward said: "I'm going to go with Ademola Lookman winning the African Player of the Year in respects of that man's journey.

"I remember him from Charlton, it didn't work out [the] £10million [move] to Everton, then moving all over the place, the journey from loan to this, then I think that's one of the most devastating performances I've seen in any final with that hat-trick he scored.
"You know, it's just… I can't help but look at his dark moment where it would have been dark for him. You know, especially all those loans going to another country.
"And you know what? He never had no problem going wherever he needed to go to find it.
"And then obviously, like you say, you find your place. Like Scott McTominay's found that, like he [Lookman] found with Atalanta.

"I hope we can buy him, Arsenal.
"I would love someone like him to come back to the Premier League and say, 'listen, I have unfinished business here so I am going to help Arsenal win the league'.

"But I just admire his journey and now he's recognised rightly as a top player, unbelievable."
SunSport recently revealed that Lookman has admirers at Arsenal.
Some Gunners chiefs, however, are concerned about his age - believing that at 27 Lookman may have already peaked.
In addition to Arsenal, Liverpool are keeping tabs on the £50m-rated former Evertonian.

Roma appoint former Atalanta coach Gasperini as new manager
June 6 (Reuters) - Former Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has been appointed AS Roma's new manager, the Serie A club said on Friday, with the 67-year-old signing a three-year contract. Gasperini left Atalanta on Saturday after nine years in charge, and will replace the retired Claudio Ranieri at Roma who finished fifth in the standings last season to qualify for the Europa League, a trophy Gasperini won with his previous club. Ranieri became Roma's third managerial appointment last season when the 73-year-old came out of retirement to return for his third spell in charge at the club where he began his playing career and now has an advisory role. Gasperini announced in February that he would not be signing a new deal at Atalanta, with his contract ending in June and while there was an option to extend it by a year, he decided the time was right to move on. "Gasperini's career is defined by its creative tactics, dedication to hard work, and exceptional player development," a Roma club statement said. "Both ownership and Claudio Ranieri believe Gasperini is the right man for the mission." He helped take Atalanta from Serie A strugglers to regular European football, winning the Europa League in 2024, which was not only the club's maiden European triumph, but Gasperini's first trophy in a long managerial career which began in 2003. Gasperini began his coaching career at Crotone and has also managed Genoa, Inter Milan and Palermo, but made a name for himself at Atalanta, achieving European qualification in his first season after an absence of 26 years for the club. Atalanta led the Serie A standings last season in December and were involved in the title race for a long period before finishing third for the fourth time under Gasperini. Roma won the Conference League in 2022 and were losing finalists in the Europa League the following year and will look to Gasperini to take them back to Champions League football for the first time since 2019.

Reynolds and McElhenney 'ready to sell their stake' as Wrexham's value soars
Wrexham are gearing up for a season in the Championship and co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are looking to bring extra investment into the Welsh club Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are said to be willing to sell a stake in Wrexham following their promotion to the Championship. Wrexham have enjoyed a remarkable rise since they were bought by Reynolds and McElhenney back in 2021 for around £2million. The club has been promoted three times in four full seasons under the two Hollywood stars, rising from the National League to the Championship; now they are looking to raise additional funds in a bid to help Wrexham go one step further and reach the Premier League. According to a report from Bloomberg, Reynolds and McElhenney are considering selling a stake in the club for a valuation of up to £350m. Earlier this year, the Allyn family became minority investors, with Wrexham valued at around £100m. However, the club's profile has risen further following their recent promotion and the report states that Wrexham are now working investment bank advisers to gauge potential interest. A £350m valuation would make Wrexham the most expensive team in Championship, with Sheffield United recently bought for around £111m by an American consortium. Speaking after Wrexham secured promotion from League One, Reynolds reiterated their ambition as he told Sky Sports: "Four years ago, this man [McElhenney] said our goal is to make it to the Premier League. And there was understandably a lot of titters, laughter and giggles - but it's starting to feel like a tangible thing that could actually come to fruition." Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson, meanwhile, is confident the club are ready to make the "huge" step up from League One to the Championship. "I think everybody knows the jump is huge," Parkinson said. "But I'm confident we will be well prepared for that. I think that a lot of tough decisions will be made this summer, in terms of who we bring in and how we add to this fantastic squad of lads we've got, but let's see if we can build a squad to compete at that level. "I think it's interesting because the jump in salaries is incredible, mind-blowing. Even coming up to this level [League One], the jump to get players of Championship quality is expensive but obviously with the next level, I don't think people outside football quite realise. "They think players in League One must be multi-millionaires, but the drop-off from what people read about Premier League players when they come down is huge. "That is a challenge, but what we've always tried to do is make sure the culture in the club is right and I think that's key - no superstars, no egos in the dressing room and we've got to try and get that balance right again. He is beyond doubt an excellent centre-half and will only keep on improving as years progress. Give him all the encouragement he needs to stay at a club that is on the Branthwaite is the best young centre-back in the world! Tall, strong, quick, good passing ability, everything you need. Just needs to improve his leadership, but that will come with age. Nothing would tempt me to sell him, as you cannot replace him.
