JD Vance has now weighed in on the 'escalating' online feud between US President

. Commenting on the public dispute, Vance expressed concern over the implications of the high-profile disagreement, saying that Musk made a huge mistake for attacking the President in such a manner.
"I think it's a huge mistake for him to go after the president like that," Vance said in an episode of "This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von," which was released on Saturday.
"I just think it's a huge mistake for the world's wealthiest man, I think one of the most transformational entrepreneurs ever — that's Elon — to be at this war with the world's most powerful man," said Vance, while acknowledging Musk's right to his opinion.
The conflict between the

and Trump began last week after Musk criticised the President's "Big Beautiful Bill," calling it a "disgusting abomination."

Vance hints Trump is frustrated
Vance indicated that Trump had been "a little frustrated" by Musk's recent criticisms. He expressed hope that the feud would resolve, stating it would be "bad for the country" and that he hoped Musk "figures it out" and "comes back into the fold."
"Hopefully Elon figures it out, comes back into the fold. President was frustrated but I think has been very restrained because President doesn't think he needs to be in a blood feud with Elon & I think if Elon chills out a lil bit, everything would be fine," he said.
Vance also provided context for Musk's potential frustration, acknowledging the complexities of the legislative process in Washington. He defended the spending bill, designed to prevent significant tax increases.
"I get Elon's frustration. Congress got the spending bill, but main purpose of bill is not spending/cutting,but is to prevent biggest tax increase. It's a good bill, not a perfect bill. If you're a business leader, you get frustrated with that bureaucratic process in DC," he added.
"Elon is an incredible entrepreneur. The sort of effort to root out waste, fraud & abuse in our country, DOGE is really good. Elon is new to politics, right? His businesses are being attacked nonstop. They're fire bombing some of his cars. I get the frustration there," Vance said.
The public dispute escalated when President Trump responded during a White House event, expressing disappointment in Musk and stating he had "helped Elon a lot."

G. Vivek, continuing his father's legacy
HYDERABAD The younger son of prominent Congress leader and former Union Minister Gaddam Venkatswamy, popularly known as 'Kaka', Vivek Venkatswamy was elected from the Chennur (SC) Assembly constituency in Mancherial district as a Congress candidate in 2023. He studied in Hyderabad Public School and did his MBBS at Osmania Medical College. Mr. Vivek's political career began with victory in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections from Peddapalli. During his term in the 15th Lok Sabha (2009–2014), he served in Parliamentary Standing Committees on Coal and Steel. He later served as Adviser to the Government of Telangana on Inter-State Relations. A committed activist during the statehood movement, Mr. Vivek leveraged his position as an MP to advocate for the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He played a key role in mobilising Congress MPs in support of the demand, thereby contributing to the creation of Telangana. Before re-joining Congress in 2023, he was associated with BRS and BJP. His son, Vamshi Krishna, also joined the Congress and won from the Peddapalli Lok Sabha constituency in 2024. Mr. Vivek's wife, G. Saroja, has also been involved in public affairs. His brother, Gaddam Vinod, is currently serving as the Bellampalli MLA. Mr. Vivek also runs a news channel and a Telugu daily. He had a long association with the Hyderabad Cricket Association.
