Quavo Records Two New Songs Live on Plaqueboy Max's Livestream
On Tuesday, Quavo sat down with PlaqueBoyMax in the studio during the producer's recent livestream and hopped in the booth to record some new tracks live for the viewers. The first song, 'Nun,' has a rambunctious trap beat, as Quavo drops some braggadocious flexes over soaring horns and hard-hitting drums. The second song, 'Glacier,' is much slower, as Quavo sings his way through to the end.

The new joints from Quavo come shortly after he unveiled a posthumous Takeoff collab titled 'Dope Boy Phone.' The new track came as the former Migos rapper makes a pivot into acting, and said in April he thinks he'll eventually become bigger than other rappers-turned-actors like Will Smith.
'They cant f— with me,' he told TMZ. The Atlanta star recently starred in High Rollers with John Travolta, which is a sequel to their previous film Cash Out that featured Sex and the City's Kristin Davis. Quavo was also in Savage Salvation alongside Robert De Niro and John Malkovich as well as Praise This with Chloe Bailey and Druski. His next starring role will likely be in an upcoming heist film called Takeover, which will also star Billy Zane. The movie was originally shot in 2022, but as of 2025 still does not yet have any locked-in release date.

Watch A$AP Rocky Show His Devious Side in ‘If I Had Legs I'd Kick You' Movie Trailer
A$AP Rocky's adding to his acting lore, as he's set to star alongside Rose Byrne in A24's If I Had Legs I'd Kick You movie. The Mary Bronstein-directed dramedy released a trailer on Wednesday (Aug. 6), which finds Byrne playing a mother, who works as a psychotherapist, in the midst of crashing out. Conan O'Brien, Christian Slater and Danielle Macdonald are among those filling out the cast. 'With her life literally crashing down around her, Linda attempts to navigate her child's mysterious illness, her absent husband, a missing person and an increasingly hostile relationship with her therapist,' reads a logline for the film. A$AP Rocky Teases New Song at Cannes During 'Highest 2 Lowest' Premiere As for Rocky, he's in the role of a character named James, who appears to be a neighbor who might know a little too much and is looking for a partner-in-crime to get into some mischievous activities. 'Yo, crazy pants, I was gonna partake in surfing the web for some things that I'm into,' the rapper deviously says in the clip. If I Had Legs I'd Kick You is slated to hit theaters on Oct. 10. The movie was the darling of Sundance Film Festival, where it premiered, and Rose Byrne won the Silver Bear for best lead performance at the Berlin Film Festival. Prior to the A24 flick's arrival, the Harlem rapper-actor is set to star in Spike Lee's Highest 2 Lowest alongside Denzel Washington, which will be released in theaters on Aug. 22 and will land on Apple TV+ on Sept. 5. Rocky has a pair of songs ('Trunks,' 'Both Eyes Closed') slated to appear on the Highest 2 Lowest soundtrack dropping on Aug. 15. Lee previously raved about Rocky's acting, saying he held his own with Denzel on set. 'Yeah, don't sleep on A$AP. In this film, Denzel and A$AP go toe-to-toe,' Spike teased on The Tonight Show. 'What's interesting is, even before I got involved with this film, I always thought that A$AP looked like he could be Denzel's son. There's a big resemblance. So when you see it on the screen, it adds an element of father and son.' Watch the If I Had Legs I'd Kick You trailer below. Jussie Smollett, Jessie James Decker & More Will Be Put to the Test on ‘Special Forces' Season 4
Jussie Smollett and Jessie James Decker both have what it takes to make the Billboard charts, but do they have the fortitude to pass some of the most difficult tasks that some members of the military face during training? Fans will get a chance to find out, as the musicians are joining season four of Fox's Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. 'It was at this moment I said… 'I should've just done The Masked Singer,'' Smollett joked in his Instagram post sharing the news of his casting. In addition to the former Empire star, whose conviction for allegedly staging a racist and homophobic attack on himself was overturned in 2024, and the country singer, who finished in 10th place on season 31 of Dancing With the Stars, a host of reality TV stars as well as athletes and other personalities will put their abilities to the test, this time in Morocco and led by a team of ex-special forces members. Among the 18 contestants are Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia, whose split from country star Zach Bryan in 2024 made headlines; Vanderpump Rules and The Valley's Brittany Cartwright; Sister Wives star Kody Brown; Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson East; present and former NFL players Randall Cobb, Eric Decker (who is married to Jessie James Decker), Andrew East (married to Shawn Johnson East) and Johnny Manziel; soccer star Christie Pearce Rampone; model Chanel Iman and more. Smollett and Jessie James Decker aren't the first musicians to attempt Special Forces. Spice Girl Mel B, country singer Beverley Mitchell and Jamie Lynn Spears all competed in season one. Season two saw JoJo Siwa and Vanderpump Rules star and Most Extras cover band frontman Tom Sandoval attempt the course. The third season did not feature any musicians. None of the musician contestants passed the Special Forces training course. Season four is set to kick off on Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. on Fox. It will also stream the next day on Hulu. Adam Sandler Reveals How He Got Eminem to Make a Cameo in ‘Happy Gilmore 2'
Happy Gilmore 2 boasts a plethora of cameos, with one of the standouts being Eminem. Adam Sandler joined The Dan Patrick Show earlier in July, where he revealed how he got Slim Shady to be involved with the anticipated Netflix sequel. Sandler admitted he hates bugging his friends for cameos, and was reluctant to reach out to Em for the film. ''I love Eminem. I'm friends with Eminem, but I don't want to bother the man,' he said in the interview. 'And everybody kept saying, 'Man, Eminem would be so funny in this part.' I was like, 'I don't want to ruin this guy's time. He's hanging out. He's in Detroit. He's doing his life making records.'' More from Billboard Australian Rockers The Angels Honored With Laneway & Mural in Hometown Lady Gaga's 'Wednesday' Role Will Also Include a Spooky New Song for Season 2 Metro Boomin Blames Social Media for Music Not Being Regional Anymore: 'Let's Get Back to Actual Culture' Eventually, Sandler said he was convinced by others on the set to give the rapper a call. 'Let me bug Marshall and give him a call and say, 'Dude, I know it's a pain in the a—, but it's pretty funny. You mind shooting out to us for a day?'' To which Eminem obliged, apparently saying ''Yeah, send me the stuff.'' Fans of the original 1996 comedy will remember the character of Donald, portrayed by the late comedian Joe Flaherty, who repeatedly interrupts Happy's backswing, calling him a 'jacka—.' In the new film, Eminem plays Donald's son, who returns to heckle the golfer in his father's honor. Sandler also recalled meeting Eminem on the set of Saturday Night Live when he was no longer part of the cast in 1999. Em referred to Sandler as his Waterboy character, Bobby Boucher. 'I remember the first time I met him. I was at SNL. I wasn't on the show anymore,' he said. 'And I was at a table with all my guys and he was the musical guest with [Dr. Dre] and we were at the afterparty, and then Marshall walked by our table and he looked at me and I looked at him like, 'Oh yeah, that kid's pretty damn cool.' And then he goes 'Bobby Boucher! I go, 'Oh yes, that's what's up, Marshall.' And then we became friendly after that.' With Happy Gilmore 2 hitting Netflix, it's not the first time Sandler and Eminem have co-starred, as the rap icon also appeared in 2009's Funny People with Sandman.
