STEPHENSON, Wis. (WFRV) – Three people were pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Friday night in Marinette County after one driver reportedly missed a stop sign.
According to the Marinette County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a crash on County Highway A at Moonshine Hill Road in the Town of Stephenson around 9:20 p.m. on May 23.
Deputies say that based on their investigation, a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Daniel W. Mrotek of Berlin was driving west on Moonshine Hill Road when he reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a northbound vehicle on County Highway A.

The northbound vehicle was driven by 71-year-old Thomas J. Robe of Oak Creek, with one passenger, Sharon R. Robe, 68.
Deputies say that Mrotek, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from his vehicle. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff's Office and the Marinette County Medical Examiner's Office.

Two people were critically hurt following a crash Wednesday night on the city's Near West Side. It happened shortly after 10 p.m. in the 2400 block of West Washington Boulevard. A driver who allegedly ran a red light crashed into a forklift in downtown Los Angeles Thursday morning. The Los Angeles Police Department said a call came in around 2:36 a.m. about a crash near the intersection of Naomi Avenue and Olympic Boulevard. Police said the driver of an Audi was traveling westbound on Olympic Boulevard when they ran a red light and crashed into a forklift. The impact from the crash launched the forklift operator onto the roadway. The operator was taken to a local hospital with head injuries. After the crash, the forklift continued moving across the street and crashed into a nearby truck. The LAPD said the driver of the Audi suffered a leg injury and was also taken to the hospital. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
